Olay Luminous Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Super Serum

Olay Luminous Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Super Face Serum has a deeply hydrating formula enriched with Hyaluronic Acid and 99% Pure Niacinamide. It claims to penetrate 10 surface layers of the epidermis, is easily absorbed to intensely hydrate the skin for visibly smoother and more radiant skin in only 28 days. It says it's suitable for dehydrated skin and that it's formulated without nasties, meaning that is has no parabens, sulphates, phthalates, petrolatum or mineral oils.

When you twist open the lid, a button on top pops up, which is the dropper sucking up the first drop, ready for you to dispense it onto your palm. It only draws up a single drop of the serum each time, so there's no wastage, although I found the second drop never ever pulled up as much a the first. I'd either end up with one and a half drops, one and a quarter drops, or one and three quarter drops, but it works.

The serum has a lovely, light citrus scent that doesn't linger and the thin liquid is quickly absorbed into the skin with minimal massage, leaving a nice glow even after moisturiser has been applied. It goes on well under makeup and is lightweight and super hydrating. I'm 43 and have naturally oily skin, and left my skin so dewy without any extra greasiness. Even though the serum is recommended for dry skin, don't let that scare you, it's absorbed instantly, even on oily skin, and doesn't leave a heavy film. My skin feels softer, hydrated, looks brighter and is less oily.

My only complaint is with the packaging. The directions say to use two drops of product for your face and neck, but unfortunately, refilling the dropper isn't as easy as it should be. I know it's a minor complaint but I found it really frustrating, as I never got a consistent amount every night, and it's impossible to see how much product is left in the bottle.

Other than that, it's the best serum that I've ever used (and I've used many), and I'd definitely recommend it for all skin types. I'll be purchasing more!

Love the consistency of this, even more love that the bottle is a self filling one for the applicator, which makes it so easy to apply to your skin with little effort needed. Just a couple drops is enough to cover over your whole face. Has no strong scent to it but leaves the skin looking so dewy and hydrated. Jar is a decent size and looks so pretty, and with the amount you need it should last a great length of time so has great value for money. I have noticed over the last couple weeks I have been using this that my face does seem to look at alot my healthy and hydrated. Dark spots do look like they may of faded a little as well so will continue to use this product to see how much more it can improve my skin. Also have found is great under make up for that extra glowy skin and makes application of make up go on so nicely. Great to pair with the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Night Cream as well!

And the pump is designed cleverly because it gave the exact amount for my face without wasting any of the precious serum. # The Formula: Nicinamide(vitamin B3). Hyaluronic/ Pro-vit B5/ Vitamin E # The serum: it has “Aqua” light blue colour. It absorbed very fast on my face and left a pleasant Aqua smell. My skin felt deeply hydrated. The light weight serum really absorbing quickly without any sticky feeling. What a nice serum and I love using it every day. My skin looked dewy glow as advertised and my skin was ready for moisturiser followed by foundation as my every day routine.

Lovely product - very hydrating and with super star ingredients! I love the way my skin just drinks this up. Very light, not sticky at all, but super hydrating. It contains Niacinamide which is a skin saviour. Hyaluronic acid is super hydrating and is naturally produced by our bodies. So it is not surprising that these super ingredients form part of this lovely super serum. I am using this together with Olay Regenerist Night Cream. It is a power duo and my skin feels very hydrated and nourished but not sticky at all after using these products together. The serum is milky and does not smell like much. It is very lightly fragranced - almost fragrance free. The dropper bottle works well. I will definitely repurchase and would be happy to recommend to others. Once again, not sure that Olay really lives up to their promise of not doing any animal testing. Apart from that - yes, I love it!

Thanks for the opportunity to trial this serum . It has a very liquidy consistency and is easily absorbed into the skin. It does come in a glass container which while it looks nice isn’t great for traveling. Once I opened it I couldn’t get the lid to close completely so I’m hoping mine was just faulty. Each time you close it , it automatically refills the dropper. It dispenses enough to cover the face and neck which is great. It does have a light fragrance but nothing overwhelming and it dissipates as soon as it’s on the skin. I do think it is a little pricey for a brand that’s available at the supermarket as it’s retailed at $60 but if it was on special I would consider buying it again. My skin does look very glowy and I’ve noticed a reduction of dark spots on my chest (I’ve been applying it there too). I have noticed that I’ve been breaking out more than usual on my chin and it’s always at the end of the day after wearing the serum. I can be acne prone though so can’t really say for sure if it’s the serum. I would recommend this to someone looking for a one and done serum and possibly someone with drier skin.

I really liked that this product combined both Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide - two products I currently use seperately - therefore having the potential to replace two steps in my current skincare routine. I stopped using these products when I received this so I could really give it a true and fair review.

The packaging of this product is super nice, a pearl glass bottle with a dropper style lid which I like as its easy to get the correct amount of product. I usually went for two pumps per night which covered my face with some left to rub down my neck/chest. Only negative is you cant see how much is left, so you'll likely run out when you don't expect it.

After almost a month my skin looks plump, hydrated and glowy. I would be interested in knowing how much Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide is contained in this product, it doesn't seem to say, but this would be crucial in deciding if I replace my other products with this one.

It does have a slight fragrance - I don't really know how to describe it apart from fresh?! but I didn't mind it, nor did it cause me any irritation.

It is on the more expensive side for Olay, which I guess is reflected in the more luxe packaging. Depending on what products you currently use, it may be more affordable to use this over separate hyaluronic acid and niacinamide serums.

I loved this product, and will be buying again. It has an easy to use dropper, I only used 1 pump of serum morning and night which seemed ample, despite the instructions specifying 2. There's about 1/3rd of the product left after a month of twice daily application, so I expect it would last around 6 weeks. The texture is really lovely, it feels very quenching, instantly absorbed into the skin, and no hint of greasiness. I was a little concerned with the "luminous" description, having fallen in previously with a luminous primer that gave my skin a silvery sheen - not a great look on a 52 year old! This serum did not do that at all, all it did was provide a dewy youthful look. My mum actually asked me what I was doing to make my skin look so good!

Absorbed well, went on smooth and wasn’t to heavy. The drop applicator that automatically draws out the correct amount of serum is a great idea and is easy to use. I like the style of the bottle it’s very sleek and modern. I really enjoyed this product and noticed that my skin tone was more even but hadn’t noticed a visible difference with dark spots, can’t wait to continue using this and seeing further results.

The packaging was a bit confusing, I ended up watching a YouTube video before I realised I could take the entire cap off and the pump button worked the dropper. Probably an unnecessary way to dispense product. The bottle is a pretty pearl, you can't see product level through it.

The serum is faintly floral, I find the smell pleasant. It absorbs well into clean skin with a light moisturised feeling. The couple recommended pumps does go a long way.

I have definitely noticed my dark spots lightening, the edges around the spots have softened out so the spots are not as obvious. I'm impressed with the results so far in a short period of time.

The one time I wish I took before and during photos and I didn’t! I’m loving this trial, this little bottle of magic looks cool with its shimmery bottle it has a twist that you twist and pump twice and that’s all you need to apply to your face and then you add the night cream it’s just feels divine and I feel like a lot of my fine lines and a few of my darker spots have definately faded. I’m definately going to continue on with this regime it’s working well for me so far I’m eager to see how it continues.
