I use both purell and Dettol. I prefer the smell of purell....it can be more expensive than detol. I buy both.

Purell Hand Sanitiser
Formulation matters. PURELL Hand Sanitizer is so hard on germs, but gentle on hands that it makes other hand sanitizers obsolete. It’s scientifically formulated to kill the most germs. Just 1 squirt of PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer kills as many germs as two squirts of any other national brand.
This breakthrough formulation also includes four different skin conditioners. It will help soothe your skin and maintain moisture – no matter how often you use it.

I find this product really good. make your hands clean and smooth after it dries. it also doesn't burn the cuts on my skin like other sanitizers and doesn't smell bad.
I am a big fan of sanitiser & have found Purell to be great. I have it in the car & in my kit bag..My kids are all fans of using it as well. When the option of soap & water isn't available this is a great stand in. When you are on the go most public facilities don't have soap so this makes sure no nasties are lurking. A good product that doesn't dry the skin & isn't too runny to use.
I have a bottle in my car door and a small one in my handbag. I dont find a lot of difference between this and the Dettol one except I prefer the smell of this one. Not sure about the conditioners though, my skin feels quite dry afterwards, but so does the Dettol. Does the job.
I use Purell at home, in the car and is great when we go camping. Simple and easy to use and a hit with the kids prior to meal times.
Like both Purell and Dettol they are much of a muchness but I do find that Purell will dry my hands a little more than Dettol but there is less fragrance with Purell which can suit me sometimes. Good product overall.
Great hand sanitiser, this one actually does smell OK, (some of the other brands smell awful). Leaves hands feeling fresh.
I feel like this works well and the smell isn't too overpowering like some other sanitisers. But if I use it often I find it a bit drying. So as long as you have moisturiser handy too its all good.
I used the 240 ml for a while and got sick of the smell. It reminds me of hospitals now, the sanitizer is very good and a small amount is all you need for your hands. It also made the palms of my hands quite dry which was quite strange. This used to be my favourite hand sanitizer but have now switched to Dettol. This is still a great product and good value for money.
I use both Detol and Purell. Both are very similar. The only real difference is that they smell slightly different, and one isn't better than the other.
One thing Purell does have in its favour is the packagin is the best out of the hand sanitisers. The straight-edged bottle means it fits easier into the side of car door and generally looks better than the rounded containers.
Doesn't moisturise hands at all - I don't see how it can claim it maintains moisture when the product evaporates on use (therefore removing moisture from hands).
Tips: This hand sanitiser has the best designed bottle.
