Didn't feel like it really did much for my dry lips and didn't like the colour it left. Pretty average product. Will stick to blistex. Will not repurchase again.

NIVEA Lip Care Strawberry Shine Review

I would say this is a “first” lip balm. The one you buy when you’re just starting to use lip balm. The strawberry smell is very strong, sweet and fake. It’s hydrating alto begin with and then it leaves your lips drier than before you used it.
I was a long term user of this product - until recently. I found that it made my lips very sensitive, and the more I used it, the more I needed to use it. As a result, my lips ended up very red, sore, and burnt. It took several days of using an alternative, natural product for them to heal.
Tips: Not recommended for extended use.
I usually use this product when Ive ran out of my other lip balms, its usually the last resort as Im not a big fan of the product. Smells amazing and is so smooth to apply, I aint a fan of the sticky texture it does leave on your lips though, and the colour is abit tacky for my liking, but all in all does the job.
I had been convinced to buy it as I had previously bought Nivea lip balms and its okay, though the tint looks horrible on my lips. It looks like I had some spaghetti and there was still sauce on my lips. It’s pretty average as a lip balm but nothing amazing.
I really like Nivea products but not this one, it smells nice and it does apply easily leaving a coating on your lips but it didn’t leave my lips feeling hydrated or moisturised.
This product provides a nice shiny balm with a little tone to it, but it doesn’t help repair chapped lips like I was expecting and isn’t long lasting like other balms.
This lip balm smells good, isn't sticky, applies nice and smoothe, makes your lips look glossy with a subtle tint and is pretty cheap, however like with most chapstick/lip balms, it actually dries my lips out. Initially it's really nice, but at the end of the day, I have really dry lips that start peeling so I only use this lip balm once in a while, and I never apply regularly throughout the day as I end up with built up patches that look kind of gross
This is a lovely lip balm for no makeup days, or no lipstick days. It gives a subtle red tint to the lips, making them look healthier and more vibrant, but still 100% fresh and natural. This is perfect for when I don't have lipstick on, but still want a little something. After an hour, it simply fades away, it doesn't go patchy or leave a line of residue.
I do not reach for this product when I want hydration. No, it doesn't dry out the lips, but it doesn't really hydrate them either. It is certainly not a treatment, or for those needing a boost of moisture. Therefore, I purely use it when I am wanting a tint, or hint, of colour.
The packaging is standard $5.99 Nivea. Nothing special, nothing fancy, and the lid will probably fall of in your handbag. But what more can be expected for the price? If you are wanting something incredibly subtle for a no makeup or no lipstick day, this is perfect. It would also be great for a teen or pre-teen who is wanting to wear lipstick, as it does give a tiny tint without actually being makeup.
Tips: Great for a teen or pre-teen who is begging for a lipstick, or no makeup/no lipstick days for yourself.
It's what it is.
This product comes in a 4.8g white tube with a red lid. Pop the top lid off and twist the white bottom and up pops the product :)
Upon application I expected it to absorb into my lips as most hydrating, moistursing lip balms do. This didn't deliver :( it glided on and basically sat on top of the lip giving a nice glossy shine. Wipes off really easily and needed to be applied several times throughout the day.
Benefits of this product?! The scent! Omg yummy. Almost like you could just eat it! A sweet strawberry smell lingers while on your lips. It also leaves your lips with a subtle red tinge that looks rather natural.
I won't be grabbing this product when my lips need the care of a moistursing balm. For a wee bit of gloss to my lips I will :)
