I was completely fused by this product as it stated it was a toner but was a face foaming wash. I had a love hate relationship with this item & just wanted to get it used up. I wanted to love it given the brand name but I didn't come to love it. I got this item in my NZ brand Beautiful Chr6box of 2015 so I didn't pay full price for item thankfully because this is a highend item. I found it had a pungent scent & has a brown gritty appearance. Its packaging was a nice sturdy pump bottle where the product would disperse out of pump & I would put into my palms & add warm water then the wash would foam up of which applying to my face. I found it ho-hum it would either strip my skin or leave me to break out so my end result of using this was not a good one.

Snowberry Gentle Cleanse & Tone Soft Foaming Cleanser
Two-in-one cleanser-toner is a sophisticated formulation that combines a soft, natural foaming action which is derived from Soap nut and Kiwifruit extract; and toning from Kumquat extract, skin rejuvenating Vitamin E, and antioxidant rich Macadamia, Andiroba and Neem seed oils. This is a gentle cleanser that cleanses and replenishes the skin leaving it feeling beautifully refreshed. Unlike many aggressive cleansers and toners, Snowberry cleansers will not damage the skin’s natural barrier. Frequently, people use cheap cleansers and toners that are characterised by harsh foaming agents that rapidly strip the skin’s natural lipids, which leads to inflammation, break-outs and premature ageing. For this reason, the Cleanser is an excellent option for all ages, including teenage skin that is subject to acne.

I have had this cleanser for a while and thought it waas time to give it a go.
It is a cleanser and toner all in one, yay, love multi tasking products.
It comes in a soft tube, and you get 100mls. It is not the cheapest product out there but if you look at it as being a two in one product it is quite good value.
To use, you put a small amount in the palm of your hand and add a bit of water and then apply to your face. It is not the nicest looking cleanser, kind of murky coloured and the smell, while isnt offensive, I have smelt nicer. It feels nice on your skin and I found the result just ok. I rinsed off with warm water but found it did not remove all of my make up. I did go over with another cleanser.
This is not the product for me.
Tips: I wear a full face of make up daily and this product struggled to remove it all. This may be good if you wear very little make up, or just want to give your face a clean.
This is an interesting product. The packaging is pleasant enough, an air tight pump tube.
But this Snowberry Gentle Remineralising Toner has "A superior, soft-foam cleanser that tones and replenishes the skin."
This part has me puzzled, what is it's exact purpose?
It's a nice enough product to use although I'm not partial to the scent. That's just me though, generally speaking I prefer un-scented products.
The colour though - just no. It's a puzzling brown colour the likes of which I've never seen in skincare products before.
It leaves your skin feeling very refreshed, I will say that. I haven't been using it for long enough to have a fixed opinion as to whether it works or not but short term use indicates a promising response. I am surprised at the price though
Tips: Hmm not really but as with most of these skincare products a little seems to go a long way. Apply sparingly.
I was stoked to received my first Snowberry product in the Beautiful Christmas NZ box last year. I was even more stoked because I had just run out of toner and didn't have to repurchase a new one - so I thought. I was surprised to find the 'toner' in a pump bottle and thought my eyes were deceiving me when I thought it looked like cream from the outside.
I didn't even register it was a cleanser even as I was pumping the gel-like product into my hand until I read the back of the bottle while using it in the shower and found that it's a "cleanser that tones and replenishes the skin". I stopped mid action because that meant I had just cleansed my face 3 times and toned it once? (Cleansed twice with my normal cleanser and cleansed again and toned with Snowberry).
I love the packaging, lightweight, white with minimal colour. It's quite compact so it takes up little room when traveling and there's no issue with leakage. I do feel that the name of the product is confusing because I don't know many people who would associate the word toner with "cleanser" right from the get go.
I use one pump and a half for my entire face and it has a natural semi sweet scent to it. It doesn't really foam at all and remains slick on my skin as I try to massage it in. Most of the time I can massage 'cleansers' into my skin so that I can't detect it's original form but with this it remains gel-like right until I wash it off. I was surprised that something so gentle on the skin could make my skin feel so tight and squeaky clean. My skin felt smooth and soft once I patted it dry.
I'm not sure I could justify $55 for 30ml or is it priced that way because it's 2-in-1 and it has natural ingredients? Does it do the job? I believe so but if you're like me who cleanses twice at the end of the day (oily skin) but don't necessarily tone twice then it's not really for me. Would I recommend it to others though? Absolutely.
