Olay Regenerist Retinol24 Night Facial Serum

I have used a lot of products containing retinol or retinoids in the past, so I was excited to try this new serum. One of the main concerns with any retinol is the tolerability. I am happy to say that I did not experience any side-effects, discomfort or skin sensitivity at any point. The product comes in a container with a screw cap and dropper. The serum is milky white, fragrance-free (nice!) and non-oily. It absorbs instantly and I found it to be hydrating and quite soothing. I used it under a night moisturizer, but on occasion, I forgot to add a moisturizer and my skin still felt hydrated enough. I cannot say that there was a noticeable improvement in pigmentation or pore size, but my skin feels hydrated and it does look a little brighter. I like the combination of retinoid and Vitamin B3 and I will definitely purchase this product again in the future. Happy to recommend to others because it ticks all the boxes: Hydrating, brightening, firming, affordable and tolerable. Thanks Olay.

The packaging was nice to look at, Silver and Deep Red, although was similar packaging to other brands. The bottle itself was very nice to look at, a shimmery blue/purple bottle with silver lid. The lid acted as a dispenser as well. I twisted the lid to semi open it, then pressed the top down, then twisted the lid off. I then pressed the top which dispensed the Night Serum onto my hands.

I used the product every two to three days for the period I had the product. I didn't have any issues with using it, no reactions at all.

I did not notice any changes in my skin at all. No difference in my fine lines or wrinkles, no reduction in redness or dark spots. And it didn't hydrate me for long either. I still needed to use my moisturiser at night and morning. Some mornings I would have to clean my face as there was a residue on it.

Unfortunately I would not be recommending this product.

The fact the applicator delivers the right amount is great (if have probably used a lot more each time without it!).

It absorbs in without lots of rubbing. You can't feel it 'sitting' on your skin afterwards. It doesnt really have a smell. But the best bit is how my skins feels the following morning - smooth, soft and moisterised.

I've noticed a huge improvement in the texture of my skin - it's been less oily and I've had no breakouts while using it.

I'll definitely be buying this going forward and will probably also try the death of the range - hoping the eye cream can work the same wonders on my dark circles!

I have been using this for about three weeks and I have noticed a massive improvement in my skin! My skin is more hydrated, smooth and any dullness has vanished. The texture is lightweight and velvety and applies easy from the dropper.

Fine smile lines are not as deep, and skin is looking more healthy and youthful. Retinol is recommended to start off minimally to build up the tolerance, although I found this wasn’t harsh and was ok to use every second night. I noticed slight dryness on my nose the first couple times, but that was it.

I will definitely be re purchasing when this has finished!

I was so excited to be selected for this trial. I already used retinol prior to this product so it was great being able to compare the two. I'll get the bad news out of the way first. I did not see any noticeable improvement in my fine lines and wrinkles. However, I wasn't expecting a miracle and I genuinely believe only injectables will achieve that. My attitude towards skincare such as retinol is that it will be beneficial in the long term and that my skin will look better in 10 years time than if I hadn't used this product. So although I've yet to see an improvement in my wrinkles, I have still rated it quite highly for a few reasons. Firstly, the texture of it is far better than the brand I was already using (The Ordinary). It didn't feel oily at all and absorbed quickly but left my skin feeling well moisturised in the process. Secondly, my skin didn't have any bad reaction like it did with the first brand I tried. This could be because my skin was already used to retinol, or it could be that the formation is gentler. I'm looking forward to reading other reviews and seeing if it was kind to everyone else's skin too. Thirdly, I thought the way it dispenses was pretty cool, although I didn't think it dispensed quite enough to cover my whole face. Last of all, I do feel that it gave my skin an overall healthier and more refreshed look so it must be doing something. I'm looking forward to seeing if continued use will improve my lines at all.

Have to say I am pleasantly surprised with the product. Absolutely love the packaging and the applicator of this serum. Easy to use and very practical.

Have been using this product religiously every night without fail. Absorbs easily, smells great, spreads well with no stickiness. Skin feels soft and subtle. Have received so many compliments from friends and clients saying that I am looking younger every time they see me, so I'm sold. Will purchase again.

I've been using this for the last few weeks and it is good! It's very light and non greasy. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I have noticed that my skin is looking clearer/brighter and it is feeling more supple. I'm also enjoying the fact that there is no added fragrance to this formula and it smells clean.

I must say, I was extremely impressed with this retinol product. Normally when I use retinol, my skin dries out for a little bit before it gets use to using it. Not with this product! I experienced no dryness at all. I have normal-oily skin, so dry skin is not the norm for me. I’m 33, so I do have some “life” lines haha. But nothing too major. My main concern is my pores. Since using this product, I have noticed that my pores look visibly smaller, which I am stoked about. People have also commented saying my skin is looking amazing and that I have a glow- some going as far as asking if I’m pregnant! (Which is impossible since my partner is female haha). I do have a pretty good skin care regime, so I think the combination with the retinol serum and my skin routine has made my skin amazing. Overall, I am extremely impressed and will be purchasing this again!

Olay have some great products and this product is one of them. I have really enjoyed using this serum and have noticed my skin far more supple and firm as well as being more hydrated. You don’t need much product out of the bottle so it will last a while and it doesn’t have any scent so that’s also a plus. Only thing with the retinol is not to forget to put sunscreen on each day as the retinol acts with the sun and you end up bright red. (Lesson learnt) I would repurchase this product time and time again it’s wonderful.
