Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleaning + Makeup Remover

I am currently using this product and I love it... I use it every night before going to bed to was the day off, I find it very gentle on my face and it really does get all my make-up off... I use to use a make up remover then facial wash & then a toner which sometimes made my skin feel raw & would be a long routine & not something I really looked forward to at the end of the day but now all I use is Netrogena fresh cleaning and I don't have any make-up residue on my face before I go to bed & this routine is much easier.

This sounded like it would be perfect for me: I have dryer skin, prefer facial cleansers to makeup removing wipes, but often find that makeup cleansers strip my skin really badly. I liked that this was supposedly natural as well.

It has a fresh green apple scent - a bit artificial in my opinion, but fairly pleasant.

It removed my makeup well, and I didn't have to tug at my skin to get it off.

HOWEVER. My skin has never felt more painfully dry as it did after I used this. Even when I applied heaps of moisturiser it still felt tight and dry. I used this for nearly a week in the hopes that it would work, but each time my skin dried out more and I ended up with dry patches around my nose and forehead - not attractive!

I so wanted this to work, but sadly I've had to stop using it on my face - it's now being used as a handwash in the bathroom (and I still find it fairly drying for that too!).

this reminds me of lush ultrabland and it basically is! i love the smell, how it is natural and different from ultrabland, it doesnt have that greasy feeling

The Neutrogena naturals range smells AMAZING. Always been a huge fan of their products. But this range takes the cake :) It's so easy to use, so smooth on your face, takes off my 'other face' like a breeze and it doesn't leave my face with that overly dry feeling. This product is amazing! It does what it's supposed to do and it smells soooo good!

The title of this review gives my opinion away :)

Starting with the positives though, love the pump bottle and how it locks-great for travelling. Minimalistic packaging design also a bonus, doesn't scream 'girly' making it suitable for guys too. Natural ingredients fitting in with the whole Neutrogena philosophy of their brand another bonus. This product continually surprises me how well it removes ALL of my make-up. Most cleansers leave me with remnants of mascara smudged under my eyes thus requiring a second round of cleansing. This product is 'BAM!' make-up begone!! Doesn't leave skin feeling tight either.

On the negative side, for a natural product I can't understand why they gave it such a fake apple shampoo smell. It's quite overpowering and doesn't seem to fit with the whole 'natural' theme. Also, if this gets in your eyes, even a tiny bit, be careful because crikey, she BURNS! Not sure what ingredient lends itself to the burning sensation but this aspect has prevented me from giving it 5/5.

I got this ages back when Neutrogena did a promotion. It has been sitting in the back of my bathroom cupboard but I pulled it out the other day. Boy was I glad I did! I hadn't used it straight away as I thought it was more a cream cleanser which is not the best with my oily skin. It has a beautiful fragrance and a silky texture when you use the convenient pump to get the product out (I hate fiddling with caps- especially when I'm in the shower). I wet my face first and then used one pump and massaged it round. I make easy work of all my work day make-up, even the waterproof mascara. It felt smooth and non-drying while cleansing. My skin was slightly dry afterwards but this is common with gel/foaming type cleansers so no biggie, was solved with a little moisturiser. All in all a great product for the price and nice to know it has more natural ingredients than the cleanser I typically use. I think it's going to last me quite a while too which is nice. I have yet to try this when I have been wearing heavier make-up and eyeliner but think it will work well going on the results I have had so far!

Didn't do anything to help remove eye make-up, I had to scrub scrub scrub. It also left my skin really, really dry, I was having to moisturise my forehead throughtout the day. Certainly won't be buying this again, I ended up binning it.

I bought this one when there was a special and I wanted a natural makeup remover. I never used it around my eyes and good thing too because it irritated my skin and that's using it in the shower. I wanted it to work because I love natural products and it was reasonably priced so I gave it several more chances till I decided to stop irritating my face. It sat in the bathroom cupboard till my sister moved in with me. I gave it to her since she didn't have a make up remover but let her know there was no obligation to use it if she didn't like it. I don't know how often she uses it to be honest.

That said, it's not bad. I expected this to be a cream but it's silky and thick and not what I expected, but that's not a bad thing. It works really well for my skin type and doesn't feel heavy or like it's leaving soapy residue on my skin. I only wear light makeup but it removed it really well which surprised me. Again, I'm a big fan of this range and I really like how it's full of simple products that don't break me out and actually clean my skin.

As a beauty therapist its hard to find a store brought product that gently cleansers without drying skin out! And with an added extra of makeup remover, this cleanser ticks all the boxes. The cleanser can be used around the eyes without any stinging at all, especially for people like me who wear heavy eye makeup, not looking like a panda when I step out of the shower is fantastic!
