I'm a religious hand sanitiser user and always keep a small one in my handbag and in the glovebox of my car. This one is alright, it is very fast drying which is good and hands do feel clean after using it. However, it claims to soothe skin and maintain moisture and I found that this sanitiser irritated my sensitive skin and it felt too drying, as if I needed to apply a hand cream afterwards which detracts from the quick application of the product. Overall effective but the formula could be improved.

Purell Hand Sanitiser
Formulation matters. PURELL Hand Sanitizer is so hard on germs, but gentle on hands that it makes other hand sanitizers obsolete. It’s scientifically formulated to kill the most germs. Just 1 squirt of PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer kills as many germs as two squirts of any other national brand.
This breakthrough formulation also includes four different skin conditioners. It will help soothe your skin and maintain moisture – no matter how often you use it.

Tips: I find the fragrance is quite overwhelmingly astringent, so if a strong alcohol smell irritates you then hold your hands away from your face when applying to avoid feeling dizzy through the smell.
I prefer the Dettol over Purell but it does the job and comes in handy sizes for handbag to at home. Its quick drying and I found that my hands dry out very easily using this
This hand sanitiser is what we use at work (I am an early childhood teacher). It is quite harsh and smells very strongly of alcohol, which does make you feel as though the germs are being killed, but makes your skin feel dry. I already suffer from dry skin and when I sanitise on a raw dry bit of skin it stings a lot. I would prefer a less harsh sanitiser, but as it is what our workplace provides, I will continue to use it.
Tips: Definitely moisturise in conjunction with this sanitiser
Great for all germ freaks out there I prefer the Dettol one as I find this is a tad drying on my hands and is a tad stingy if you have even slightly dry cracked or any open sores on you hands.
For some reason, yet to be found, when I use this brand of hand sanitiser after a period of time my hands break out in little blisters, similar to what i get from a nickel allergy. So unfortunately for me this was the hand sanitiser that was being used on a cruise I went on. Unfortunately a significant number of people failed to use the hand sanitiser before entering the dinning rooms and guess what, yes that is correct there was an outbreak of norovirus. Other cruises I have been on they have been very strict about using the sanitiser and there were no outbreaks. However, back to me, I did break out in a rash and putting alcohol based gel onto an open rash made it worse and hurt like anything. Now when I travel I take my own with me and use that instead, however I must say that it is effective but to be effective it has to be used. Just a wee reminder if you go cruising
Tips: Carry small bottle in your purse.
As a property manager I have to touch some pretty gross stuff from time to time and as I nearly live in my car at times I always have sanitiser on hand. This one works well and gives me the confidence that it's killed the germs that I may have picked up. I do find it a little drying so hand cream is needed as well. I find if it's not used quickly it can go very runny and the bottle I had leaked around the pump when it got watery. If I had back to back appointments and had to eat on the run I found this product tainted any food I may eat.
A MUST have, especially working with children, its like gold dust. Especially when you're out and about and you can't wash your hands, this does it all. I even carry a small bottle for my bag, you just never know when the need to clean your hands will arise! My skin is prone to slight sensitivity, so it can burn if you have open scratches and such, but otherwise a great great product.
I love hand sanitizer and have some where ever I go especially public toilets. I am obsessed with mini things so mini hand sanitizer bottles are right up my alley!
I love the fresh, clean smell of Purell. I feel alot cleaner after using it because I can smell the scent for a while afterwards giving me peace of mind that no yucky germs are invading my space bubble when they don't need to.
After a weeks use I notice that my hands are very dry and cracked from using this constantly. I want so much to be able to use it but the drying effect it has on my skin is unpleasant and actually quite painful once the cracking starts to bleed. If this didn't happen I would be Purell Hand Sanitiser's number one fan!! Even better yet if they made one for sensitive hands!!
Tips: Keep with you at all times in those unexpected moments of germiness like public toilets
I am not a fan of hand sanitiser for everyday use. I find soap and water is a much nicer way to wash your hands.
I have the small size of this and it is convenient for overseas trips when access to clean water is not guaranteed. It has quite an obvious alcohol scent but that evaporates quickly. It rubs in easily though it can be drying due to the alcohol, which is why I use it sparingly.
I find I don't feel clean after using this, as after all you are not actually removing any harmful bacteria, just killing them (and all the good bacteria) off. I will always wash my hands with soap and water in preference to using this. However it is great for travel or baby bag emergencies.
Tips: Keep a small one in your backpack when travelling overseas for when access to clean water is not always possible
A great not too over powering sanitiser , not too drying on my skin and I always have some in my bag
