I won a QVS prize pack filled with tools . Inside was this foot file . My partner has thick heels with dry skin. He’s younger than me but has “old man feet”. I’ve tried so many things to keep rmthis dryness at bay .
This footfile is incased with this plastic mint green . It’s sturdy but thin . Has this nail file like emery board on the opposite end. I was surprised at how fast this was sanding through my partners feet like cheese .
Price wise it doesn’t cost much . My one has lasted me about six months now and still counting . I’m happy with these results. I’d happily repurchase one in the near future.
I love that this little piece of buffer magic is great at shredding off the extra little hangs of cracked dry skin off of my feet as well as the hubby's horrid things too.
Its designed in a way that you can really get a grip on it and go too town on your heels, after a good scrub and a mountain of dried skin snow my feet are left slippery smooth. I do only do this once or twice a month though as I'm lazy and end up picking at the skin after treating it too a foot soak. I did try to use this once after soaking my feet and it ripped my skin, its best used on dry skin as the wet skin seems to create a drag effect on the file which isn't very nice to experience, its not like a pumice!!
The only downside is that it doesn't have a long life, generally I need to buy a new one every 2-3 months as it goes blunt, after each use I give it a knock to shake out the dead skin and then a quick wash to keep it nice and clean, I'm probably too aggressive with it but its what it is designed for.
The handle is good on this too as its all built in with no joins so there is no bending or snapping from heavy use.
