I've loved the rosehip oils I've tried in the past (trilogy, essano, Glow Lab), so I was super excited to try this one out - and it didn't disappoint.
The box is pink and quite tourist-shop-esque, but the actual bottle is very lovely. It is a matte frosted glass, with a dropper style lid. The oil itself is a clear yellow, and smells just like any other rosehip oil, even though it does also contain acai and evening primrose.
I found the 2-3 drops suggested to be the perfect amount, as a little sis go a long way. Just drop into your fingers, and then smooth over your face. It's really smooth to apply, and feels instantly hydrating. After a minute or two it has sunk in, and doesn't feel greasy. I personally don't like applying oils before makeup, so I use this just at night, but if you have super dry skin it could be helpful for priming a smooth base.
I've really enjoyed this, and my dry winter skin has been feeling much happier and hydrated since using it. I'd is definitely recommend to others, as it compares perfectly to the other rosehip oils I've tried, and they're an amazing addition to a skincare routine.
The packaging is quite nice - it's not as tourist-shop as other Alpine Silk products I've seen.
I think the fragrance is a little...potent. It's very strong, but thankfully does wear off after application.
I used around 5-6 drops for my whole face and neck, using after cleansing and before moisturising. Its a smooth thick oil, perfect for dry skin like mine.
I think this works as well as any high end rosehip oil, I've tried a few now, and this definitely stands tall among them.
My skin is soft and even in tone. I would buy again and recommend - although I'm still waiting to see a reduction in my wrinkles!
