I received this through the trial teams and I have to say I was pretty impressed! Not only does it apply really well (not greasy!), it has a slight tint so it provides light/barely there concealing. Which is great because under eyes are normally the part that need most concealing! I didn't notice a huge change in the appearance of my under eyes during the time I used this (2 weeks) but I feel like this is the kind of product which works on application opposed to being the type of product that works on improving appearance of eyes over time. I'm impressed anyway. When using as part of my makeup process - it fit in really well. I moisturised, applied the eye cream and because of the non-greasiness I was able to apply my foundation and proper concealer not long after. I'm a bit budget conscious when it comes to products so I'm not sure if I would buy this product the the price advertised but on the other hand this stuff would last for yonks so perhaps it's worth it! I'll leave that up to you to decide :)

Tips: Comes in handy as a barely there concealer for those makeup free days!
So- I didnt hate this, but it wasn't lifechanging...
The colour was quite fleshy, looked like I was putting on foundation, I looked in the mirror to see if it was coloured on my face, but it wasnt, disappeared into the skin like any other cream.
It was just eye cream, like I say nothing life changing for me. depending on the price point I would potentially purchase it again if it was on the lower end of the scale or on sale I unfortunately didnt notice my under eye circles disappearing, but I was unwell during the time of using it, so it could be more about other factors that even the best eye cream made of unicorn sprinkles couldnt fix haha.
It smelt quite nice and wasnt greasy, i will continue using it until its finished.
Tips: Always use your ring finger! So its impossible to mash it into your eye causing damage to that delicate skin!!
The short answer is...Kind of.
The main purpose of the product is to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark circles around the eyes. I didn't feel like it made much of a difference here - I have pale skin and even after a good nights sleep, I still have a bit of darkness under my eyes. I didn't feel like the cream, either straight away or after continued use, helped this. ....But, in saying that, I still kinda liked it. I know, that makes no sense! The product looked nice, felt nice, and smelled nice, and it felt pretty fancy for a low-end supermarket cream. It made a great base for under-eye concealer and for eye shadow.
At the end of the day, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, and I wouldn't purchase again. For the time that this product lasts me (which will be a fair while; you only need a tiny touch on the tip of your finger, and there's a decent amount in the little glass pottle) I'll continue to use it as a base/moisturiser, but I won't expect any dramatic results. I'll feel pretty fancy while doing it though!
Tips: Use after moisturising as an under-eye concealer and eye shadow base. I didn't notice the "touch of concealer" that is part of it, so it is possible to use this at night also.
I have never sed eye cream before primarily because I felt that the aging process will happen regardless what creams I put on my face. However I feel I’m now a convert, this product was amazing it brightened my under eye circles after the first application. I feel this product made a big difference to very tired face. It was hydrating and really did help colour correct my dark circles. Can’t rave about this product more!!!
Tips: Small bit goes along way, use sparingly
I'm really impressed with this eye cream so far. It really does brighten the under eye area and a little goes a long way. It absorbs quickly and isn't greasy. I really can notice a difference after putting it on, it instantly makes my under eyes look more lifted, smoother and brighter. I'm not sure if it is helping with the under eye wrinkles but it's still a nice eye cream for the day time. It does colour correct a little bit but don't expect it to conceal everything as it is just a light cream. If I need full coverage I'll still use foundation and a concealer as well and this eye cream works well underneath. But if I'm in a hurry I have found that this eye cream is great for no make up days as it still makes my under eyes look a bit more awake and revived.
First impression: I absolutely loved the Box packaging, it had a nice weight to it and looked high end. The product itself is very lite, the packaging had the weight.
The jar is lux and beautiful. (I have it on display) The product feels lovely once you touch it, it feels soft, lite and feels like blurring product. It definitely brightens the undereye area and dulls the darkness, it feels extremely soft and very smooth; it blends into the skin seamlessly. On me it doesn't seem to give my undereye area the hydration it needs. This is for me personally as I have dryer under eyes and need more hydration.
