Simple Micellar Water Review

I was excited to test this product out as it has great reviews online and I wanted to see how it compared to Garnier's Micellar Water.

I adore Garnier's Micellar Water so I gathered I would also fall in love with this product - boy was I wrong.

I absolutely hate this product. I find it irritates my skin and gives my skin a painful burning sensation.

The formula does not remove my makeup - I find a baby wipe to be more effective then using this water which is bad as we all know how poorly ineffective wipes are at removing makeup.

After using this product my skin is very tight and dry. Due to being an eczema suffer this product not only burns my skin but leaves my skin raw and slightly swollen.

I also do not like the size of the product, it is only 200mls which is much smaller then some of the other brands. Given you need to use a lot of this product it does not last long at all.

As a girl who loves to wear heavy makeup this product for me did not cut the mustard. The smell and feel were ok but I couldnt get all of my make up off at the end of the day. Whenever I would wipe I would have to go back in again as there was more residue, especially around the eye area. I found products that work more efficiently so I probably wont purchase this product again.

I purchased this when the other was unavailable and i have to say it does the job but its not my fav. I feel a bit sticky afterwards and have more breakouts. I like the neutral smell to it though and it was nice to disperse this product lasts ages and for the price is super cost effective. Not to mention that it has no nasties. Definitely a necessity to have expecially for the busy. That and a cotton ball fixes all

This is the first micellar water I have tried, Ive been using it for the past 2 weeks.

I was a bit sceptical and to be honest it hasnt left much of an impression. I think I need to try another brand to compare. Anyway the package is what it is...simple! There is no smell to it and it is essentially like water. I think that is just what I dislike.

I dont feel comfortable using this before work, the product just doesnt leave my face feeling properly cleaned, I feel like I am wiping the dirt already on the pad over my face. It did wipe off small marks of makeup which was good.

Think I will stick to my typical cleanser sorry!

I was happy to have been chosen to review Simple Micellar water. This comes in a clear 200ml bottle and easily fits in your handbag so perfect If you are travelling. It does not have any smell and is quite gentle on the skin. I have used this as a pre cleanser to remove my make before washing my face with my normal face wash.However I did find it to be a little irritating for my eyes, but than again I do have very sensitive eyes. This does not leave any greasy or oily residue after use which I really liked. It is good to remove light to medium coverage makeup and light eye makeup. I did find it didn't to a good job in removing my eye makeup. For a good cleanse and to remove heavier coverage I would recommend using this as a pre cleanser and than washing your face with your daily facial wash. Overall it is a good product and does what it says without leaving the skin dry.

Its definitely gentle, which is great as i have very reactive skin. Ive always reacted to facial wipes so trying this i was looking forward to see how it went. I found i needed alot of wipes, i see some have said 2 wipes and makeup was off but i wear VERY light makeup and found i still needed to wash my face with a warm cloth afterwards. It struggled to remove my mascara which i lightly use. but over all would be a good product for travelling or need a quick face clean but as for removing anything heavier i would prob still use my cleansers afterwards. but its not drying and a good option for me on the run.

I liked this product because it didn’t leave any residue on my face. However it took quite a long time to get the makeup off compared to other products that I’ve used. I had to go through about 5 or 6 pads before I got rid of all my makeup

I really enjoyed this micellar water. It made my face feel really great after using it and it didn't cause any break outs which tends to happen with my skin when I try things fo the first time. For removing make up I found it okay. It did take a bit of rubbing to remove more stubborn products but worked really well with foundation.

This product is super cheap, along with the rest of their range! I have always been dubious about what micellar water actually does...so I grabbed this as it was cheaper than a lot of other waters. The smell is pleasant, does not sting the face and takes extra makeup off. But in this same sense I think it works just the same as makeup remover. After use, my skin felt tacky and a little sticky. I appeared to get no pimples from this product but once it was finished I have no desire to purchase it again. It was good while it lasted but as stated above, what’s the point if you already have vitamin enriched makeup removers.
