Oh how I love receiving things to trial from Beauty Review, unwrapping the courier package like it's a birthday present lol. Spying the packaging I thought It looked impressively big but then the product was much smaller inside, a good thing to see the box is recyclable. Other than the packaging being a little excessive it looked very much in keeping with the other Regenerist products. I liked the SPF 30 claim as I am terrible at putting sunscreen on unless it's a very sunny day so anything that does double duty and looks after my skin is a bonus. However, the warning on the side of box says to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun....I was unsure whether that was an overall health suggestion or whether something happens to the product if exposed to the sun. The moisturiser has quite a strong but pleasant scent, I thought it smelled like 'fresh linen'. The product says "whip" and "light as air" on the front which I assumed would mean the cream itself would feel light and airy like a whip but it felt thick and creamy. The description is more apt for how it feels after it has been applied. It's easily absorbed to the skin and leaves skin with a fine velvety feel. It definitely has a matte finish and controls the shine but I almost found it too matte for me. I only wore it under makeup a couple of times but I feel you could definitely use this as a moisturiser and primer in one. The velvety texture seemed to really grip make-up and keep it in place all day. I don't think I trialled this product long enough to comment on their claims of firmer and more elastic skin or reduced lines and wrinkles and didn't notice any improvement in these areas. Overall this is a pleasant product but not 'the one' for me.

Tips: This would be a great product for someone wearing a full face of makeup and wanting a good primed base but maybe try something else if you're looking for a dewy look.
Similar to some other products on the market, this came in a huge box. The first thing I noticed as soon as I opened it was the divine pretty smell and I felt so captivated by it. Once I took after the screw cap top, I had major problems trying to take off the inner lid so that went straight in the bin. The moisturiser seemed quick thick but smoothed on well and my skin soaked it all up, must have been screaming out to be hydrated! Have no break outs but found it got too close to around my eyes that my eyes reacted and got extremely itchy – could be just me as have been suffering intensely with hay fever at the moment! I do love this moisturiser and skin feels amazing afterwards and waiting to see if there will be a change in fine lines and wrinkles but I truly love this product and can’t wait to put it on each day
Tips: Throw away the inner lid
I really liked this, it goes on smooth and easily to apply. Doesn’t leave your skin feeling heavy or greasy however I found that my skin felt a bit dry. I will try this for a bit longer to see how it goes.
I got this product from the rewards vault. It really is a "whipped" moisturiser - it is so light and airy and really lovely to put on. The fragrance is soft and not overpowering, and a little goes a long way. I didnt really notice major difference in my skin, but I loved the feel of it and really loved that it had a good SPF factor - a must for my regime now. I would definitely buy it again.
I've been meaning to add sunscreen into my daily facial routine, and this product is perfect for that. It has good coverage and sets really well without leaving a greasy residue. This product absolutely delivers on the plumping and glowing aspect. Out of all the moisturizers I've tried, this has made my face look the healthiest and most radiant of them all, so much so, I've been skipping foundations, powders ect. because I've been loving how it's making my skin look on it's own. In terms of hydration, it's fairly good. The first day I tried it, it kept my skin hydrated all day and night. However, when dealing with all day mask wearing, it didn't stand up so well, and my face became super dry, and the product would irritate the skin for a minute when applying, especially around the eyes. The only thing that I didn't like about this product is the little interior lid. The handle is so small it's difficult to lift with short nails, and it picks up a lot of product on the edges, which makes the exterior lid a bit messy. I've just left it loose in the ext. lid and it's been a lot better. Overall, a fantastic product that I'm going to look forward to using all summer.
Tips: Use another moisturizer around the eyes to avoid irritation, especially during hay fever season, as this product can make dry eyes water more. Also keep WELL away from your lips, otherwise you'll have a bad taste in your mouth for hours.
This cream is rich and hydrating without leaving that heavy feeling on my skin. It provides an adequate amount of moisture and leaves the skin feeling soft and looking luminous all day. As with SPF, it's important to reapply during the day. I found I was able to apply further layers without it pilling or weighing down my skin.
Tips: This cream is heavily fragranced and has the classic "olay" scent, it doesn't bother me as once the product is applied I don't notice it after a few minutes. It does claim to be a Matte finish, however on my oily skin it does not give a Matte finish, more of a slight glow. It also doesn't accentuate my oils during the day so I would recommend for combo/oily skin too.