Makeup goes over top seamlessly and the products did make it look brighter then usual.
Half way through the day I did notice creasing from this products under foundation and concealer. All you have to do is smooth is with your finger. (I've tried it with less product and it didn't crease mush under makeup; may not crease to someone who doesn't have a dry under eye area.)
Tips: You may get creasing thought out the day, just use your finger and blend it in.
Dark circles have always been an issue I’m not sure if it’s true lack of sleep or if they were passed on as a gift from my loving mother.
This is the first eye cream I have come across that has colour to it which I think is a brilliant idea. I find when I have it on I definitely notice it makes my dark circles less noticeable but over all I’m not to sure how much it is improving them.
I would prefer it in a tube, maybe come with a spatula or something rather than just sticking your fingers straight into it.
I love the jar but I tend to think olay over package their products it’s a bit over kill for something your just going to throw away.
I will definitely be replacing this product and updating my review after a longer period of use
Tips: A little goes a long way
I got this in the last vault and was keen to try it, because I love eye creams and I love Olay.
It comes in a big packet but is just in a small 15ml glass pot. The product itself looks like runny foundation so I hoped it would tint away the puffy white bags under my eyes. It didn't. It absorbs and leaves no colour behind. It is a positive that it absorbs well though.
It has a lovely soft mild scent.
So, I've been using it morning and night for a couple of weeks now. It's ok, but it isn't near as good as the one I was using before it. It does hydrate the skin under my eyes but I haven't noticed the instant reduction of puffiness, or wrinkles. I don't have dark circles so I can't speak for that.
So all up, it's middle range for me. I wouldn't repurchase as it's too expensive compared to other eye creams.
Won this Olay eye cream a couple of Vaults ago and it's taken me a long time to make my mind up. First of all, this is about $50 when full price, which I consider a lot for a drugstore type product - it is Olay after all, not a high end product. I really think it should be at least half the price. Did I like it? Overall yes, despite my grumbling. It's got a lovely silk texture and rubs in very easily so you don't need much. I ended up using it as a sort of BB cream and putting it all over my face. It seems to give my face a more healthy hue, but you can still see the various imperfections, lines, and whatnot that we all try to cover with mirale creams and potions! For that reason I don't think it's their 'ultimate' cream, but it's nice.
An eye cream is something that I’ve been looking at for a while and have been advised by a skin care specialist to use. There are so many out there so I was a little overwhelmed and hadn’t yet picked one but then I was luckily given the opportunity to trial the Olay Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream.
The packaging is really beautiful, however there is a lot of plastic, which I’m not loving at the moment, I’d love to see leaders in the beauty industry take note of this and start to look at other ways to display their products!
The outer packaging is very informative with all of the usual ingredients, steps of use and the benefits of using the product. You can see the small tub through the packaging and at first glance I was slightly worried about the colour. The information that I had read about the eye cream said that it had inner technology to match any skin tone, it just didn’t look that way and also didn’t state that anywhere on the outer packaging which would have made me too cautious to buy if I’d seen it in a shop. It did say ‘colour correcting technology’
The pot of product is very small, only 15ml and my first impression was that it wasn’t going to last very long and at almost $50 it was very expensive, I’m really not sure how much eye creams usually are though so maybe it’s comparative?? However I am due to fly long haul in the next month and it’s actually the perfect size for me to keep my eye area hydrated on the plane without taking up too much space!
The product itself has no scent so great for those of use who are sensitive to that, it also does not go on as ‘orange’ as it looks. It’s silky and glides onto your skin so you don’t get any tugging around the delicate eye area. I am extremely lucky that I don’t have huge bags or lots of wrinkles, just a few crows feet but I definitely found that this helped my make up glide on and last longer and made my eyes appear brighter.
It’s a really lovely product and I’d feel comfortable just using this on my eyes on a make up free day :-)
Tips: Don’t be afraid of the colour on the pot!
