Olay Total Effects Moisturiser is presented in a cylindrical plastic bottle that comes with a pump. At first I thought the bottle was really strange looking but have actually enjoyed the pump as it seems more hygienic and you can squirt straight into you palm. The consistency is thick but was really easy to spread. Once coverage was complete my skin felt well moisturised, light and fresh. My skin did not get the oily appearance that most thick/heavy day creams seem to have on my skin. The fragrance is of a subtle but pleasant floral scent. One squirt covered the whole of my face and neck so this product will last a decent length of time. I can deffinitely say my skin looks healthier and after 5 days of using it didn't clog pores. I am unable to say whether this product does or will be effective in reducing fine lines and wrinkles given i have only used for 5 days. Overall in would recommend this product as it doesn't clog pores or make skin oily. It is a great price at $14.99 for a 50ml bottle. I will continue to use and hope to see a reduction in fine lines.

Tips: Use after clensing
I was so excited to get this product , thr timing was perfect as I was in dire need to switch up from my normal after hitting 31 and winter! There were two big things thay stood out righy off the bat. Firstly the box wasn't insanely bigger than the actual bottle and secondlu, I adored the fresh smell....not too muc perfume, just a hint of freshness. I go through my standard routine of clense, serum moisturise and get caught off guard with the amount of product that comes out in one pump. Going foreard, I really try to do a partial pump so as not to waste it. I like how olay feels on mu skin, my skin feels softer for sure. I am yet to notice any fine lines disappearing so am keen to see what happens after a month or two. Definitely keen to keep using
Tips: Don't do the full pump- a loy of product comes out
I found this moisturiser similar to other Olay products to be honest. The smell took me right back to sneaking blobs of my mums Olay creams when I was younger! I love the spf included (a necessity!) and it was fast absorbing and made my skin feel smooth but I did get a bit greasy throughout the day and I havn't seen any reduction of fine lines etc. All in all its an ok product, good for those on a budget.
Tips: Don't press the top all the way down as the amount coming out is a lot.
I received this moisturiser part of the trial team and have so far used this for a week and a bit. Although I didn't notice any huge 'anti ageing' effects in this time - on my makeup free days - I did notice a bit of skin tone even-ing and it applied quite nicely. Not greasy and it went on well under my foundation. With regards to the 'anti age-ing effects', perhaps prolonged use might make a difference but in the time I used this, I didn't notice much. The thing I most love about this moisturiser is that it is SPF 15. This would be great for summer when spending lots of time in the sun, at the beach etc. Would I buy this? Argh its a hard one! If anything this is quite pricey and I'm quite budget/value conscious when it comes to buying products (e.g will I get my worth back). Because of this I would stick to my standard Olay moisturiser. Otherwise I would recommend this product!
Tips: If going makeup free - pair with the Olay eye cream for a natural cover.
I am so glad that I was picked up for the trial of Olay Total Effects Moisturiser Normal UV SPF15. It's an amazing cream and this is one of the trial I thoroughly enjoyed because of many reasons. Firstly, I love the packaging and it's pump bottle which looks appealing and so convenient to use. You don't need a big amount of cream to apply, just a pea sized is enough and the bottle will last long. It absolutely does what it says and I am glad to say that it is truly magical cream. I am still surprised that I have never experienced a cream which can work for so many skin issues but now I believe when I used Olay Total Effects. After using it for a week, I noticed visible results in clearer, fresh and even skin tone. My acne spots are almost gone and my under eye dark area is becoming better. Best thing is that it is not oily and get absorbs well in the skin leaving a soft and and smooth skin. I am surely going to continue using for more improved results.
Tips: I would again like to advise that always use a trusted and known brand specially for skin and you will never regret this decision.
I love all Olay products. The packaging on this was great, not too much waste. I love the fact that they have a push down dispenser, which is easier and especially as you only need a very small amount. This is a great moisturiser and I am sure it is also protecting against UV rays, which I need, due to suffering with vitiligo. It makes my skin feel smooth, so is helping with any uneven skin texture. My skin does not feel dry and looks healthy and it is helping to eliminate any visible pores in my skin. I am not convinced that it is getting rid of fine lines and wrinkles, but may be helping with dark spots, although no one has commented on noticing any difference.
I would certainly buy this product again, and feel that, in view of the fact that you only need a small amount, it is excellent value for money.
Tips: You only need a small amount, so use sparingly.
Great product for a great price. It soaks in to the skin really well and didn't leave my face feeling greasy at all. It has a nice smell to it too. I use it morning and night. This is totally an awesome addition to any ones facial routine. I also really like the container and find it really user friendly.
I first noticed the lovely fragrance this product has. It glided on my cleansed skin and felt silky smooth when applying. I didn't need to use a lot of product as it went a long way. I have only been using for a couple of weeks so cant't say I have noticed a reduction in pore size or the diminishment of fine lines or wrinkles thus far but my skin definitely doesn't feel as dry as it usually is and my skin is not at all dull while using this product. In fact my skin looks better than it has in ages.
Tips: Make sure your face is thoroughly cleansed before use to get the best benefit from this product.
This is a great, everyday facial cream. I love that it has SPF in it. It also worked well under my foundations. I tried it under both matte and illuminating foundations and it worked really well as a base on it's own or with a primer as well. Quite often I found myself skipping the primer altogether as the moisturiser by itself worked so well as a base for my foundation. It helped improve the look of any dry patches on my skin. I also found that it had a brightening effect on my skin. It wasn't oily at all, so it didn't make my skin feel greasy. It just left my face feeling hydrated and nourished. I will continue to use it as part of my morning routine and would consider buying it myself in the future. I think it works really well for combination skin and is a great all in one product that would be ideal to travel with as well!
Olay Total Effects Day Cream SPF 15 has lots of claims that tis will fight the seven signs of ageing, including dryness, dullness, enlarged pores, sagging uneven texture, uneven tone, fine lines and wrinkles. The addition of an SPF 15 would make it the total over the counter solution to protect and revitalise aging skin, such as mine. I was delighted at the scent of the product, nice, light and clean. The packaging is attractive, with all the claims visible so you know what you can expect to improve by using this product. The container is easy to use with one hand making it easy to apply. I started by using this product in the morning, after my shower and before putting on my make-up. I found that it had a nice non-greasy feel and my makeup didn’t fall off with this underneath it as it absorbs fast into the skin.
The only thing that I found with my sensitive skin was that this product dried it out and gave me exceptionally dry patches around my mouth and chin in the morning. After a few days I stopped using the Olay Total Effects Day Cream as the dryness caused flakiness in my skin and I found that it wasn’t the right product for me. I do have sensitive skin and thought this moisturiser would be ok, but it did not work well with all of the skin on my face. Going forward I may use it on my neck, eye area and upper face but will refrain from using it where the skin reacted.
I believe for others this may be a perfect all over solution that is not too expensive but affordable and many others may have better all over results that I experienced.
Tips: Be careful if you have sensitive skin, patch test before using all over.
