A delicious scrub that smells of fuzzy apricots & helps reduce breakouts before they even occur. Made with 100% natural exfoliants (like crushed walnut shell powder) for a gentle, deep cleanse.

Apricot scrub

I used to love a real good harsh scrub when I was younger - felt like I was getting a really good clean and getting rid of all the impurities. But as I have grown older and my skin is less forgiving, I need to go a bit gentler on my face. This product is way less gritty and rough than the original Apricot Scrub, but still gives a good deep scrub when you need one. Just not every day! Still has that delicious apricot smell too. Also, really good for getting rid of any rough skin elsewhere on the body e.g. elbows etc.

Tips: Use every now and then - not every day.

Good

Love using this product leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth. Cleaning my pores and scrubbing away dead skin too. This is great for teenagers as it is easy to use in or out of the shower and when you don’t have much time.

Tips: A little bit goes a long way figure out how much you need then it will last longer.

Smoothing, but stripping.

This scrub not only feels wonderful while using it, but it honestly does make your skin feel HEAVENLY after use - so smooth and blemish free! However, it is a very drying product and tends to strip your skin of its natural oils, so be careful in regards to how often you use it.

Tips: Use this scrub once per week (particularly if you have sensitve skin), and follow up with a good moisturiser!

Great but not for sensitive skin

Fantastic if you want a good face cleaning but not if you have sensitive skin or just was a product that is gentle on the skin.

St.Ives Blemish Control Scrub

Before reviewing this product i had already heard good review regarding the scrub. I do suffer from break outs most of the time and i can defiantly see after a week these have decreased. The scrub does feel gentle on your skin and did not react with mine at all, sometimes my skin can be sensitive to products. I will defiantly keep using this product and my partner also tried it as he gets the odd break out and he also enjoyed it and saw it did help his skin

Tips: It does have little micro beads in it that can be a mission to get off sometimes, so if you are not a fan of this i would not recommend. I would say to try leave it to soak in for a good minute and scrub into your face.

Good product

I've been using this for a year. It does the job in blemish control. I had breakouts at first because I was not using it properly but now the product is suiting my skin well. Be careful in using it, wash your face with it ONCE A WEEK.

Tips: Use it once a week and scrub your face lightly

Lovely fresh feeling.

I was super happy to be selected for the review team for this, and now Ive discovered a product that I will keep purchasing - The St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub. The packaging is fairly attractive. I particularily liked the scent of the product, although it certainley doesnt smell like any Apricot I have ever smelled. Application is easy - just a small quirt onto the hand - no pumps, just squeeze the tube. The product itself is creamy, with small beads of what I assume to be Apricot Shell/Walnut shell. I tried it both in the shower, and in the basin. Perfect for use in the shower, a little trickier when rinsing your face in the basin as its hard to get rid of all the little bits of kernel. It goes on very easily, is pleasant feeling to scrub with (even though it is a deep scrub, its isnt painful on the skin), and washes away leaving your face feeling clean, but not dried out. Does it do what it says? Hard to know. Generally my skin is feeling cleaner and lighter, and possibly a little "glowier" than it did before I started using it, although it has only been a week or so. Certainly I intend to keep using it.

Tips: Easier to use in the shower than in the sink.

Worked great on my sensitive skin

When I was requested to do a product review I was quite worried about the salicylic acid. The skin on my face is highly sensitive. It is usually combination but lately it has been quite oily.

I used this product every second night following the instructions on the back of the product. i 'scrubbed' my face gently for about 1 minute before rinsing it off. It left my skin feeling smooth and clean. It has been helping combat small acne areas around my chin and jawline After about 2-3 uses I noticed a difference in the amount of acne on my face.

The smell is definitely apricot with hints of a creamy moisturiser smell which is quite pleasant.

I have never really been a fan of face scrubs as it usually dries my skin out far too much and cause my face to feel a burning sensation when applied and cause my face to become bright red after washing off. This apricot scrub was amazing. I had a slight red tinge to my face which I think Is normal after using a scrub product.

At 150mls this would last a long time as I only used between a teaspoon and tablespoon of product each time.

I have already recommended this product to some family and friends and will definitely be buying more after this has run out.

Tips: i used a wet washcloth to remove scrub. Seemed easier to remove all of the scrub off my face.

All time favourite scrub

I have been using this scrub for many many years, definitely my favourite product to exfoliate my face. I have quite sensitive skin but this scrub has never caused a reaction, only thing is which is a problem I have with a lot of exfoliators is that sometimes my nose isn't as smooth as I used to be able to get it, I just follow up with a cleanser to solve this. The formula is quite gritty so try not to scrub too hard! A pleasant smell which is quite fruity though I cant' pinpoint exact scent. The packaging is practical and easily identifiable, easy to cut open to get the last little bits if you haven't had time to repurchase. The scrub is affordable and lasts for ages, considering 2-3 of us use multiple times a week it always surprises me how long it lasts which is great for the price which you can pick up on special at the supermarket or The Warehouse. Love this product!

Tips: Steam or face or use in the shower to get a deep clean.

Old reliable

I keep going back to this scrub! I’m forever trying others but they either dry my skin out or my skin goes bright red or they just don’t do much. This keeps my blackheads and bumps under control but doesn’t make my skin flaky and patchy. Quite a mild scent which thankfully doesn’t smell particularly like apricot as the name might suggest!

Tips: Look for it on sale at the supermarket and it’s usually only about 8 bucks!