I really liked the formula of this moisturizer it was non greasy yet hydrating and best of all it’s got a SPF 30! It really does have a matte finish so can easily use under foundation and it still lasted all day. Very light weight and nice scent also
Tips: Use as a primer under foundation doesn’t actually need a primer on top
I was so excited to be invited to trial the Olay Regenerist Whip UV SPF 30 as my skin has been a little lacklustre and neglected after the birth of my daughter 4 months ago and it certainly has not disappointed.
It’s beautifully packaged in a classy red jar with a silver lid which looks gorgeous on any vanity. It would be great if it came with an applicator as I don’t really like having to dig my fingers into a jar and end up getting product stuck under my nails.
The cream itself definitely lives up to its name. When you open the jar you can truly see the “whip” and feel the “light as air” texture as soon as you dip your finger in. It does have a very strong scent which I can only liken to hair conditioner and it does linger for a while after application.
A little goes a long way and absorbs quickly into the skin once applied leaving you with a smooth, matte finish while still feeling hydrated and nourished. It also works really well as a primer under makeup. To be honest though I do find that my skin doesn’t stay matte for a full 8 hours as claimed on the box. However, my skin has been noticeably firmer and I’m starting to see some reduction in the fine lines around my eyes.
My favourite thing about this product is the built in UV protection. And even better that it doesn’t leave behind a white cast like some other sunscreens and products formulated with SPF.
Overall I’ve really enjoyed trialling this product and have been pleased with the results so far. I’m looking forward to seeing more improvements in my skin in another few weeks!
I managed to get a spot on the trial team for a tub of Olay Regenerist Whip UV, and was keen to compare it to the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream that I've used previously.
The Whip UV Cream is packaged in a 50g red pot with a silver screw top lid, and the thick white cream inside has an almost floral perfumed scent, which is not unpleasant, and the cream spreads well and is easily absorbed, so not a lot is needed.
I used a small pea sized amount, the perfect size for my oily skin, and then gently massaged it in an upward circular motion over my neck and face. One thing I did discover is that it's important not to massage this cream for too long, as it does start to 'pill' or form little balls if its massaged onto the skin for too long. Only massage the skin for as long as it takes to gently spread the cream around evenly and then let the cream sink in.
Even though I'm not a huge fan of tub or pot packaging, I really liked this moisturiser. It does help to control shine, and they weren't lying about the 'light as air' finish either. Once the cream as been applied, my skin feels soft and smooth, with an almost light matte satin feel to it, and there's absolutely no greasiness. The added anti-aging broad spectrum SPF30 is a wonderful bonus. I love moisturisers that contain SPF and are non-greasy.
Overall, my skin looks and feels great after using this moisturiser during the trial time. It feels more hydrated and therefore looks plumper or firmer. I'd have to give it a few more weeks to see if I begin noticing any difference to the fine lines around my eyes and mouth.
Tips: Comparing Olay Whip UV cream to Olay Micro-Sculpting Cream: - they're both packaged in the same tub (just the name is different), - they have very similar scents, - they both 'pill' or form little balls if massaged into the skin for too long, - they both contain Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Amino Peptides, Carob Fruit Extract and Hyaluronic Acid, - Whip UV contains SPF30, while Micro-sculpting cream in the same jar does not contain any SPF protection (Olay does have a micro-sculpting cream with SPF, it comes in a pump tube, but I haven't used that one).
I have really enjoyed getting to trial this product. Usually when I look into SPF creams I wouldn't go below a 30 rating, so was please to see that! As stated it is a lightweight moisturiser with a matte finish. This was great, I felt that my makeup didn't move much having it underneath which is a must for me! I did notice that the smell is really strong! Usually I am not a fan of fragrance in products, so could have done with out this. But the smell soon fades when wearing. I am yet to see my skin "transform" from this cream, but really I don't think that this would be used instead of a full skincare system, more of an additional product to protect from UV rays. All in all for the price I think this is a fair product.
Tips: Give the moisturiser a minute to set before adding foundation on top. Allowing it to go matte first makes for a better finish overall.
