Olay Regenerist Retinol24 Night Facial Serum

I was so excited to be able to trial this product and review it. I have been using the serum for nearly 4 weeks now and have found it makes my skin so soft and smooth. It is definitely hydrating. It has also smoothed the appearance of my large pores and ever so slightly minimized the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles. It has also slightly brightened my skin so my age and sun spots look a little better too. I would not say it has made a huge difference but I think with further use I would see better changes, and I certainly look healthier in my face overall. I would also be interested to see how much better it works with the other recommended products in the range. It has no fragrance which is actually really nice. It goes on easy and straight away gives my skin a soft glow. It has quite a watery consistency, but a little goes a long way and covers and absorbs really well. It is not sticky, it almost has a soft powdery feel. I really love the way it makes my skin feel after I have put it on, plus I wake up with my skin still feeling soft. It definitely hydrates as it says. I LOVE the bottle. Aside from the pretty colour, it has the best system for delivering the perfect amount of serum. As you unscrew the lid, it sucks the perfect amount into the applicator and all you have to do is push the button on the lid and it releases into your hand, with no mess and no wastage, and no contamination! Then when you screw the lid back on, the button pops back down ready for the next application. It's so quick and easy to use. The lid is secure, so no problem to put in a travel bag. Would I buy it again? Yes I actually think I would, just for the way it makes my skin feel. The price is really good for what it is, and with the perfect applicator, you won't waste any. A very very annoying bottle!! I love this product but that bottle drove me bananas! The concept of a self loading pump is a good one and it's a very pretty bottle, but the amount of serum that comes out just wasn't enough for me to do my whole face and neck. Fiddling and fluffing about trying to reload the pump to get more serum with one hand is really really difficult.

The serum itself is a good consistency, completely fragrance free and absorbs quickly into your skin. After first use the next morning my skin felt softer and definitely more hydrated , this continued with every following use.

I didn't notice any skin reaction following the first use, starting with every second night and built up to using every night.

My lines seem a little finer having used this for a few weeks, and the neck wrinkles are actually reduced!

I'll definitely be restocking when the bottle is empty although maybe I'll decant into one with a decent pump!

I am new user of retinol and this serum is my second product so I can't compare with other products but here is my experience. The serum comes in gorgeous, lush looking purple dropper bottle which isn't transparent. Minus for me as I love to see how much product is left to use. I don't find it easy to use and I actually would love it to be simple pump bottle instead. Because the texture is a bit thicker, a lot of serum is being left in the pipette. The texture is milky and lightweight, a bit thick. I don't feel any scent. It is easy to apply, feels silky on the skin and absorbs well. It is recommended to use pea size amount but for me it isn't enough. I love that it has added Niacinamide which is always soothing for my dry skin. I think this serum makes my skin smoother and helps with skin tone. I haven't seen any visible improvement with fine lines so think the brand's claim it'll transform skin in 28 days, is a too bold. Anyway I know you need patience with retinol to see visible changes. I didn't have irritation so far. I overall like the product but it is not something I'd repurchase.

The boxed packaging is simple with brief directions and a caution on the box. I wasn't wowed by the by the opaque, glass bottle holding the Retinol or the silver coloured plastic screw top with a plastic dropper for dispensing. I have used an automated dispenser before and found Olay's clunky to use. It was not a seamless action in comparison.

12 hours before use I did a patch test on my jawline. Then applied over my face (avoiding contact with eyes!). My skin did not and has not reacted.

The first week I used twice a week and have increased usage from there. After removing my make up and cleansing, I apply Olay Regenerist Retinol24 Night Facial Serum evenly over my face. When you unscrew the cap it automatically draws up the product into the dropper in preparation for dispensing.

Olay Regenerist Retinol24 Night Facial Serum is fragrant (and nasties) free. It is milky in colour, ultra light weight and absorbs quickly into my skin. A little product does go a long way.

After applying Olay Regenerist Retinol24 Night Facial Serum my skin is definitely smoother in texture and very hydrated. I was pleasantly surprised my skin was just as smooth and hydrated when I wake in the morning. It is too soon to honestly say I noticed a difference with fine lines. I look forward to in another few weeks time to see if there is a noticeable difference.

It is recommended to wear an SPF on your face, in the morning after using Olay Regenerist Retinol24 Night Facial Serum. I use SPF in both my face moisturiser and foundation.

I was so excited to be selected for this trial. I already used retinol prior to this product so it was great being able to compare the two. I'll get the bad news out of the way first. I did not see any noticeable improvement in my fine lines and wrinkles. However, I wasn't expecting a miracle and I genuinely believe only injectables will achieve that. My attitude towards skincare such as retinol is that it will be beneficial in the long term and that my skin will look better in 10 years time than if I hadn't used this product. So although I've yet to see an improvement in my wrinkles, I have still rated it quite highly for a few reasons. Firstly, the texture of it is far better than the brand I was already using (The Ordinary). It didn't feel oily at all and absorbed quickly but left my skin feeling well moisturised in the process. Secondly, my skin didn't have any bad reaction like it did with the first brand I tried. This could be because my skin was already used to retinol, or it could be that the formation is gentler. I'm looking forward to reading other reviews and seeing if it was kind to everyone else's skin too. Thirdly, I thought the way it dispenses was pretty cool, although I didn't think it dispensed quite enough to cover my whole face. Last of all, I do feel that it gave my skin an overall healthier and more refreshed look so it must be doing something. I'm looking forward to seeing if continued use will improve my lines at all.

I've been using this for the last few weeks and it is good! It's very light and non greasy. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I have noticed that my skin is looking clearer/brighter and it is feeling more supple. I'm also enjoying the fact that there is no added fragrance to this formula and it smells clean.

This serum has been a pleasure to use. For a product that treats so deeply overnight it is surprisingly light. Non greasy and fragrance free as well, it makes you feel like you are doing only good things for your skin. Although I think you need to use this serum for much longer than 30 days to see a noticiable change in wrinkles, it did within a few weeks make my skin look and feel brighter, smoother and more hydrated.

The product is bottled in a pretty pale purple bottle with a clever silver lid that, if you remember to shut the lid properly, draws up the perfect amount of product for your face when you re-open. I love that the bottle is made from glass which keeps the serum cool so its refreshing to apply after a shower at night. What I loved about this serum was after you put it on it didn't cause any tight feeling or 'squeakiness ' to the skin like some others I have tried. I didn't feel I needed to follow this up with a night creme. The serum itself is fragrance free, as stated, and when dispensed produces a ten bit piece of liquid that is adequate for your entire face, I did find I need an extra amount to include my neck in the treatment. It disappears into the skin almost instantly so if you wanted to follow with a night creme there's no need to wait. I have found that the serum has rid me of a few drier patches I had around on my face and has improved the overall texture of my skin. It now feels softer and smoother. I'm not so sure it's erased any fine lines but it's taken me years to get those so after a month of using one product that's asking a lot. I'm looking forward to continuing to use this product till I reach the end of the bottle and seeing what other results I get. I think this is a great product that takes mere second to use but does produce lovely soft smooth skin.
