I have found my skin to be brighter and healthier looking after regular use of this product
This moisturiser has a gel kind of consistency. It's quite light and absorbs quickly into the skin. My skin always feels moisturised and not tacky. I'm not sure if this really did much to make my skin brighter or glow, but it's a cheap alternative to other niacinimide or vitamin c products out there. It smells quite nice, not sure what the smell is but it's nice :) Perhaps avoid this if you don't like fragrance in your skincare.
Tips: Moisturise day and night, and use sunscreen on top during the day
This moisturiser comes in a nice looking jar. The smell is lovely and when I put it on my skin, it absorbs quickly and beautifully into my skin. The moisturiser doesn’t feel heavy at all on my face, the formula is perfect. It moisturises my skin all day and doesn’t make me feel oily. After using it for 4 weeks, I found my skin is noticeably brighter and radiant thanks to the vitamin C ingredient. It doesn’t have SPF in it so you have to wear sunscreen as well.
This moisturiser comes in a 50 gram luminous jar. It is white and has the most devine scent. Olay says it's citrus but to me I smell mango. Even though it's scented this hasn't irritated my skin nor does it smell like a horrible chemical. This is very lightweight, is non greasy and feels almost gel like upon application. Nice and soothing and non clogging.
My skins texture has improved and does have a healthy glow over the month that I've used it. I haven't noticed a reduction in dark spots though over more time it may happen. My make-up sits nicely on top and doesn't pill, just gives me a nice base to start with.
It costs approximately $59 at the supermarket and I will likely get 1 1/2 months worth. I have used this twice daily.
Tips: Purchase when on special.
This moisturiser is amazing. No way to describe the scent other than absolutely delicious! It smells fruity to me and isn’t overpowering at all, in fact I find it very appealing. The texture of the cream looks and feels gel-like, goes on smoothly and is absorbed straight away without any greasiness. I feel like my skin is softer, smoother and has a healthy glow now. The only disappointment for me was I felt it wasn’t hydrating enough, but that could be easily rectified by also using a serum for maximum benefits. Still another excellent skincare product from Olay.
First thing I noticed with this moisturiser was its lovely fragrance that reminded me of mangoes. I didn't find it overpowering but it was definitely noticeable so if you don't like a strong smelling moisturiser, then it's probably not for you. I like that it has the wonder benefits of Vit C and other b vitamins which are great for skin. You don't need a lot as it's very creamy and goes a long way and made my skin feel hydrated and plump after use. I have hardly any dark spots on my face so can't vouch for a reduction in those but my skin seems to have a bit more glow to it. It doesn't feel sticky or greasy once on and absorbs quickly. I feel it's pretty good value for money at around $60 for a 50g pot which should last ages.
Tips: Lock the moisture in on your skin by applying while your skin is still damp after cleansing and to ing it
I really liked this moisturiser. It comes in an elegant jar with an interior lid, but oddly, no spatula.
The formula itself is incredibly lightweight, and you don't need to use a lot as it spreads so well and absorbs easily. With the "Vitamin C" label I expected a citrusy smell, but instead it smells like mangoes. The smell isn't subtle, but something I didn't mind.
I really do feel that my skin has improved while using this product. I have a spot of dark pigmentation on the right side of my face and this seems to have faded. I also feel like the fine smile lines on my cheeks have reduced in appearance. My skin's texture has improved, feels more hydrated and I do think the vitamin c has brightened it as well. Even from the first use my skin looked like it had more of a glow.
Yes, I recommend this product.
I really like the style of the jar this came in it was cute, the only issue I did have was trying to get the little white cover off the cream, this was quite hard and I felt like I was going to spill it everywhere. I do prefer something with a pump. The product was silky feeling and smelt nice. It is as to apply to the skin and came with well written instructions on how to use it, and I really liked that it recommended to use spf with it.
Tips: Make sure you use an SPF product with this
This is a nice moisturiser with a subtle mango scent. It absorbs quickly and is nice and light, yet still hydrating. I have been using it for about 3 weeks, and my skin complexion has just started to look like it's evening out a bit. I haven't noticed any brightening affect, but its possible I would with continued use. Overall, it's a good moisturiser that I might purchase again, but it's nothing extraordinary that I'd actively seek out. However, since I'm just starting to see the affects it's having on my complexion, it's possible there would be more visible results with continued use.
Tips: Good as a makeup primer
I was very happy to be chosen for this trial as I have been wanting to add a Vitamin C product to my routine for some time but it's one of those things I never got around to doing!
I would describe the formula of this moisturiser to be a gel cream, which I really like. It's very light and absorbs easily, doesn't leave me feeling sticky or tacky and has a slight cooling effect. I definitely feel hydrated when using this, unfortunately I haven't had any noticeable change in glowy-ness and texture. Fingers crossed that with continued use I do!
It is quite heavily fragranced with a citrus scent, so something to be aware of if that's not your thing. I did not find it to be irritating, however.
The packaging is typical of Olay's more specialised range - thick glass-looking plastic tub with the chrome lid. I do like these products and are happy for them to sit on my vanity.
I think the price point for this product is fair - you would be looking at spending an extra $30 or so to purchase something higher-end of the same size, plus you can often pick Olay up on special at supermarkets and stores!
Tips: I read that some people may get irritation when combining retinol products with vitamin C, so while doing this trial I stopped using my retinol products just to be safe. Continuing on, I will use this moisturiser in the morning and add back my retinol in the evening!
