I have really oily skin. Not the type that breaks out into loads acne (thankfully) but the type that leaves little bumps and oil all over my face. Yuck. I was hoping that this would do the trick and help my bumps decrease, but it did literally nothing. The "oil-free" part didn't have any effect on my skin. I shall continue my hunt for the perfect cleanser to stop my oily skin! Any tips would be greatfully accepted!!

I used to use this face wash when i would have a shower. It took quite abit to rub all over my face. And when i dried my face with the towel iit instantly dried out my skin and felt horrible, wouldnt use again.
I purchased this when my skin was breaking out really badly, I had seen the ads on TV, and thought maybe it'd be a great product to help clear my skin. It does have Salicylic acid but not enough to actually help clear acne.
This was an ok wash, it smelled refreshing and clean, it foamed really well, but sometimes it just left me feeling a little too clean, and would often dry me out. A tiny bit goes a long way, and you will definitely need a moisturiser after use.
Tips: Hydrating moisturiser is a must.
Neutrogena's Oil Free Acne Wash is not the best cleanser, and definitely not one for sensitive or dry skin.
This product dries out any acne and so reduces acne, but in the long term this product would do more harm than good for sensitive skin. This product tends to dry out sensitive skin like mine. The scent is nothing special, though it doesn't linger too much on the skin. You do get a fair amount of cleanser for the price, so this is a very budget friendly product.
Overall, this might be a good product for oily or combination skin that can tolerate harsher treatment, ie exfoliating beads. I wouldn't buy this again, as there are many better alternatives out there.
Tips: If you do have this product, use this with an oil free moisturiser to be safe.
If you have sensitive or dry skin, it is best to avoid this product.
I have tried this product a few times. About a pea sized amount of foam on the hand. Rub into your skin and only leave on your skin for a short amount of time.
As I have sensitive skin I found this product to be very drying and burn into my skin leaving it irritated.
It does leave my skin feeling nice BUT I think it does more harm to my skin then good.
For the price I feel like I would be able to find a similar object for the same price with better results.
I got this for free in a little sample from the Neutrogena facebook page and thought it was ok. I have a normal skin type so I can use most products and found this cleansed my skin decently and it felt a little bit dry afterwards but still quite nice and smooth.
I have to confess to being a little bit of a snob with cleansers and other skin care products and I prefer the more expensive, natural ones with nicer ingredients but for a cheap. supermarket brand, this isn't bad.
Tips: Make sure you tailor your skin care to the type of skin you have so that you're not using the wrong products which can cause further damage.
I've tried tons and tons of products like this and this one just didn't stand out for me. Gave a good clean but at the end of the day it made no difference to the condition of my skin. Wouldn't re-purchase
I used this product a couple of years ago and I never saw results. I found that it cleansed my face and removed traces of makeup but it didn't combat my acne effectively. I didn't find that it dried out my skin ( I tend to have an oily t-zone) but It didn't feel soft or moisturised afterwards either.
This product was pretty intense. The first time I used this product I was surprised how stripping it was. Afterwards my skin felt incredibly dry and tight, even after using my regular moisturiser I still felt like my skin had been totally stripped. I swapped out my moisturiser for something a little more nourishing and I'd say I achieved the desired result. In saying that I do get pimple and have excess oily but do not have incredibly acne prone skin, nor do I have sensitive skin. If you have serious acne and or sensitive skin especially, I would not recommend this product, however with a decent moisturiser and for this price I think it works reasonably well.
I have tried this many times and all the times it hasn't helped my acne situation at all. I have horrible acne and even though this is affordable its just another thing that sits in the back of my cupboard. It really tightened my skin and felt yucky.
