I tried this lip balm for the first time last year. The tube is nice and small but I feel that the box that the tube comes in is a bit of a waste, surely the info printed on the box would suffice being printed on the tube. The smell of the balm is nice and subtle and it applies really smoothly, not sticky at all. My lips found AMAZING after a few days of using this product, because it applies so smoothly you only need a small amount each time you apply which makes it good value for money, costing just under the $10 mark. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Tips: Make sure you keep this somewhere where it wont get too hot, like in the car, otherwise it melts which can cause the consistency to change (very runny when you go to use it!)
Winter time tends to bring along with it dry cracking lips for me. I usually use paw paw, but last year I saw this in Farmers and decided to give it a try. The tube was the perfect size, small and indiscreet for when you need to reapply n public. The scent is soft and natural, and went smoothly on my lips. It lasted well, and my lips were left soft and supple. Only downfall for me was when it went in my mouth, it left an odd taste in the back of my throat. Would use it again for the great results!
Finding myself out without a lip balm in the weekend - i bought this at a pharmacy and it has shot straight to the top of my favourites. It's not too oily, goes on smoothly and doesn't stick.
Tips: As others have said - keep cool, mine was left in the sun and melted - but came right when cooled down again.
Olive 100% Natural lip balm comes in a great sized tube, and since you only need to apply a tiny amount, it lasts and lasts. It leaves my lips feeling soft and moisturised, and the fragrance is very natural and subtle. Because its oil based, it becomes quite liquid when heated, so you need to keep it in a cool place to avoid it oozing out when you open it up. Its very well priced considering how long it lasts.
Tips: Keep it in a cool place, only use a tiny amount.
Received one of these in a Christmas stocking, at the just the right time when I needed a new balm.
At first I loved it, because it really does moisturise beautifully. And the size of the tube is really handy (although a bit small for the price).
Where it all came undone was one day when I left it in the car... it melted to a liquid, and then did not set the same (as pawpaw does). And after it had melted, the smell of the olive oil became overwhelming - I felt like I was cooking in the kitchen every time I used it. Ended up binning it, and didn't buy another as it was highly likely that it would melt at some point with my carelessness
Tips: Don't let it melt!!
I inherited this product from my mum she was allergic to it so I tried it (and I am rather allergy prone) and I should have just left it as I ended up with sore red cracked lips and tingling feeling patches reminiscent of the feeling you get from coldsores. The texture of this is not unlike other Natural/organic brands - the waxes are suspended in the natural oils but when the climate gets cooler the waxes ball up into the oils and they feel very grainy when applied. The texture is quite oily too so keep this in mind. I didn't find this sunk it too well either and kind of sits on the lip like an oily film until it wears away pretty soon after applying. The scent/flavour is obviously olive oil but I get a slighty licoricey/aniseed note from my tube which is not unpleasant. I like the squeeze tube and the pale avocado green packaging it looks very naturalistic and chic. Sad this doesn't work for me but those who enjoy natural products will surely love this product I am sure.
This lip balm does what it says and goes on really well. I used it when I was down in Dunedin and the cold was giving me chapped lips, within a few days my lips were back to normal. My sisters also use this and they have really damaged dry lips that will sometimes bleed, this has helped to keep the chapped skin under control and is really soothing. The only down side to this is that it doesn't absorb very quickly and it doesn't really have a smell, which is something I look for in a lip balm.
Tips: Don't apply too generously, a little goes a long way :)
I'm not really a fan of this lip balm. It is quite expensive for a lip balm and is not very hydrating for me. It also has a weird smell which I am not a fan of. I also don't really like the squeezy tube applicator. However I do like like how they are all natural and made in New Zealand. In conclusion this lip balm didn't work for me.
I was looking for a lip balm that is natural and goes on well with application. I've noticed olive products every time I go into my pharmacy. This one time I decided to try a lip balm. I wanted to try this because it's natural and made in New Zealand.
This lip balm comes in a 10 ml tube. Its a olive green packaging with olive branding on it. The packaging is squeezed to get the product out of it. The tip of it is slanted with a small hole in it to get the product out. The consistency of it is like a balm. It had a very mild olive oil scent to it.
On application it's very oily and greasy. You need to use it often to keep your lips moist and hydrated. I really didn't notice any changes in hydration with this lip balm. I think it is highly priced. I think maybe they need to change the formula of it somehow or maybe I got a bad batch.
I love this, it's so good for dry and cracked lips. It makes them feel and look really smooth :) and you don't need to apply much i think it's really good for $10. If you have dry or cracked lips get this!!
