Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner Review

This pore refining toner is great to use alongside the Neutrogena Pore refining cleanser. When applying the toner, it doesn't smell very nice, it has quiet a harsh sterile smell to it. The bottle is a decent size for the price, but I found that the lid broke off very easily which is a hassle because I can't take it away with me when I travel! Apart from these negative aspects, I really like this toner and have been using it for a few months now. I use a cotton pad to swipe a small amount all over my face. My skin feels instantly smoother, and I have noticed that my pores are now pretty much non-existent, whereas before using the Neutrogena Pore refining range..my pores were VERY noticeable, especially when wearing makeup! My skin feels so much smoother, and my makeup glides over my face so much better now. I would recommend this for those who have large pores and are looking for other alternatives for skin care.

I was never one to use toner. What's it for anyway!? It just seemed like yet another money grabbing skin care product that I don't even need. That was until I spoke to a professional recently about my skin concerns and she recommended I incorporate a toner in to my regime. So of course I took her advice and oh man I am glad I did!

I got the entire set of this brand. I got the facial wash and moisturiser to compliment this toner. I liked the fact that it refined pores because I have noticeable pores on my nose. I never knew what a toner did BUT now that I do, gosh have I been missing out! Or shall I say my skin has been missing out. I have always had dry patches and blotchy areas on my face so I had high hopes that this along with it's siblings would help me out in that department.

The bottle is quite simple and actually quite generous in size for the price I paid ($12.99). It is fuss free and gets to the point, all things I love! First I wash my face with the facial wash to remove any makeup and impurities on my face. I then come in with a twenty cent piece squirt of toner on a cotton pad. I smooth it over my face, concentrating on areas of problem like my nose, chin and forehead. After inspecting the pad I am both grossed out and pleased to see that the toner has removed any left over dirt and dead skin off my face.

After using this combination for the past 6 weeks I am over the bridge and half way to China about the results. My pores are visibly smaller and my face is fresh and most days oil free! Even though it was not my intention I have also noticed the laugh lines around my eyes are less crevice looking! I am overjoyed and can't wait to see what 3 months have in store results wise.

I've always used a toner in my daily facial routine, but the pore refining toner makes my skin feel tight and dry. It also smells like it has a lot of alcohol in it so be sure not to get it in your eyes. I feel like paying $16 for a toner from the supermarket is a bit steep where most others are closer to the $11-$13 range. I wouldn't use this again

First impressions of this toner were the unpleasant scent upon opening, it has a very strong alcohol/ chemical scent. I found the opening for the toner was a little large and too much product came out at once. I applied with a cotton pad and upon impact with my skin, I experienced a burning sensation and afterwards my skin was left feeling tight. I am unable to discuss whether the toner lived up to the promises on the packaging as I had to stop using it due to the burning sensation.

I used my points to pick up the cleanser and exfoliator from this range in the vault, and had to go out and buy the toner too to really test out the range! Overall I did quite like the products but I didn't notice any kind of change in my pore size or texture so I can't say that they did what was promised. This toner was nothing special to me, it was just a very strong, alcohol smelling toner that felt quite intense on the skin. In some ways I like that as I feel like it really cleans the skin but I also think it's probably a bit too intense and possible damaging.

I have recently started to use a number of the Neutrogena skin care products, whereas in the past I only used the handcream. This is one of the products purchased recently and although I have not noticed a difference in pore size I have found it effective as a tone albeit slightly on the strong side. I would definitely try the other Neutrogena products though.

My skin feels super clean but dry after using it that i must use moisturizer straight away. It makes my skin soft, smooth, clearer but i dont like the strong alcohol smell. Not sure if i will repurchase. Also havent noticed any change at pores size.

I really like this toner, I use it after I've cleansed my face with the neutrogena naturals makeup removing cleanser, and follow it with one of their oil free face moisturisers. For me I did notice a minimal decrease the pore sizes on and around my nose - my number one trouble spot, and that really sold it for me. It has a nice cool and refreshing feeling and I always feel like my face is super clean and healthy after using it.

I love this toner, it also has witch-hazel in it, which give it the thumbs up from me, its definitely made a difference with pore size and spots, leave my skin feeling soft and smooth, so refreshing. love it

If does have a bit of a alcoholic smell to it, and does sting if you get in on any sore spots, but it does seem to work, it comes in a bigger size compared to other bottles, and is a good price as well.

I recommend this for those with oily skin.
