Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash

I have a really oily T zone so I decided to try this product but when I used this face wash, I felt as if it did nothing much to help my acne. It only made my cheeks extremely dry as it was too harsh for it. Wouldn't buy it again

I purchased this a while ago in a moment of desperation when I was having really bad breakouts. I got it from Countdown for about $15 and used it once daily in the shower for about one week before giving up on it. I felt like it did a really good job of cleaning my skin but it was just way too harsh for my dryish and 'sometimes a bit sensitive' skin. It left my face extremely dry, a bit red and feeling quite sore. I suppose it did dry out my pimples a bit, but overall my skin was left in a much worse condition.

I used to have oily skin, and my friend recommended this to me as being a great cleanser. What I found was this was far too drying and strong for me personally. My skin went red straight afterwards and it left me feeling itchy. Would not recommend for light oily to normal skin.

After using this on my face it leaves the whole thing tight and uncomfortable. Extremely drying, that's about all it does. Contains salicylic acid, but considering you don't leave this on your face, it's not exactly very effective. I wouldn't use this again whatsoever.

this stuff is dreadful, doesn't do anything for your skin!!! Waste of money if you ask me. Made my skin even oilier for some reason!! buy another cleanser :)

I used to be a great fan of Neutrogena products. However, I find that nothing really in their entire range works for my skin.

This product in particular I had high hopes for. At the time I did have trouble skin so was really hoping this would fix it. Can't say it really did anything at all though.

It dried out my skin and reduced some redness. But I still had breakouts and acne. No different than not using this product (...but I suppose no worse either). It did remove makeup and make my skin feel somewhat clean, but really didn't help with acne at all.

I do like the packaging; it is simple and discreet. It comes in a good size package that lasts a decent while however I am not a fan of the price for a product that does not really do anything at all. It lathered nicely and was a good consistency and is not over-fragranced.

Overall, I would not use this product again simply because it does not work for my skin. It did not help my skin in anyway at all so for me it really was a waste of time and money.

This product was very drying and really made my skin feel tight.I usually have combination/oily skin but this dried it out so much that my skin actually started flaking. I don't think it smells very nice either unfortunately. I wouldn't buy it again

Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash did leave my face feeling refreshed and clean, but it didn't do anything to improve my acne at all. It smells nice and feels good but it doesn't actually work. I gave it to my sister to see if it was just my skin but she didn't notice any difference either. Sad because I usually love Neutrogena products!

This dried out pimples very well but it really reacted my my skin as it is so sensitive it needs a really good moisturiser for afterwards!

This was the first ever face wash I was introduced when I first started to grow up, And I remember that it would always dry out my skin & make it feel tight & itchy...Maybe because its oil free? I'm not sure but you deffinately need to moisturise your skin when using this, I find its quite harsh but it does dry out pimples too so if you have really oily skin I think this would be the way to go, But if not dont buy it.
