Olay Miracle Boost and Micro Sculpt Duo Review

I've been using these products for three weeks, and have really enjoyed them. I use the essence morning and evening, and the moisturiser in the morning. The moisturiser leave my skin feeling soft and matte and is excellent under makeup. I prefer a richer cream at night time. The essence is lovely, it's the skincare step I didn't know I was really missing. The RRP for both of these products is really reasonable for such high quality and effective skincare, particularly as they are available from supermarkets, Farmers and The Warehouse, all of whom regularly have price reductions.

I tested both serum and cream combined on one side of my face and the back of the corresponding hand and the cream alone on the other side (face and hand) to see if the claims of increased effectiveness with the serum could be true.

The serum is seriously brilliant! From the genius applicator cap to the sheer effectiveness of the clear gel in improving outcomes you will not regret adding this approx $30 little goodie to your cupboard.

Both serum and cream are rapidly absorbed so there's no lingering cold, damp sensation (I hate that feeling when the weather's cold). They also don't seem to transfer to clothing etc once they've been absorbed.

Unusually, there is a fine powdery feel from around 30-60 minutes after absorption. I wonder if this fine powder is the method being used to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

In combination with the serum I noticed the brightening the advertising refers to.

With the cream alone I didn't notice any brightening. However, to be fair I would have to repeat the experiment using no cream on one side and cream alone on the other. It's likely that the cream alone side appeared dull in comparison to the side which had been very noticably brightened by the duo.

There is no doubt that the cream alone does what it claims to do. But it does so extraordinarily more effectively when used in combination with the serum. (Did I mention how much I love this serum?)

I was lucky enough to be selected for this duo trial opportunity and over the course of the past three weeks, I have been religiously using both the pre-essence and the sculpting face cream twice daily. I do wish I had taken before and after pics as I am very impressed with the results. Both the pre-essence and the face cream are easy to dispense and use. They both apply easily over face and neck and do not have any residual greasiness or stickiness. Upon use, the skin feels hydrated and moisturised and make up ready. I often skip the primer as I found the pre-essence and the face cream effectively reduced the appearance of pores and helped in easy application of makeup. Over the following days and weeks skin continued to gain smoothness and suppleness as well grew brighter, firmer and hydrated. I have also noticed reduction in fine lines and a general youthfulness and glow. I will continue to use both products and will also buy the eye cream in this skin care range to combat the wrinkles, dullness and circles around the eyes.

I was really pleasantly surprised by these products, I'd had bad experiences with Olay in the past, making my skin really greasy and felt too thick. The two products both melted nicely into my skin, no feeling of there being something built up on my face, and no red reactions that I can easily get to products.

This product said it would make me look younger with plumper skin and less wrinkles. To be honest I noticed very little changes in the plump skin aging part of the claim. I have no doubt I was nourishing my skin and that I am probably better off for using it but I didn't see much visual support to the claim.

What I did notice is that when I used the cream during the day my face felt much heavier and greasier and my makeup didn't stay as fresh for as long. On the day I forgot and only used to the Miracle Boost (Mummy Brain) I found that my skin felt much better so I would assume it is the Micro Sculpting cream that was causing the oil slick. I was impressed by a patch of eczema I had been battling to get rid of, that has significantly improved and since the Miracle Boost claims to speed up cell renewal I would assume it was from this. My conclusion is I didn't really like the cream but saw some results from the Miracle Boost but I would definitely not invest in them as a duo. I did not like the way the cream made my face feel.

Was super excited to try this products as my skin is starting to get fine lines & very dry due to the cooler days. Both generous sized containers & super easy to use. Together they made my skin feel refreshed, smooth & energised, its sinks right into the skin, is a a beautiful texture & no long wait to apply my make up. I felt in the time I have used this product that it definitely improved my skins dryness & there was a subtle difference in my fine lines.

I used the Olay Miracle Boost and Micro Sculpt Duo twice daily, applying the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence first and then the cream. I found that both absorbed quickly into the skin and had a subtle but very pleasant fragrance.

The Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence had a dropper attached to the lid which gave you the perfect amount to cover the whole face and I paid particular attention to my forehead and under my eyes. I would usually wait a couple of minutes before applying the thick cream which made my skin feel lovely and smooth.

I did notice a difference in my skin and the fine lines were a lot smoother and the depth of wrinkles had reduced noticeably. I would definitely recommend as these products really work and aren't hugely expensive! I used to be a huge fan of Olay when I was younger and after using this skin care, I've fallen back in love again!!

I have loved trialing these products and I think I have found my new go to! I wouldn't say they made me look 10yrs younger (unfortunately!!) but my skin hasn't looked this good for a long while! The texture has improved, pore size it reduced due to the plumpness and the dark hormone patches have significantly reduced. I love the fact that my skin looks and feels healthier.

I enjoyed using the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence gel. It comes in a dropper bottle which easily dispenses the correct amount to use. You only need a little so will last a long time. It is easily absorbed and does not leave any residue. Skin feels smoother and lighter after using this product. Highly recommend. However Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream was very greasy and did not absorb into my skin leaving it oily and tacky. After using for a week, my skin broke out on my T section. I am 43 with fine lines so thought this would be perfect for me. Not impressed with the Micro Sculpt Cream, but recommend the Miracle Boost.
