This unfragranced very lightweight night serum comes in a nifty bottle that is drawn up into the applicator when you unscrew the lid giving you the correct small amount of serum. A little does go a long way and it absorbs instantly into your cleansed skin. I felt I could have used more if not for the applicator as I can be a little heavy handed with lotions at times so this is perfect for me to get the correct dosage. I have been using for a month now and after a few breakouts (which I think were more hormonal than anything), I haven't noticed my pores are smaller or that my wrinkles/fine lines have visibly reduced as it claims to do however I am really impressed with how beautifully smooth and brighter my skin is. In fact each night after using, I have to stop myself from continuously rubbing my skin as it feels so lovely. I will definitely purchase this again, as at around $40 it is a good buy for a night serum.

Reviews
Tips: Make sure you do use an spf face cream during the day as retinol products can make your skin sensitive.
I was so excited to be able to trial this product and review it. I have been using the serum for nearly 4 weeks now and have found it makes my skin so soft and smooth. It is definitely hydrating. It has also smoothed the appearance of my large pores and ever so slightly minimized the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles. It has also slightly brightened my skin so my age and sun spots look a little better too. I would not say it has made a huge difference but I think with further use I would see better changes, and I certainly look healthier in my face overall. I would also be interested to see how much better it works with the other recommended products in the range. It has no fragrance which is actually really nice. It goes on easy and straight away gives my skin a soft glow. It has quite a watery consistency, but a little goes a long way and covers and absorbs really well. It is not sticky, it almost has a soft powdery feel. I really love the way it makes my skin feel after I have put it on, plus I wake up with my skin still feeling soft. It definitely hydrates as it says. I LOVE the bottle. Aside from the pretty colour, it has the best system for delivering the perfect amount of serum. As you unscrew the lid, it sucks the perfect amount into the applicator and all you have to do is push the button on the lid and it releases into your hand, with no mess and no wastage, and no contamination! Then when you screw the lid back on, the button pops back down ready for the next application. It's so quick and easy to use. The lid is secure, so no problem to put in a travel bag. Would I buy it again? Yes I actually think I would, just for the way it makes my skin feel. The price is really good for what it is, and with the perfect applicator, you won't waste any. And yes I would recommend it to a friend. Thanks Beaty Review for the opportunity to try this product I really enjoyed it.
Tips: Make sure you use a 50+ sunscreen due to the retinol in the product. I use the La-roche posey bb cream with 50+ which is a nice addition to my makeup routine.
The serum is in the form of a white liquid that's easily spread and quickly absorbed. Not sticky, it works well under moisturiser and makeup.
I love the glass bottle, it has clever self-refill dropper: hygienic and would probably help to preserve the quality of the serum.
I don't need to use much, about pea size to cover face and neck. Another option is dotting tiny blobs on my face straight from the end of the dropper before spreading the serum allover my face and neck.
I've never used retinol so I followed the directions from Beauty Review: patch test for 12 hours, then using it once in the first week. The second week I used it twice a week. The third week I tried using it every other day but my skin felt too tingly, so I reduced it to into once every 3 days. This week my skin could tolerate using it every other day, and doesn't feel tingly anymore.
I was a bit nervous using it to start with, in case I get redness/peeling/dryness. Thankfully I didn't get those reactions, probably because I took the time to introduce the retinol to my skin. The first few times I used it my skin felt a tad tingly, like a mild itch, especially on my neck. The feeling disappeared after a while. I think the key is to apply less instead of too much.
I wasn't sure if it would give me much benefits. However, I was pleasantly surprised when after 4 weeks I noticed that a big blob of dark spot on my cheek is looking much lighter. Haven't seen any improvements yet on my fine lines, smoothness, nor brightness. I wondered if it's because I haven't been using it daily. I tried using it daily the other day but found my skin got too tingly so I think every other day works for me for now. Will be applying it daily as recommended on the packaging in a few weeks time, as I'm impressed by the improvement on that said dark spot.
Thank you, Beauty Review, for introducing me to this! Would recommend this serum, as long as it's introduced to the skin slowly, especially if you have sensitive skin like me.
Tips: Use moisturiser after the serum so it's not feeling too tingly.
ALWAYS use sunscreen in the morning after using retinol the night before.
I read the instructions in the email, and built up my use slowly - every three days, every other day. Then every day. I’ve been using it daily for about two weeks, and I have to say at this early stage - it works!
