Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity Vitamin C Facial Wash Review

After hearing so much about Soap & Glory, i knew i had to get my hands on some, and luckily for me i just happened to see this brand at Postie, so i impulsively grabbed what i could and rushed home.

I have to admit, this cleanser does have not the cute packaging the other Soap & Glory items have. Instead it comes in a soft, see through, plastic squeeze tube. I must have got a smaller size because mine did not come in a bottle.

Because the packaging is see through, you can see this cleanser looks like a light green gel which is flecked with bright pink little exfoliating particles, and the product is true to that because when you squeeze it out, it is a thin gel in consistency. I find this smell of this really good, its fresh, and invigorating.. although i do think its smells a little masculine! Still smells good though.

You only need a little of the product to cleanse you entire face, and the exfoliating particles are really gentle, but i personally found they didn't really do a whole lot, and this product would not replace the exfoliating step from my skin care routine. But i have to say, it did not dry my skin out at all which is rare.

This cleanser felt like a tic tac for your face, it leaves your face almost with that minty fresh feeling and i love that. A huge downside to this product is the fact that it uses micro beads, which have huge negative affect on the environment and something I don't support, so for that reason alone i would not buy this cleanser again, even though it is a nice cleanser.

I used to be anti washing my face in the morning but then I got this facial wash and seeing that I am addicted to cleansing my face with oil at night, popped it into the shower to use in the morning.

Design: Coming in a large plastic bottle, see through so that you can see the liquid inside and know where you are in terms of how much you have left before re-purchasing (and I have just repurchased another full size - addictive) Inside the aqua teal coloured liquid has a slightly thick consistency that sees it more as a light gel, studded with pink microbeads. It has a light, subtle fragrance of freshness with no overpowering scent to dominate you.

I apply this in the morning whilst I am waiting on my conditioner to sink into my hair. Giving my face a nice working with my fingertips at the same time sees the gel texture take on a slight foam but nothing that will see you smothered in it's lather. Once rinsed off my face feels so clean and soft that I want to touch it all the time. After just a week of adding this to my skincare I noticed that my pores were reduced, my skin seemed to glow and it was just very hydrated and supple. It seemed to act like a detox to the skin cells.

I thought this would make me break out because it's the opposite of natural skincare which is what I stick to. It didn't make me break out but it didn't really make a difference to my skin either.

I don't like the microbeads but I like how it's made with natural yuzu superfruits.

The smell is very fragrant and it reminds me of men's lynx or body wash. Very odd since Soap and Glorys products are aimed more towards women.

A facial wash is supposed to be refreshing but this doesn't smell like it is.

I really liked this face wash as it smells amazing and really wakes up your skin. You only need a small amount and to me it has a slight creamy formula once you get it wet.

It washes your skin well, really getting into the pores and getting out the dirt and kind of leaves a healthy glow to your skin. The price is great so great for any budget.

The only downside is that it has microbeads in it. I got the small tube of it and although I like it, I wouldn't purchase it because of that fact. If they could find a way to make it without then I would go for it.

If you aren't concerned with microbeads, then this would be the perfect cleansing wash for you.

Purchased this as I was looking to revamp my skincare collection and this was super affordable especially for the size of the bottle! - has a nice non - overpowering scent, and is very refreshing on the skin and is a great way to wake you up a bit more in the morning! haha, but it made me break out on my chin quite badly - so will no longer be using!

I used this product when the soap and glory cleansing milk was out of stock.

While I prefer the cleansing milk this product is pretty amazing and also won’t break the bank.

Leaves skin smooth, feeling refreshed, with a nice not overpowering scent and with the large sized bottle at a cheap price why wouldn’t you try this product.

While it didn’t have the same effect on my skin as cleansing milk it still cleansed my skin perfectly.

Would use again.

This is a pretty decent cleanser. You get a huge bottle and it's relatively inexpensive. The only problem with it coming in such a huge bottle is that I got a bit bored of it by the end!

I enjoy the smell of this product and it did a perfectly good job of removing makeup and cleansing my skin. I do however wonder if the microbeads (apparently enviro friendly ones, don't worry) are a bit too abrasive for my skin. This product also has quite a lather which makes me worried that it may be a bit too drying for sensitive/dry skin types.

Overall, I don't think I will buy this again but I did use the entire bottle! I would be interested in trying some other Soap and Glory skin products next.

As far as value for money and cleansing ability goes, this is a winner. It's a huge bottle. It's so big compared to other brands/cleansers. Love the scent - it's like a minty-fruity smell. Really refreshing - great morning wakeup.

I alternate this cleanser with their cream cleanser in the evening, preferring this one in the morning. It lathers easily - you need only the tiniest amount, and it cleanses and exfoliates nicely, without drying out the skin.

I wondered if this might have been a little too harsh for my skin type which is combination - Normal/Dry, but it so far has been fantastic (about 6 weeks use). I've also been trying to balance out issues with sensitivity to products and this one seemed to help clear the breakouts I'm experiencing.

I wouldn't use it twice a day, but for the price and performance I like it, and better still I don't get grumpy with my hubby also using it - win-win.

Just purchased one so have used roughly 5,6 times very reasonably priced for a vitamin c cleanser and i have to say I like it, it has a good amount of suds, feels great on the skin, a cooling effect and has a nice gel like consistency, I didnt really notice the microbeads when applying.

I purchased this 3 weeks ago from Mecca. I think this does a fantastic job - it’s a massive bottle and off the top of my head, was around the $16 mark. So amazing value for money AND I worked great for me. It removes all my make up - I’m not a heavy make up wearer. I literally mix BB cream with my moisturiser, use bronzer, concealer, eyebrows and mascara and it all comes off. Even my waterproof mascara. My skin feels completely cleansed without feeling dry or crepey. I do have combination/oily skin. Overall I really enjoy this product and I am definitely buying again
