A light, fragrant moisturiser designed for mature skin.

We recommend that our products are used within six months of opening and stored in a cool dark place.

Why so overpriced, Soultime?

Okay, maybe I'm being cynical, but I found this product completely underwhelming. I picked this up in the vault, I was almost out of my normal moisturizer so thought I'd splash out and try a fancy, expensive moisturizer from the vault. The packaging is lovely, it came in a nice white bag and is a solid frosted glass pot with a metal lid. The label is pretty basic (it wasn't even stuck on straight? but alright) but I like that it says made in NZ, and not tested on animals. The first thing I noticed when I opened it is that it's the weirdest scent. I guess it's the ylang ylang, but it kinda smells like Australia and poison. Maybe some people like it, but I definitely don't, and was very reluctant to put it on my face. The moisturizer is quite watery and grainy, it's a very 'thin' formula. It does a reasonable job of moisturizing, but no more so than a cheaper drug store moisturizer. It did absorb quickly and didn't leave a residue, but it did make my skin smell very strongly of the weird scent the product had. Overall, I can't understand why this product is so expensive. It's not luxurious or exotic, it just seems like a low end product in a fancy pot.

What a shame. I was going to purchase this in the BR Vault and was gutted when it sold out. Pleased now, based on reviews, I didn't purchase it. Thanks for a comprehensive review!

Hubby Repelant!!

Luckily I didn't pay for this out of my own pocket because I feel it is overpriced. It came in a nice frosty glass tub in a white mesh bag (luxury presentation I liked) But it stinks! Lol. Not trying to sound horrible but it kind of smells like rotten fruit or something. And my Hubby won't come near me once I've put it on :(

Its a nice formula and soaks in well but I also feel that the moisturizing properties are lacking. However it is non-greasy and a little goes a long way it is quite a light weight formula.

I do like it kind of and will finish the tub because i have it But it isn't on my repurchase list, Unless there are other scents that don't cause a headache...

Soultime – I’m ambivalent ...

I bought this product from the BR beauty vault, thinking it looked like it would be absolutely lovely. I also bought the serum which I love (apart from the smell).

On first sight it comes in a cute little blue and white pot with a butterfly – kind of hippy-style, which appeals to me. It wouldn’t look out of place for sale from the gypsy caravans!

Once the pot is opened, the same grated- carrot aroma assaults the nostrils – not lovely unfortunately! Ok, so, a good hippy-gypsy caravan chaser can get past an earthy smell!

Next, after applying generously to the face, there is a surprising gritty feeling (unmentioned by the other reviewers – scarily). Not exactly what I look for in a moisturiser. Aside from the grit, it is a soft cream which applies easily and also absorbs easily. My skin feels quite nice and soft afterwards. The product claim is: A light, fragrant moisturiser designed for mature skin. Well, that's true enough.

So, I’m kind of in two minds about it. The deciding factor would be that I feel it is too expensive for what it is. There are many much better moisturisers for the same price on the market, and cheaper brands that are much better. I would consider re-purchasing it if it were around the $20 mark or cheaper, but would never be persuaded to pay $50 for it. There are too many negatives I’m afraid.

Based on that I would be reluctant to recommend it to others and certainly would not recommend they purchase it at full price.

I found the texture gritty as well!

I have given the remainder to my son and he likes it. He has dry skin from acne treatments and it seems to be working well for him.

I thought it was funny no one else has mentioned it, but it is definitely gritty. Maybe something wasn't properly ground down when it was being made.

So weird, mine wasn't gritty at all! Although I only applied a small amount because I was so put off by the smell :/

Not too impressed

I had very high hopes for the Soultime Pomegranate & Borage Replenishing Moisturiser, because it sounded so luxurious and had a price tag to match! Unfortunately though, like other reviewers here, I was kinda disappointed.

The packaging is lovely - a frosted glass pot with a screw-top lid. I love the overall feeling of the brand and packaging.

Once opened, however, the scent of the product hits you! Not super lovely. A very herbal, earthy scent, which isn't exactly fragrant. The scent lingers when you wear it, too.

The cream's consistency is quite nice - not too thick or thin - until, that is, I noticed fine lumps or bits of grit throughout the cream. They weren't rough at all, but I nonetheless prefer my creams to be of one consistency: smooth!

Overall I wasn't too impressed, and actually don't know if I will even bother finishing the pot.
