Origins High Potency Night A Mins Refining Oil Review

I really enjoy Origins moisturisers mostly because they work well with my combination skin. This comes in the typical plastic jar which is lightweight so perfect for travel. It has a creamy texture but is surprisingly not heavy . A little goes a long way so it’s definitely worth spending a little extra on. It does tingle slightly when applied but not in an uncomfortable way. I wake up to smooth skin and it’s a lot gentler than a physical scrub. If you have very dry skin you may find this isn’t as hydrating as some night creams but for my normal/ oily skin it works perfectly.

I have combination skin with hormonal acne and fine lines. Every night cream I’ve tried so far has either caused further breakouts and helped my fine lines or been too light too even do that! This one is absolute magic- not too heavy where I don’t need it yet nourishing and repairing where I do. It has a lovely orange scent and the texture is such that it sinks into your skin and leaves it feeling plump and healthy. It’s a speedy product but I will absolutely repurchase- in fact I already have a back up jar!

This was a major guilty last minute splurge, I had seen a favourite youtuber of my same age, actually I think she is a couple of years older than me rave about how she had been using this night cream for the last few months and the results really showed on her face, I was doing my normal watching youtube with Mecca and Sephora open on my desktop making virtual baskets as I was sucked into products being shown but I actually clicked buy on this cream from Mecca.

At just shy of $70 I was expecting my skin to be awoken the very next morning after first use, 20 years younger, with a bright, healthy glow. Disappointed that, that didn't actually happen, but I did see gradually changes over the next fortnight with my skin looking more balanced, and fuller, a hydrated plumpness that filled in those fine lines and did by the end of month 2 of use make my skin appear a few years younger. I looked less tired, even though I was stressed throughout the day.

A little goes a very long way as this cream is a very thick oil based cream and a 1cm spot on my pinky was more than enough to spread around my face, another spot for my neck because ladies, you don't want chicken neck do you? The cream seems to melt slightly on the warmth of your skin which allows it to spread further than you might first expect so this is where the money is understand, this pot lasted me 6 months! I can't believe it to be honest but just using what my skin needed has helped me spread this out for half a year so for $140 a year for night cream that works I think it is a steal and just hope that they don't stop making it anytime soon.

It also has a pleasant citrus orange smell that helps relax you ready for night time.
