At first glance this looks like any other moisturiser - a smooth white cream. The scent is cute like a mild granny smith apple. I thought it may be too light for my very dry skin so wasn't expecting anything amazing. When I first rubbed it on it was as light as I thought but I was then surprised that my skin felt soft and smooth. The feeling persisted well into the day. Although I can't speak for the long term effects of Apple A Day, having not yet used it long enough, I would certainly recommend it based on my experience with it so far.

Oasis Beauty Apple a Day SPF25 Review
Apple a Day is just what the doctor ordered. Packed with anti-ageing vitamins plus active naturals to brighten and hydrate with an added bonus of non-whitening SPF30 to keep your skin protected. Don’t be confused the packaging might say SPF 25 but it came out of testing much higher than anticipated! You also get the bonus of PA +++ which protects you from premature ageing and skin cancer.

Tips: I've been using it after washing my skin in my morning shower then toning, before leaving the house for the day.
I have very fair sensitive skin prone to being on the dry side with eczema and breaking out with some products particularly heavy products. A lightweight moisturiser that I applied morning and night after removing my make up (or first thing in the morning) after cleansing my face. It glides on smoothly and nicely, absorbed quickly & wasn’t to heavy or greasy which was great. This moisturiser has a wonderful fresh apple fruity smell but not to sickly or overbearing. My foundation has SPF in it aswell so I didn’t really get to test out the SPF side of it but fabulous that this has an SPF25 in it for those weekends you don’t want to have to put a face on !. It definitely brightened my skin up , it was feeling a bit sad and dull over these winter months thanks to air conditioning in the office and then blasting my heater on the way home in the car !! . This is one of my favourite product finds thanks to seeing it here on the Beauty Review site (well actually the Oasis brand)!. Probably a little on the higher end for moisturisers but I think it is definitely worth it for the benefits. I would definitely encourage my friends to try this.
I started using this because it was lying around and I needed a moisturiser with SPF in it coming into the warmer months! I like the smell and it applies nicely, however I have found that I sometimes get a bit shiny through days that I wear this. Mattifying powder fixes this though, and its not bad enough to stop me from wearing it!
So I've read all the hypes on Beauty review about Oasis. What I enjoy about Oasis is that their a New Zealand based company who gives back to the community. I enjoy supporting companies that make a difference within New Zealand. Their product range has natural based ingredients in them. At the time I got a few samples sent to me when they had a free sample bag online. I also received more samples from a friend. I'm glad I got to try them before committing to full sized products.
I can't comment about the packaging as I had sample pots. The colour of this moisturiser was white. It had a slight apple scent to it with a dough type scent. The consistency wasn't to thick or thin. Looks like your normal moisturiser. Before I apply my moisturiser I like to prepare my skin by cleansing and toning before hand. I normally apply a small sized amount of this moisturiser for day time use. I got a few applications out of two pots.
After using it I noticed my skin was hydrated. My dry patches are normally on my cheeks and nose. My oily patches are normally on my chin and forehead. This did protect me from the sun in summer. I didn't get any sunburn with it on. I wasn't fond on the scent of this moisturiser. I smelled weird to me. Other than that it is a good moisturiser if your looking for hydration and protection for your skin. I think trying a sample would be ideal before investing in this. I think can still get samples but you need to request them in store. I'm planning on getting a couple more samples soon to try them out and then make an order after I've decided if I like it or not.
Love Apple a day, it is a lovely texture and works well. I like the Oasis brand and the story behind it. Plus love NZ made!!!
I was super lucky to pick this up in the BR Vault Dec '15. I'd heard great things and was keen to try it but it was a bit pricey for a maybe, so this was the perfect chance. This is my first full sized Oasis product!
Oasis Beauty Apple a Day SPF25 Skin Brightening Moisturiser for sensitive skin comes in a 50 ml pump bottle simply and beautifully labelled in a mix of white and apple green, which darker green writing. The pump is a bit tricky, I kinda need 1.5 pumps so end up with two, so use the extra on my neck and ears.
The product is quite a thick white cream with a distinct, fresh, pleasant apple scent. It spreads well, but tends to sit on my skin and feel a little tacky until it absorbs. This feeling only lasts a moment and once it's properly on/in my skin feels great.
It definitely has skin brightening properties, making my face look quite alive in the morning. The apple scent is invigorating, and the effect that this has on my skin is awesome. The SPF 25 is more than enough to protect my face, especially once I add makeup, and i haven't burned once since i began using this on my face, which is awesome. I spend a lot of time outside in summer so face SPF is essential.
I love this product but where i hesitate is the price. I have used SPF face lotions that are almost as good for 1/4 of the price so unsure right now if I can justify the $40 - but I do like it, a lot, and could be swayed if Oasis have promotions on!
