I popped one of these masks into my cart to get that glorious thing called free shipping while making a Sephora order. It sat in my pile of masks for a couple of months and eventually - aka after going hard on the hedonism during the silly season - I decided to be kind to my face and show it some much needed hydration.
Kind to my face. Cruel to my nose. THE SCENT. UGH. It's so floral and strong and the whole twenty minutes this mask was on my face (it fits really well and isn't super drippy, which is great) I found myself trying not to breathe.
The results? I really really really want to say they're worth it - because my skin tone looked wonderfully even and I GLOWED - but I don't know that I could put myself through that experience again, not when I'm sure I can find masks that do the same without making me want to chop my nose off.
Recommend? Yes for what it does. Yes if you like super floral scents. No if you like your scents a little less overpowering.
I went through some stuff a few years ago, and at that time, I couldn't cope with face masks. They used to make me feel claustrophobic but I actually love them now. Such an easy way to pamper yourself.
Sephora's sheet masks, like their eye masks, are tissue format heavily soaked with the serum. Each variant is meant to have different effects, but realistically they just smell lovely but do much of the same thing relax you, and help your skin heal.
This is the Orchid scent - one of my faves, as it's a lush, exotic floral that isn't overpowering, but is evocative of paradise :)
My skin is always left lovely after these - I don't break out, it's plumper, hydrated, and smooth.
Highly recommended
Tips: Don't rinse your face afterwards, leave the serum on and massage it in.
