My mum first purchased this for me to try on some scars I had that I used to be very self conscious about and I've purchased it a couple of times since. Although I didn't notice a huge change it the appearance of my scars for a while, I did notice my skin becoming a lot softer and dry patches of skin seemed to dissipate. After around six months I noticed that the less prominent scars had pretty much completely faded to the point I could only see them when my skin was red from heat and all the dry patches had vanished. The scent of this product isn't by any means amazing and it does leave a greasy layer on your skin for a bit but if you persevere with use I feel it can be beneficial :)

Tips: I found other uses for this product such as applying a small amount to my hair when it was really dry and putting a few drops in a bath to add goodness to your skin
I used this in the summer after sunburn and it took the heat out, it is very oily on application (but it IS oil after all) and I wasn't bothered as I use body butters too. I mainly used it as a night face moisturiser (use a tiny amount) and still do when I remember, I would always have a bottle in the cupboard.
Tips: If you don't like oily skin? Don't buy it. it's OIL!
this product really didnt meet my expectations, it didnt get rid of anything, just made me feel like i was bathing in oil it wasnt nice
Tips: dont waste your money, its all in the ads
Really, Bio-oil? I really, REALLY hate putting oil on myself purposefully in the name of beauty (and its product claims), but with its claims of making stretch marks appearance better, I practically bathed in it. Didn't do anything, made me feel like I was a oil slick. If this came in a cream, I'd be all up on it. Oil? Never again.
Did nothing for me. I got one of the big bottles. Had high hopes; only to be disappointed. Didn't even make my stretch marks seem less prominent after finishing the whole bottle. Basically paid a lot of money for a lot of nothing. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.
Tips: Find something else. Or realise stretchmarks from pregnancy are a gift from your kids <3
I love bio oil! I first started using it when I was pregnant with my daughter to prevent stretchmark’s. It was amazing. It can feel a bit oily but I did not get any stretchmark’s. It was also amazing as an evening facial moisturizer. Yes sounds so weird but it leaves your skin feeling so smooth in the morning and evens out blemishes and fine lines. I also used it after my c-section after my son. My scar is practically gone and I scar terribly. It is a great regenerating product!
Tips: only use a very little bit on the tip of your fingers when putting it on your face. also great to add to your bath for a all over repair.
I have been using bio oil for a few months now and the majority of my scars/ stretch marks have faded. I also use it on my face and hands when they are really dry and it does a really good job to give my skin that intense boost then back to the moisturiser I go. Don't like the smell much but because it works so well I can handle that
I was so sadly disappointed with this oil. I had a lot of stretch marks from my younger years which I used bio oil on for months with no results. It has really only been time that has healed them for me. Now I have a ton more high on my belly from my pregnancy but I wont be reaching for the Bio oil. I didn't really enjoy the application of the oil. It was overly greasy and did not feel like it ever really absorbed fully which made my clothes stick to it & made me feel quite gross. It was more suited to a massage oil in my opinion or a bath oil but with the price tag it carries you can find cheaper options which will work just as well. It has made me wonder why you never see before & after photos with the Bio Oil advertising...
Tips: Don't buy into the hype that this product has created without getting a smaller bottler or sample & trying it first.
Also bare in mind that some people are more prone to stretch marks regardless of what you do to try & prevent them - of at least this is what my midwife told me.
This product is a South African-made staple, and has made a lot of noise over the past few years as a go-to product for reducing stretch-marks and wrinkles. I've used this product on several occasions and more often than not, I have a bottle in my medicine cabinet. Personally, I LOVE the scent and it's a great addition to the bath in winter for keeping skin soft and smooth. As a wrinkle, scar and stretch-mark remover, I am less inclined to say it works that well. I have not seen any reduction in my own scars (I have 2 bad scars on my knee from a child-hood accident), but perhaps for pregnancy stretch-marks it may be better?
This is a good product it is better than baby oil as it does not leave the skin dry after washing it off, also does not leave an oily feeling after putting it on. although i must say that you tend to burn easily when out in the sun with using this product
