I was pleasantly surprised when I used it and it removed my make up so well. Especially my heavy eye make-up with and waterproof mascara. It is light and does not have a bad smell to it which is a bonus. It is very gentle on my skin which is good because I get cystic acne at the drop of a hat!

This is very good at removing my daily make up - I only wear very light make up on a day-to-day basis. It's very gentle and soothing and it doesn't have a strong scent.
This the second micellar cleanser that I have used and I really like it. In a 200ml clear bottle, this cleanser is great at removing the days grime. I use it as a second cleanse when I wear makeup. ..but as the only cleanser when I don't. I think that if I used it as a makeup remover, I would go through the bottle very quickly. No fragrance and no sticky residue. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to try a micellar cleanser, especially if they have sensitive skin.
After trying (and not liking) a much more expensive micellar water, I was prepared to be unimpressed by this product too. The packaging is a simple clear bottle - the formula looks like water and you just pour a bit onto a cotton pad to use it. I liked that this product didn't have a noticeable scent, and felt quite natural. I found that this could easily remove my daily make up (including eyeliner) with 2 cotton pads, which is about what I'd use with a makeup remover anyway. I did accidentally get some in my eyes once and it didn't sting or irritate them like some other cleansers would. I also didn't notice any stickiness or residue like I did with the other micellar water I tried. Like some other reviews have pointed out, while this is a great product for those with sensitive skin, or those who don't wear a tonne of makeup, I do feel like cleansers do a more thorough job. I think this product is a great stand in for a make up remover, and when needed you could use a cleanser afterwards to finish the job. It certainly is very gentle and doesn't break the bank, so I'll be recommending it to some friends I know with sensitive skin, and I might repurchase it myself too.
It took me a long time to even consider trying this stuff, thinking hey it's only water. Oh how wrong I was. I was pleasantly surprised to find that, as a cleanser, it leaves my face feeling like it's been washed and doesn't leave any residue. There's no smell.
For makeup removal all you need to do is wipe (or hold for a few seconds for eyes) with a soaked cotton pad and voila, makeup be gone. It doesn't leave an icky heavy feeling on eyes like some makeup removers.
I'll be repurchasing this when it runs out, although a little goes a long way so that won't be for a while.
This product is a God-send! I use it to remove all my make up, including waterproof and thick, waxy products, and it removes so easily and yet it's so gentle on my skin. I also did a side-by-side comparison with another supermarket brand's micellar water and Simple came out trumps. I also use this when I can't be bothered with a proper cleans or is I'm just needing a little refresher on a hot day.
Tips: Use with good quality cotton pads that won't fluff away on you for best results.
I was excited to test this product out as it has great reviews online and I wanted to see how it compared to Garnier's Micellar Water.
I adore Garnier's Micellar Water so I gathered I would also fall in love with this product - boy was I wrong.
I absolutely hate this product. I find it irritates my skin and gives my skin a painful burning sensation.
The formula does not remove my makeup - I find a baby wipe to be more effective then using this water which is bad as we all know how poorly ineffective wipes are at removing makeup.
After using this product my skin is very tight and dry. Due to being an eczema suffer this product not only burns my skin but leaves my skin raw and slightly swollen.
I also do not like the size of the product, it is only 200mls which is much smaller then some of the other brands. Given you need to use a lot of this product it does not last long at all.
Tips: Purchase the Garnier Micellar Water - it is super gentle on skin and takes off all makeup brilliantly. The Garnier product always leaves my sensitive skin feeling soft, fresh and improves hydration.
This is the second micellar water I have tried, the other being Garnier. I have used Simple products before and liked them, so thought I would try this one. It has no smell and very light to apply, just use a small amount on a cotton pad and it removes every trace of make-up. My skin can be sensitive at times, so I found this to be very gentle on my skin. I like that it has multi vitamins and natural ingredients. Very cost-effective as it is often on special at the supermarket.
Tips: Use sparingly on a cotton pad, do not get into eyes just in case.
As I have sensitive skin I've always loved the brand 'Simple'. From their moisturizers, cleansers, and to their make up wipes all of their products are effective. I had heard a lot about Micellar Water products becoming a popular way to remove makeup, so I decided to try this. From the first time I used it, I loved it!! With a full face of makeup on all I need to do is put some on a cotton pad and gently wipe it over my face. It instantly removes most of the makeup, it only take me two cotton pads to remove a full face off makeup with this. That means that the product lasts for a long time. The product is easy to use because of the packaging so you don't waste it. It takes off all makeup; foundation, lipstick, mascara, you name it. It also doesn't irritate sensitive skin or dry out my skin, I love it! It's definitely my holy grail skin care product.
Tips: **Exfoliate, cleanse and moisturize after to ensure you remove the makeup in your pores and to keep your skin soft and smooth.**
I use micellar water to remove my makeup before cleansing as I wear Estee Lauder double wear and it takes quite a bit to remove. I have tried the garnier one and while it removed all my makeup it resulted in terrible breakouts after long term use. The simple micellar water is a lot gentler in my opinion and easily removes all my makeup.