Tips: Oasis often run free samples - go to their website above and type 'samples' in the search bar. You can usually choose three products; i would recommend this one, a BB cream and either the milk cleanser or the berry toner, myself! :)
I grabbed this in the Vault as wanted to give a full size Oasis product a go.
I'm still going on this bottle with using it daily since receiving it, so maybe 6 -8 weeks now! I'm quite surprised at how long the tube is lasting, it doesn't look like much... but 2 pumps daily is actually going well!
I still feel it's a little expensive though for something that's not overly special but then again I'm a drug store girl.
Apple a day actually has a faint stewed apple smell which I personally love! It's not too strong and the smell goes pretty much as the cream absorbs.
It does absorb well, fairly quickly so great under make up. It's also a great consistency, runny but not too much, light weight and smooth.
I don't feel it did much for anti -aging but then using it for longer would show better results for this.
It has kept my skin nicely hydrated.
All in all it's a lovely moisturiser & sunscreen but for the price that it is I wouldn't purchase it to be honest.
I received a small sample pot of Oasis Beauty Apple A Day SPF25 facial moisturiser in the Oasis Beauty Goodiebag that I ordered. I wasn't expecting much from this moisturiser as I have naturally oily skin and Apple A Day is aimed at more dry to combination skin, but it surprised me. It moisturises really well without feeling greasy and the added SPF is a bonus!
I can't really comment on the full sized packaging, as I only received a sample pot but the label does state that its SPF25 and I always prefer my daily moisturiser to contain an SPF. Looking at their website, I was surprised to see that Apple A Day actually has a much higher SPF than what is on the label. This is what it says on Oasis Beauty's website: "Apple a Day is just what the doctor ordered. Packed with anti-ageing vitamins plus active naturals to brighten and hydrate with an added bonus of non-whitening SPF30 to keep your skin protected. Don’t be confused, the packaging might say SPF 25 but it came out of testing much higher than we anticipated! You also get the bonus of PA +++ which protects you from premature ageing and skin cancer."
The white cream has a thick consistency and a lightweight texture that is easily absorbed into the skin and leaves no white sunscreen residue or greasy feeling. The best part, it has this really fresh, crisp green apple scent. It smells exactly like Granny Smith apples!
As for the brightening properties, well, I can't really see a difference in brightness over the two weeks that I used the sample pot for.
Would I purchase a full sized tube of Oasis Beauty Apple A Day? Probably not. It's not a bad moisturiser, so this answer is not based on the product, I just prefer Oasis Beauty Knock-Out Moisturiser for my oily skin.
Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes, definitely if they have dry to combination skin.
Tips: Use one of Oasis Beauty's serums under Apple A Day for an added moisture boost.
I recieved a small sample of this moisturiser when ordering another Oasis beauty product. Knowing how amazing their other natural beauy products are I was expecting big things from this little pot.
Th first thing you notice is the smell, its strong of sweet granny smith apples. For me this was great, but fi youre not an apple fan then this isnt for you. The consistence is great, its smooth and spreads fairly well for day-time usage. I felt it absorbed fairly well into my skin, but did leave a slight sheen on my skin for a short time after. I fet my skin was well hydrated while using this, and overall did a pretty good job.
Overall, I would consider buying this product again if purchasing others from Oasis, but this didnt have enough of a wow factor for it to be my go-to moisturizer.
I purchased this when it was on sale on Oasis Beauty for only $5 so it was definitely a bargain if it turned out I didn't like it. Which I did!
I love the scent, like freshly cut apple slices but it's not to overwhelming like a lot of moisturizers can be. I use this every morning and only lightly rub in leaving most of it to naturally sink into the skin on it's on.
I'm not in the sun everyday so having SPF is a must and apple a day provides that without the yuck greasy feel! My skin is noticeably brighter (without looking shiny) and just overall healthy looking.
I get really bad normal acne on my chin around that time of the month and I don't find this to help at all with that so I will need to try something else like the Knock-out moisturizer for when that happens.
If you have really bad acne all over your face then I wouldn't recommend this but you want to have brighter more radiant skin then I definitely would. I love the benefits apple a day has, it makes me feel so good about using it and I know my skin will thank me in the future.
It's great that it has a pump, sooo much easier and more efficient to use.
Overall I'm glad I took the risk and tried something new. My skin looks so much more healthy than what it was before but I think I'll try Knock-out next because of my monthly chin area. I'm only 18 so I can't comment on the anti-aging but I like that it was there so hopefully my skin benefited in some way.
.. I have oily, dull, acne-prone skin. Hope this review helps :)
Tips: Ask for a sample to test out first before committing to a full size bottle! :)
