This has always protected me from the sun (aka no sunburn) but it isn't the most comfortable to wear compared to other sunscreens I have tried. This lotion is quite thick and takes a lot longer to sink into the skin that other lotions I have used. Because of this it leaves you looking quite greasy and sticky feeling for longer than other sunscreens (as I know all sunscreens should be given a while to soak in before going out into the sun). There are more affordable better performing sunscreens than this one but it's ok for a standard sunscreen as it still does the job. Not something I would repurchase or recommend though.

As a brand, I really like Nivea, so last year, when the warmer months started approaching, I quickly purchased this product.
I really like the packaging of the product, more for convenience than anything else. The pacaking is blue, and yellow. With simple but clear text, which is effective, and tells you all the information that you need to know. This product has a smoth shape, and is easy to hold, even with slippery sunscreened hands. The plastic is easy to squeeze and so the product is easily released. The product uses a flip cap for release of the product, and this cap is supsrisingly effective, and has not leaked a single drop of sunscreen. So far, so good. The product has the sunscreen smell, and I actually quite like it. It reminds me of summer! The sunscreen is thick, glossy and white. When rubbing into you skin, the sunscreen has quite a thinned down appearance and easily rubbed in, leaving no white marks or streaks. It does leave a residue however, and the residue is slightly greasy, and it can be seen aswell as felt, and has a slightly sticky feel to it. I have to say, I don’t really like this. Especially in the warmer months when you can get a little sweaty, its just a recipe for a mess!
This is a product I have repurchased, and it used to be my staple sunscreen. Now however, this is a product I leave in my car or at work to ensure if I forget to sunscreen at home, I have a back up option available. And this is exactly how I would describe this product, as a back up. It does the job, but it is no where near my favourite sunscreen
I use this as both my moisturiser and SPF all over my body if I know I'm spending a long day outside. Of course you will have to reapply after swimming, but it is still good to know I have a high level of protection to start the day.
The coconut smell is what I especially love! I've never been bothered by the classic chemical scent of traditional sunblock, but the coconutty freshness is so summery and pleasant.
A great 50+ sunscreen for the whole family. Definitely protects and does the job. The smell is good. And you get lots of product for the money.
I love everything about this sunscreen from the way it effortlessly glides on to the smell that smells so distinctly like summer. The affordability is really the cherry on top for this sunscreen as its one of the cheapest quality susncreens on the market. My skin isnt to sensitive so I don't know how well it works with sensitive skin. I dont use this prouct on my face as I am acne prone and tend to use facial sunscreens.
Tips: Use a different sunscreen on your face if your acne prone
It's an effective sunscreen. I've never gotten burnt while using it. It also doesn't irritate my skin. The only thing is, I'm not a fan of the scent! It's strong and to me It's a bit masculine. Definitely would prefer a softer scent. But if that doesn't bother you it's a good, effective sunscreen.
This has become a staple in our household. We always have a large bottle of it around as they are cheaper to buy at the supermarket than the smaller amounts, and we use a lot of it. Using sunscreen is very important, and I find that I only do it regularly if I have a sunscreen that I like, and that is good value for money so that I don’t even think about how much I use. Even though the NIVEA protect & moisture sunscreen we use is 50+ it does not feel as greasy as any of the high SPF sunscreens I remember from my childhood. I think sunscreens have come a long way in that regard! Given how many sunscreens have failed in consumer testing in recent years, I only ever use sunscreens from brands that I trust, and NIVEA is definitely trustworthy in this regard. This sunscreen has UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum Protection to cover all bases, and it says it is 4 hours water resistant. While I cannot be sure about the 4 hours, I have definitely noticed that it still works after a swim. With some sunscreens I have noticed that they cause stains on my white clothes, but this does not seem to be the case with this product.
