My immediate impression once I opened the tube was the smell, quite overpowering and unfortunate that it upset my senses. I can only describe it as a strong floral toned scent as I can not distinguish the exact notes but it is distinctly Nivea. So I tried it in hopes that the smell would not be an issue. I applied a small amount to my hands and massaged in, it felt silky and like it would really help my skin but after rubbing it in, my hands felt slimy and not moisturised much at all. My skin still felt dry and after about 15mins I needed to wash the residue off my hands.
I tried again on a second occasion and lasted even less distance before it was again washed off. I know others that love this product but it is not for me and has since been rehomed.
we have at mum and dads nice feeling but a little greasy I put on my face some times when I am there on my lines and wrinkles lasts nicely although it did not absorb that quickly I like to steer away from products with petrolium in them now such as vasseline as it is derived from petrol which cannot be good for skin in the long run however people have been using it for years and swear by it. You do not need heaps of product so a little goes a long way and the packaging is simple and easy to use makes nice soft hands
I was lucky enough to receive the Nivea intensive cream plus many extras as part of a Nivea pamper package I won.
My hands are always dry especially after I wash dishes, and I hate to wear dish gloves but get left with dry irritated hands especially around my wrists, they get extremely sensitive. I normally use hand lotion after washing dishes but switched my normal hand cream with the Nivea intensive hand cream. It comes in a easy to squeeze bottle and a small amount is enough to coat your hands. It rubs into your skin extremely easy and gives it a soft scented moisturized finish. I have been using this hand cream for just over a month after each time I wash my dishes and I have noticed a significant difference in my hands and nails just from changing my hand cream. My hands feel soft and a lot smoother than they used to be. I have about a third of cream left and I use it at least 3 times a day.
It is now part of my dish washing after care ritual, I will not be changing back to my old hand cream anytime soon.
Tips: Keep one in your kitchen and use this after washing your dishes, it makes a huge difference in your hands and nails.
My hands get extremely dry and cracked when its winter and especially during an ordinary working day. Typing all day and rumaging my way through clients stacks of papers do not do wonders for my hands, so hand lotion is a top priority in the handbag.
I picked this lotion up at the warehouse for $3 as I had run out of hand lotion and liked the sound of long-lasting moisture. Ive been using it everyday for about 6 weeks.
Firstly I love the affordability of Nivea products and this lotion is no exception. I love the quality of Nivea products because it is definitely compatible with high end products. This lotion is thick, silky, very creamy and has a divine scent.
You only need a pea size amount for both hands and the lotion distributes quickly and is easily absorbed. I enjoy that when I apply the lotion, my hands are immediately relieved from the dry sting they often get, and my skin is just left silky smooth.
My cuticles also seem to be much healthier and my natural nail is much more shiny. Overall the condition of my hands seemed to have improved alot since using this lotion.
Sadly, my hands only remains silky smooth for a short time and then my hands are back to stinging from being dry. My moisture this lotion provides straight off the bat doesnt linger around and somehow just vanishes without me noticing! In my books this lotion doesnt provide a long-lasting care to hands which it claims and it is sad because the consistency has all the makings of a fantastic hand cream.
When I finish the tube I will not be re-purchasing another tube because my hands needs a lotion that's a bit more industrious for my ridiculously dry, cracked sandpaper hands!
Tips: I rub this into my cracked heels (only because Im at work and dont have my bathroom in my handbag) and it does a quick fix up on dry feet.
As winter was coming up and that nasty flu season too, my work decided to give us all a little well being pack of tissues, hand sanitizer, throaties and also NIVEA Intensive Nourishing Hand Cream.
First impressions - the bottle was subtle and a decent size. The smell was what you'd expect from a hand-cream, just like all the others.
I put some in my hand and immediately my skin was so much softer, but it took a very long time for my hand not to be all greasy and wet from the cream.
My hands were hot and greasy for the next hour or so, and my computer mouse did not enjoy it I suspect!
Being free - I appreciated it. But in the long run, this cream is sitting at my desk, almost completely full, and has never been used since. I've only kept it for emergencies.