To start with I did get a little peeling in my usual dry spots, but that passed in a couple of days - and after research found this to be normal. I can say that the fine laughter lines around my eyes are less noticeable, and the couple of dark pigment spots that I had have also started to even out. It’s quite thin in viscosity, but rubs in easily and makes my skin feel velvety which I wasn’t expecting, and the fragrance is very slight so it’s not noticeable after a few minutes.
(I also noticed that I sleep better, and even though this might be a coincidence- I’m happy.)
The only down sides I can see is the dropper style bottle, and the quantity. The bottle holds 30ml, which with daily use is about a month at best, which means a monthly investment of somewhere around $50. I’d rather pay $100 for 3 months - seems a little more palatable? The other downside of the auto dropper. I like that it self fills, but it’s a bit awkward to use when you have just got out of the shower and your hands are slightly damp. It was fun putting dots in different places and making patterns - that was a little perk that amused me each night - and likely will until I finish the bottle.
The carton didn’t have instructions - like slowly building up use if you aren’t experienced- so that might be something Olay could add at some stage.
Overall - I am happy, and will likely purchase in the future, I have already recommended to a couple of my friends.
Tips: Make sure you dry your hands properly when using the applicator
This serum has been a pleasure to use. For a product that treats so deeply overnight it is surprisingly light. Non greasy and fragrance free as well, it makes you feel like you are doing only good things for your skin. Although I think you need to use this serum for much longer than 30 days to see a noticiable change in wrinkles, it did within a few weeks make my skin look and feel brighter, smoother and more hydrated.
Tips: Massage any excess still on fingertips unto the back of your hands to give this high wear spot an anti aging boost..
The product is bottled in a pretty pale purple bottle with a clever silver lid that, if you remember to shut the lid properly, draws up the perfect amount of product for your face when you re-open. I love that the bottle is made from glass which keeps the serum cool so its refreshing to apply after a shower at night. What I loved about this serum was after you put it on it didn't cause any tight feeling or 'squeakiness ' to the skin like some others I have tried. I didn't feel I needed to follow this up with a night creme. The serum itself is fragrance free, as stated, and when dispensed produces a ten bit piece of liquid that is adequate for your entire face, I did find I need an extra amount to include my neck in the treatment. It disappears into the skin almost instantly so if you wanted to follow with a night creme there's no need to wait. I have found that the serum has rid me of a few drier patches I had around on my face and has improved the overall texture of my skin. It now feels softer and smoother. I'm not so sure it's erased any fine lines but it's taken me years to get those so after a month of using one product that's asking a lot. I'm looking forward to continuing to use this product till I reach the end of the bottle and seeing what other results I get. I think this is a great product that takes mere second to use but does produce lovely soft smooth skin.
Tips: Make sure to wear sunscreen whilst using this product
I found thid product amazing. After application it did not leave any residue and penetrated the skin. When i woke up my skin looked brighter, tighter and smoother. Applying at night was easy and the application bottle was easy to use. There is no nasty smells and overall a brilliant product.
Tips: I started off using this product once then 4 days later i used again, left it for another night, and then nightly after that to check no adverse reaction. No redness or reactions at all.
I’ve been using this product most nights for a few weeks now as part of the trial team. I must admit that I was hesitant at first, as it was suggested to do a patch test first and watch for any reactions - but the serum is actually a real dream to use, I had zero negative reaction, and I’ve got to say that I’m genuinely pleased with the results. It is labelled fragrance free, which it is and which I really like. I think often this type of product, even one that claims to be fragrance free, can smell chemically, so a thumbs up from me. It goes on easily, and is very light and quickly absorbed, my skin felt good afterwards. Does it work? I think for the most part it probably does. I think committing to the product regularly over the time I’ve had it has seen my skin look better, a little plumper and the tone is definitely a little more even. There is plenty left in the bottle, and when it runs out I’m intending to re-stock.
So it took me a couple of tries to work out how to open the bottle (I was tired that day I think), but once you do work it out, it works really well. The pump dispenses exactly the right amount of serum to do face and neck, so no wastage. The serum itself is quite thin, and it goes on smoothly and absorbs in not time at all so you can add a night cream and not feel like your skin is getting overdosed. The serum is unfraganced, and my skin didn't have any reactions to it (other than looking brighter and plumper). I will definitely keep using this one.
Tips: Try it, it's available at the supermarket and great value for money.
I was so sacred and excited to trial this poduct but I love the texture and feel of this serum it doesn't feel sticky or greasy and absobs into the skin really well. I use a facial roller after my application and massage for 5-10 mins. I have noticed my skin is visibly brighter, smoother and feels so plum in the morning when I wake up. I grabbed this from Priceline and so glad it's easily available at most supermarkets and pharmacies.