Not my favourite product, sort of felt dirty using it as its mud coloured and doesn't smell very nice. Also the gel texture I am not a fan of. It felt like jelly or putty. Didn't feel nice using and didn't feel like it cleaned my face too easy. I would probably use it again if I didn't have anything else, and it's not too pricey and its a natural product. It is very gentle on the skin, and feels soft afterwards. But not ideal for removing makeup. The bottle lasts awhile, as you don't need much, (just remove makeup first with a miscellar water)
I found the Snowberry Gentle Cleanse and Tone a nice experience, but it is a little pricey for what you get. It is a dark yellowy muddy colour and feels creamy, lathering slightly. It definitely has a strong fragrance to it, which irritated my eyes and ears a little, but did not cause any irritation to my skin itself. It's great for a morning cleanse to freshen up and clean your skin from the nightly build up of bacteria and dirt. However, I wouldn't use it at night for a double cleanse, it does not seem like an effective makeup, sunscreen, pollution, dirt, and bacteria cleanser. It is definitely gentle, which is great for the morning so your skin does not feel tight, dry, or excessively cleansed. But for $50.00 and only being effective for skin with no makeup and little build up on it, and a small bottle.... I don't think it's worth it. I did purchase it twice and found it nice for the morning, but past that point I just couldn't justify the price for a cleanser that does half the job. If you don't wear makeup or work anywhere overly polluted or humid you may like this. It is great for sensitive skin as it does not strip the protective lipid barrier.
This product has now been renamed "Gentle Cleanse & Tone" (at least that is what the bottle in my shower says). This is a lovely Cleanser, gentle & makes my skin feel so soft afterwards. This does not remove makeup - which is fine by me as I rarely wear it. The downside is the cost at $55 for only 100mls! I will likely go back to Antipodes Juliet Cleanser for $39 for twice as much.
Tips: Remove makeup before hand with a Micellar Water & a Cotton pad.
I really like this product but feel the price is a bit much for such a small size cleanser. I keep this one for travel and use another cleanser for my every day. I love that it's NZ made and has natural products but prefer to save my money to spend on serums and moisturisers than on a cleanser.
This inspired something I rarely do.... a post on the brands FB page raving about this product.
I'm another who can't work out why this isn't called what it is - a gentle, balancing, gorgeous cleansing gel.
I picked this up in the 2015 Beautiful Christmas Advent Calendar in a 30 ml size, which disappointingly only lasted a few weeks. For $55 I would have expected it to last longer, but it really just doesn't last long. That's it's one flaw though.
The packaging is gorgeous, and I love the pump dispenser. The product is a soft caramelly shade, and a gel like formula. It managed to clean and balance my face perfectly without lathering, stripping, drying, irritating, breaking out or being harsh in any way, shape or form. It's almost like taking a gel made of your skin, and using it to replace any flaws in what's on your face. Somehow, it just magically renders your facial skin at its best.
There is a soft, pleasant scent that doesn't linger, and my sin was left soft, clean, perfectly balanced, and looking amazing.
I just can't justify $55 every few weeks to achieve that, unfortunately. I would LOVE to be able to use this religiously!
Tips: try and sample it if you're worried about the cost, but I'm not sure how - perhaps ask at a counter?
Maybe I am being an old schooler or just revealing myself to be one of those annoying persons who never read instructions and just dives head first into things, but I do prefer having my cleanser and toner separate, for me a toner is a balancing agent for my combination skin to ensure that my pores are tightened, settling dry areas and absorbing excessive oils.
By the packaging this toner reads as a gentle remineralising toner, so my thoughts were to use as a toner as it doesn't scream "hey I am a cleanser toner" so after washing my face and drying it I popped on this toner onto a cotton wool pad then patted over my skin like I do every day with my regular toner. However I did notice that the texture of it was rather thick and a very off putting beige brown colour. Having a more gel consistency which held it's own form on the pad should of tipped me off that this wasn't a normal toner, but nevertheless onto the skin it went. Leaving a filmy layer over my skin that did absorb a bit.
A few hours later my skin felt really itchy and I was desperate to get my makeup off which was breaking down with oil outbreaks. Finally getting it all off and cleansed my face didn't look red but the itchy feeling was still there. Recounting all products used that day I realised that the only new thing was the toner. This is where I read the instructions. Mix a few drops of the gel with water in your hands to create a foam, smooth over your face and rinse. A cleanser that tones and replenishes the skin. Which really annoyed me, of course it made my skin itch I was walking around all day with a gel cleanser dried on my skin. It really put me off the product and felt a little angry at the product being marketed as a toner when it was in fact a cleanser with toning abilities.
