Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Face Cream Review

I was lucky enough to be picked by BR to review this product! Olay is a reliable brand and this face cream is a nice addition to their range. This face cream has a nice scent and is a good texture and weight. I have found some Olay face creams to be quite thick and heavy in the past but this one strikes a nice balance between not being too heavy or light. I'm lucky enough not to have any wrinkles yet but this face cream has made a nice difference to my skin and maybe its firmer, it's so hard to tell. The packaging is what you expect, a nice plastic jar that's not too big. I can have breakouts when I change my skin care products up but that didn't happen with this change which was good. I will keep using this after the trial period is up and am interested to see where my skin is at after 28 days of using the face cream.

When I got the invite for this moisturiser I was excited and couldn’t wait to try. The packaging of the moisturiser looks very high end- with the red and the silver teamed up, very stylish.

The moisturiser is quite thick consistency and pleasant smelling. It felt really nice on my skin. My skin can tend to be on the dry and sensitive side. This moisturiser sunk into my skin and gave it a lovely smooth surface to my foundation.

Overall I’m impressed about the quality of this moisturiser. I found it to be a really nice formula that worked well on my skin. I would recommend this and would repurchase.

This face moisturiser is so lightweight and hydrating that it makes it a pleasure to wear. Really nice under foundation. Have been using every day for weeks and can see skin is more hydrated and refreshed looking. I would definately buy in the future.

Nice everyday moisturiser and good for its price. Has little to no scent which is good if your sensitive to products that do have scent. The cream it’s self is a medium to thick consistency, so a little does go a long way! I have been using this as my everyday morning moisturiser before I put on my make up. Has been helping with the odd bits of dry skin around my nose, but haven’t notice any major chances with fine lines and wrinkles- but it’s still early days so far !

Hardly has a Scent which is great as I have sensitive skin but this didn't affect it at all. You only need a little bit as its quite a thick consistency but my skin has felt so hydrated while using it. I'm not sure my skin looks higher but it's only been a few wks, maybe I'll notice it more in a month. I have noticed the puffiness under my eyes is lessening since I started using it.

I've been using it morning and night and I like the fact its quite light, which means if I was wearing my makeup everyday it would probably be ok under my foundation.

Overall it's a really good product & I have seen the price in stores which is really reasonable so would probably still use it even if it doesn't firm skin as its great at hydrating. But I'll continue to use and see how it goes.

This product came to me to review in the full 50g size pot. The packaging is lovely and bright and definate makes you believe you are using a high end product. Once I got it out of the box and the screw top lid off, I had immense trouble getting the plastic disc off to get to the product and had to resort to a sharp knife to 'break the seal'. After a few challenges of removing this, I decided to leave it off, no more seal issues. The product itself felt quite light, it was a creamy consistency and went on my skin really well. There was no residue left over so my skin had absorbed the product . My skin is quite dehydrated during winter and after a few days this definately helped, even the flaky skin around my nose improved. It did brighten my skin and even out the skin tone which is great as I found using just a BB cream as my makeup base was enough, instead of primer & a medium coverage foundation. As to reducing wrinkles etc, I'm not sold. I think I would need to use it a bit longer to see any real marked difference. I think it reduced the appearance of the finer lines around my eyes slightly, prob due to my skin being more hydrated than anything else. It certainly did not do anything for my deep frown lines... *sigh*. My skin is quite sensitive and it did react a little for the first week with a little pimple here and there but after that, no worries. Overall, I've enjoyed using this product, I think it does enough to warrant me wanting to buy it again. Although the price tag is a little steep, I think it would last for ages so I could justify that.

I managed to nab a tub of Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream in a previous Beauty Review Vault, along with a tube of Olay 7-in1 moisturiser.

The Micro-Sculpting Cream is packaged in a 50g red pot with a silver screw top lid. The thick white cream inside has an almost perfumed scent, which is not unpleasant, and the cream spreads well and is easily absorbed, so not a lot is needed.

I used a small pea sized amount, the perfect size for my oily skin, and then gently massaged it in an upward circular motion over my neck and face.  One thing I did discover is that it's important not to massage this cream for too long, as it does start to for little balls if rubbed for too long.  Only massage the skin for as long as it takes to gently spread the cream around evenly.

Even though I'm not a fan of tub or pot packaging, I really liked this moisturiser (although out of the two that I got, I prefer the 7-in-1).  The micro-sculpting cream lived up to my expectations and definitely left my skin feeling more hydrated and a bit more plump.

I'm slightly weary of trying age defying products due to the fact my skin is both aged but prone to break outs, when first applying this I thought oh gosh it's quite greasy feeling and thought for sure I would wake up with pimples but I was pleasantly surprised that it soaked in quickly and didn't leave an oil film or greasy feeling, I also have not had a break out so it obviously doesn't clog my pores which is a win because so many anti aging creams can. I pop it on both morning and night and I'm sure my skin has a nice glow to it although I can't say friends have noticed as still semi locked down , hopefully by the time we are gathering I will look like a fresher me

I found this cream lovely to apply and it definitely gave my skin hydration. As for the claims about reduced appearance of lines and wrinkles, I didn’t notice any changes so I didn’t find that true for me. Overall, it was a good hydrating cream that made my skin feel soft and well moisturised.

I’m going to start with the packaging - nice and simple and very Olay with the red jar! I generally prefer a pump bottle over a jar but the jar was pleasant enough. Weirdly though I found the little inner lid quite hard to get off on this! Maybe I should have just done away with it but I always figure they must serve some purpose I’m yet to discover!

The product itself is lovely and thick, thicker than I would normally use as a day cream and I have to say I did find it left a sort of chalky feeling on my skin for a bit after applying, but once that absorbed (say 30 minutes) my skin felt great! It is quite scented which I know might put a lot of people off, I can’t help myself and I really enjoy scented products.

So the results! My skin definitely felt softer straight away and firmer after just a few days, and I had more even skin tone after a week. I have combination skin and this really did help my dry patches. As far as wrinkles go, I have finer lines and my skin definitely felt plumper. Visually I don’t think there was much deference in my lines though - so not a magical eraser but I would say it gives realistic results. I’m certainly going to keep going to see what results might come for my fine lines!

Overall I enjoy this product but will probably switch to just using it at night time going forward!
