While my boyfriend loves this I on the other hand am not a fan of this. It seems that everytime I use this I get quite itchy and sometimes alittle rashy on my legs which is odd. The smell is quite intense (lavender) which I don't mind and the purple gel is quite neat in appearance but It just doesn't agree with my skin

Tips: Perhaps do a little test on the skin before showering, incase you get itchy too
This product has a strong floral lavender smell that fills the shower and bathroom. I am not really a fan of lavender and his scent was a bit too strong for me. This soap has a thick gel jelly like texture that is a clear deep purple colour. I squeeze out a generous dollop onto a loofah which is enough to use on my whole body. I would recommend using a loofah as it lathers the product more easily and creates more volume to spread over your body.
I have sensitive skin and didn't have any reactions to this soap. This soap also didn't dry out my skin or leave it itchy. I didn't find that this soap relieved my stress or relaxed me, but it does leave my skin quite soft. This soap comes in an oval type shape with a flat bottom so that it stand ups. The lid flicks up and shuts tight so there is no leakage, although I did find that with slippery hands it can be hard to open. The bottle is easy to squeeze and distribute product.
This soap lasted me about three to fourth months, using it most nights. I would say that the price is really reasonable for the size of the bottle. I also like that you can pick it up at the supermarket.
Overall, I did like this product but felt there was nothing special about it. I didn't find that there was any difference to using any other ordinary body wash. The soap itself is fine, but because I am not a fan of lavender I don't think I would purchase this specific scent again but I would buy a different scent.
I love lavender and usually stronger the better but this shower gel is just to over powering. Great size 500ml bottle lasts a long time. as its a thick jellish type gel in a cute purple colour. I generally use just a small amount on a bath scrub, it lathers easily. I also enjoyed the slick purple packaging. While i did enjoy the product but after a few uses, my skin felt quite dry and it gave me a red rash, which was disappointing as I was over all enjoying it. overall did the job was clean after using it but wouldn't purchase again
Tips: a little goes a long way
If I had 50 cents every time someone said to me stop stressing, calm down, don't stress etc I swear I would be a millionaire by now. And I will admit I am pretty full on and do find it hard to unwind and I love products that have the words relax, anti stress, calming etc written on the label so this one has me at anti stress
The bottle is a big 500ml bottle it's easy to grab in the shower and flip the lid open. The colour of this shower gel is pretty, it's a clear purple colour and the texture is definitely a gel it's not creamy or milky. The scent is heaven on earth a sweet lavender scent that is soothing and calming and makes me want to bathe in it. It lathers up quite a bit when used with a loofah.
The downfall with it is the scent, the calming and soothing stops as soon as you hop out of the shower. The scent doesn't linger on my skin. It's a lovely shower gel and it leaves my skin feeling clean and doesn't dry it out. It's also really reasonably priced too. I just wished the scent would last longer on my skin so this chaotic lady could chill out for a bit.
It's not quite as 'anti-stress' as the packaging would have you believe but it certainly does smell nice. I like the colour purple so this ticks that box nicely! More gel-like in consistency, this product lathers up well on a body pouf or sponge, but just as well in your hand too. The lavender overpowers any other scent in the mix but IS calming when the water is warm and the steam is rising. A good product to use before bed (if you're into the lavender-makes-you-sleepy thing), but won't make you sleepy if you use it before your 8am commute on the motorway! The scent doesn't really hold on to the skin once you've dried yourself so if you're hoping for a good 'layering scent' you probably need a stronger product than this. Overall, it's a lovely shower/bath gel that smoothes the skin and leaves you feeling a little better - just don't expect miracles!
Tips: Can be brought in the big 1 litre bottles with the pump - cost effective bathing!
This is one shower gel that does the whole family. I have used so many body washes that my fiancé won't use because it's too girly but this one he will actually use so that's a big bonus when you have one body wash that you both can use. It has quite a thick consistancy and it goes such a long way when uses with a loofah which I use every single day I find it so much easier to use the body wash with. Im not too sure about how the anti-stress part works but it definatly does smell yummy!! But one down fall is the smell only lasts while your useing it, as soon as you get out of the shower dry yourself and get dressed the smell has completely gone which is quite a disappointment for me as I like the smell to linger on my body
I like the smell of this product, the gel is thicker so a little goes a long way. It does clean my body well and the price is great for the size bottle too. I just wish it did calm the senses like it claims, it does just the same as many other body washes out there for me so if it did what it claimed it would be a cut above but unfortunately it doesnt. Lovely body wash just dont expect inner peace from it.
I purchased this product for $6 at New World after wanting it for ages, having seen it advertised on television. As Palmolive is a reliable brand in New Zealand, I trusted that this product would be good.
Firstly it comes in a gorgeous attractive purple 500ml bottle, with the distinctive Palmolive logo. I find purple a relaxing colour without it having to do anything else.
I fumbled with the lid for a minute before figuring out how it opened. But once it opened I was greeted by a delicious aroma.
Now I know the bottle says shower gel, but for me relaxing equals bath, so this product in my household is a bath gel – sorry Palmolive! So after running some lovely hot baths, in goes a generous squirt (and by squirt I mean a big blob plops into the water, as it is a very gel-ly gel). The gorgeous scent immediately pervades the senses. The water softens and my muscles and bones feel like they soften with it. Very relaxing.
After leaving the bath my skin is lovely and clean and soft, and maintains the beautiful smell for some time afterwards. Likewise the bathroom and hallway also enjoy the lingering scent – beautiful!
The product claims to use the best ingredients from nature to leave skin clean and noticeably softer. Enriched with essential oil of almond and essence of vanilla to nourish and cleanse skin in one easy step. Well my skin always feels clean and soft afterwards and it seems likely this can be attributed to the almond oil and vanilla.
It always feels like a win when a product that is economical and easy to use does a better than anticipated job, and this product is certainly a winner. I say buy it for yourself and buy some to gift to family and friends – you won’t regret it.
Having fallen in love with this product, I have also added some of the other Palmolive shower products to my list of things I want.
Tips: If using in the bath, rub some straight onto under arms and legs for shaving. It softens the skins and leaves smooth skin and a nice scent after shaving.
It was the gorgeous purple colour that caught my eye on the supermarket shelf.
It comes in a good sized 500ml bottle which lasts for ages.
The lid is a bit of a dissapointment (a pump would have been better for this sized bottle) but once you get the hang of flipping it open with wet hands you are on a roll.
The fragrance is beautiful and quite strong while you are in the shower and it lathers really well. It leaves you feeling clean and you skin feels so nice afterwards.
Tips: Look out for it on special in your supermarket, even better value.
A warm relaxing shower is extremely important to help me unwind and wash off a hard day at work or just a day in general. Theres nothing more satifying than standing under warm water running down yur body and the smell of floral aromas around the shower.
This shower gel is thick and smells amazing with lots of floral fragrances presents. I only need a small amount of this gel on a sponge and the foaming action is almost immediate. It feels gentle and soft on the skin whilst showering but even more amazing when get out of the shower.
My skin is left soft and rejuvenated so I dont even need to apply lotion to my skin which is especially helpful during winter when I just want to jump into my pjs as fast as I can.
Its a reasonable price for $500ml and between myself and my husband it lasts us a good month which a personally thick is excellent value for money.
Tips: Use with a sponge and you'll only need a few small drops to lather your entire body.
