I used to love a real good harsh scrub when I was younger - felt like I was getting a really good clean and getting rid of all the impurities. But as I have grown older and my skin is less forgiving, I need to go a bit gentler on my face. This product is way less gritty and rough than the original Apricot Scrub, but still gives a good deep scrub when you need one. Just not every day! Still has that delicious apricot smell too. Also, really good for getting rid of any rough skin elsewhere on the body e.g. elbows etc.

St. Ives Blemish Control Scrub Review
A delicious scrub that smells of fuzzy apricots & helps reduce breakouts before they even occur. Made with 100% natural exfoliants (like crushed walnut shell powder) for a gentle, deep cleanse.

Tips: Use every now and then - not every day.
Love using this product leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth. Cleaning my pores and scrubbing away dead skin too. This is great for teenagers as it is easy to use in or out of the shower and when you don’t have much time.
Tips: A little bit goes a long way figure out how much you need then it will last longer.
This scrub not only feels wonderful while using it, but it honestly does make your skin feel HEAVENLY after use - so smooth and blemish free! However, it is a very drying product and tends to strip your skin of its natural oils, so be careful in regards to how often you use it.
Tips: Use this scrub once per week (particularly if you have sensitve skin), and follow up with a good moisturiser!
Fantastic if you want a good face cleaning but not if you have sensitive skin or just was a product that is gentle on the skin.
The packaging is great, nice and clear to read and a decent size bottle! Smells fruity and wasn't too strong. I used the product every second day and found it left my skin quite smooth but I definitely needed to moisturise straight away. I didn't find it helped my skin too much and would probably only buy again if I couldn't find another scrub the same strength.
It's not too gritty, but enough to exfoliate almost daily. My skin is combination and I found I wasn't so oily throughout the day, but for me it was quite drying, so I would definitely recommend using 2-3 times per week only.
Tips: Use in the shower as the beads wash off far more easy than over the sink.
The Scrub comes in a tub container, with 150ml of the scrub in it. This was my first time using a scrub as I'm more used to Clean & Clear Facial Cleanser. The scrub make my face feel soft and look awake, the smell of apricot helped to achieve it. I used the amount that would fit the tip of my forefinger so the scrub would last a while.
Tips: I found it easier to wash off in the shower than the sink.
A nice product and has the added benefit of fighting blemishes. I think it did a good job of helping with breakouts and skin feels so smooth and soft afterwards. I probably wouldn't use this anymore as my skin can get a little too dried out from it, but I think it would be fine if I just used it from time to time. When I needed to help with breakouts it absolutely helped keep them at bay so great if that is your main focus!
Tips: Great to keep in the shower!
I thought this was a good scrub but any acne fighting ability was pretty lost on me. In general St. Ives are well known for their apricot scrub and I love the fact that they use 100% natural exfoliants instead of those nasty beads that are so bad for our ecosystem. There isn't a strong smell on this one and in terms of effectiveness, I thought it did the job well and didn't leave my skin too dry. However I've been using this during a time where I have more breakouts than usual, and I didn't feel that this did an amazing job at keeping pesky pimples at bay. I would say however that after using this, my skin would feel super smooth and a good canvas for the rest of your skin care routine. Overall I would purchase this again should I need a physical scrub.
Tips: If you have dry skin like me, limit usage to 2-3 times a week, otherwise you could be aggravating your skin. Always use a moisturiser after using a scrub to put back any moisture lost during the process.
This keeps re appearing I am sure it has been featured before I first saw it when I was about 12. Back then I used it and it was super harsh I think because the exfoliant granules were sharp but they have since changed the packaging and formulas. I have tried several of these and I like them because the exfoliant granules are natural making it good the for environment and my skin always feels so nice and smooth and clean following the use of this. would re buy.
This may not be my favourite scrub, but have been using it for awhile. It's good for your old mate the stubborn blackheads! This is why I still use it!
