I've been putting off this review for a while trying to change my opinion on this lip balm. But alas, the truth cannot be changed. This felt weird and not balmy enough on my lips. It was moire oil than wax, leaving a shiny layer on my lips. This is like the polar opposite to how EOS lip balms feel in terms of texture. It rubbed off too easily and I had to reapply really often. The color of the balm is actually alright, a sheer red that looks very cute and natural. The smell is the kind of fake paracetamol strawberry that I just didn't like. Would not buy again sadly. This is the only nivea lipbalm that's turned out so useless which is somewhat disappointing.

I think this is a great, handy product. It's an inexpensive lip gloss, usually easy to buy almost anywhere, leaves your lips moisturised and just a little bit more colourful. There is a slightly darker berry colour they also do I think, that I really like too, maybe a bit more, but it's harder to find. I only have this strawberry one at the moment. I use it mostly in summer, it tends not to get a lot of use in winter, as I'm not out and about so much and usually go for colour free ones.
Tips: I keep almost all my lip glosses in the fridge. I just like them cool and figure they will last longer. Also, I can always find one now lol! Give it a try :)
This is an awesome lipbalm, just basic but oh so good!
Love the hydration it gives to my dry lips and always have one on hand. I love the hint of a colour it gives and it's just always great to pop in my bag,
I have repurchased this so many times. Just a staple in my makeup bag. A fantastic product
I have very dry, sensitive lips, so need something super hydrating. This works really well at the moment, although I may need something more hydrating for the middle of winter. The smell and taste are very nice. The tint is very sheer, so I find I can apply it without needing a mirror, and it still looks fine.
It's great for just a hint of colour on weekends and days working from home. I also have the Watermelon one, which is similar in terms of pigmentation, and the Blackberry, which is a lot more pigmented, more like a sheer lipstick.
I think everyone likes the strawberry lip care. Works very well smells great and unfortunately it tastes ok too. Just ask my kid who once ate mine.
Love the smell of this product. It is super hydrating and a little but goes a long way. There actually is some colour to this product so you have to be careful when applying and not use too much. This is an every day product for me.
Very sweet scent, very enjoyable to wear on the lip would recommend to pair it with a more long lasting lip balm only bc it can dry out quite quickly on the lips
Like the reviewer below me, I too started using the Strawberry Nivea Lip Balm as a pre-teen and loved it, but the formula has drastically changed since then, and I no longer love it like I used too. The packaging is very basic and simplistic, and looks quite cheap; it reminds me of a store brand lip balm. The lip balm had a sweet strawberry scent when I purchased it but now that it is a few months old the smell has deteriorated and it smells more like Playdough. The lip balm moisturizes and hydrates my lips well. It leaves a subtle hint of colour on my lips with a gold shimmer which looks nice. The lip balm has no taste to it. The lip balm is quite affordable, and I would purchase it again, if I was running low on cash. However, this isn't amazing, and I'd rather purchase a nicer lip balm with my money.
This is a lovely lip balm for no makeup days, or no lipstick days. It gives a subtle red tint to the lips, making them look healthier and more vibrant, but still 100% fresh and natural. This is perfect for when I don't have lipstick on, but still want a little something. After an hour, it simply fades away, it doesn't go patchy or leave a line of residue.
I do not reach for this product when I want hydration. No, it doesn't dry out the lips, but it doesn't really hydrate them either. It is certainly not a treatment, or for those needing a boost of moisture. Therefore, I purely use it when I am wanting a tint, or hint, of colour.
The packaging is standard $5.99 Nivea. Nothing special, nothing fancy, and the lid will probably fall of in your handbag. But what more can be expected for the price? If you are wanting something incredibly subtle for a no makeup or no lipstick day, this is perfect. It would also be great for a teen or pre-teen who is wanting to wear lipstick, as it does give a tiny tint without actually being makeup.
Tips: Great for a teen or pre-teen who is begging for a lipstick, or no makeup/no lipstick days for yourself.
The NIVEA Strawberry Lip Care and I have a long and complex history together! I initially started using this product during high school, and I loved the shimmery red tones which it would subtly add to your lips. It was super moisturising and generally amazing. However, I suspect that sometime between then and now the formula has been changed, and I definitely don't like this product as much as I used to.
It comes in a cute wee tube, which I definitely prefer over pots because they feel more hygienic somehow and are less messy to apply. The lip product applies smoothly and easily, with a lovely strawberry scent and a subtle gloss. The ingredients are awesome, and I love knowing I'm protecting my lips from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
However, while this product used to make your lips significantly redder, it now only gives them a gloss with very little colour. Although it feels moisturising upon application, I found this doesn't really last long and has me reaching for it again not too long afterwards. Not a huge fan, and probably won't go out of my way to repurchase.
