There are 2 things that I look for in any product; 1. Is the product tested on animals 2. Does this have active ingredients or vitamins.
1. I could not determine either way if Nivea is tested on animals. Their parent company Beirsdorf says it does not test which is excellent but I could not confirm this through PETA
2. Yes it has vitamin E
To be fair I use Dermalogica exclusively at home so it takes a lot to impress me! I did like this product and if I could confirm it is cruelty free I would consider buying as part of my travel kit.
The moisturizer smells beautiful, it's a very soft smell but it's beautiful and the perfume did not irritate my skin which can be easily irritated. I actually found myself looking forward to using the cream.
The product itself is rich and creamy, it has a nice texture and after a few mins goes completly matt which makes it great for using under makeup.
I found the cream hydrating and it did keep my skin supple which helped with fine lines.
I loved this moistureriser, and will continue to use my review copy. I will more than likely purchase as well, although I would keep an eye out for one with SPF in it. The cream left my skin hydrated all day, but was not greasy at all. It was the perfect balance of not too light and not too greasy. For my skin, it was just lovely.
