Olay Miracle Boost and Micro Sculpt Duo Review

I used the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence and Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Face Cream together in the mornings and before bed for three weeks.

They come in matching posh red and silver packaging, which makes it looks very high end and matches their quite high price.

Together the products make a good duo as the pre-essence acts like a primer for the moisturiser, making it go on more smoothly and absorbing into my skin better. I trialled the best length of time to apply the two products and found that leaving the essence to dry for about 30 seconds was ideal. Too soon and it seemed too wet for the cream, but longer than that it seemed to have dried too much and the cream didn't apply as smoothly.

Using the products together my face felt more hydrated and smooth. However I didn't see any visible signs of reducing wrinkles (though I may need to use it for more than three weeks to see real results).

Because the cream doesn't have sun protection and the two step process seems a bit much for my busy mornings, I will start using this just at night before bed.

I have been trying this Duo products for two weeks and my skin looked obviously firmer and hydrated. My whole face complexion improved. Especially on my draw line ( firmer ) and the pores around my nose became smaller the smoother. Before I started using these Duo products, I thought they might leave on my skin greasy and sticky. To my surprise it didn't happen like that! They were not oily at all. They just made my skin feel moist and dewy. Everyday I just couldn't wait to use them. I highly recommend these Duo Olay anti-aging products to every woman that has mature skin.

After hitting 30 I stepped up my anti-ageing game. I spend more and use more on my skin to slow and hide the signs of ageing. I was very excited to be selected to trial this Olay Duo – has a few claims that if they work anyone would love. Thanks BR for the amazing opportunity.

I totally understand you can’t get a facelift in a jar.. but you can get ingredients to improve the appearance of your skin and slow the effects of aging - Pretty much I have very realistic expectations of what to expect from a bottle.

This duo claims to reduce pores, improve texture and radiance, firm skin and visibly reduce lines and wrinkles. After using for a while I have noticed my skin is tighter, firmer, smoother and my pores definitely look smaller. I took a before and after photo (will post) – lighting differs and I currently have a cold so they were pretty average to be honest.. BUT very noticeably I have smaller pores!! Win!! I did find it hard to tell if it visibly reduced my wrinkles. It increased the moisture to my skin, as well as smoothing and firming it so I feel like it was working but yes wrinkle wise it was very hard to tell – perhaps because mine are mostly eye wrinkles so I find it hard to look at the side of my face without straining my eyes. Aside from that petite pores is a huge win!

Love the packaging of both these products. The pre-essence is a user friendly pump that pre-fills when you twist open the top, couldnt be easier. I also appreciate the cream is in a comfortable to hold (I know, right?) container with a quarter twist to open lid. I don't know if I'm alone in this, but products that you have to unscrew round and round can be a bit frustrating in the before-work-5-minutes-till-I-have-to-leave urgency! The pre-essence feels lovely on my skin, like a dewy liquid-y gel, very quenching. The product suggests 2 pumps but Ive only ever used 1 and it feels like plenty. It absorbs quickly into my thirsty skin, and doesnt feel sticky or tacky like some gel-type products can. Also love the cream, which is rich, but not greasy. Also absorbs quickly and doesnt leave any oiliness so good for a make-up base. I have really enjoyed the 2 step process and my skin feels moisturised and I think a bit more toned and youthful, however would really want to use it for another few weeks to really see if that's actually the case or wishful thinking?

Not only is the packaging sleek, the pump dispenses just the right amount. It's light in texture and applies well. I really do think that the overall appearance of my skin is has improved. It appears more hydrated and brighter since using this product. I will be purchasing when I run out.

I was excited to use both products and ever hopeful for good results . Both products initially excited me and seemed really good,the cream smelt divine ,and lovely on my skin ,and the serum although initially seemed sticky on application did leave my skin feeling smooth and supple especially after applying the cream . However an hour or so later my skin still felt dry and didn’t have a glow to it that other products have given me . They failed in my opinion to deliver what’s advertised and perhaps is more suited to less mature skin . There really hasn’t been a marked improvement in my skin .
