Love how these smell, but they don't moisturise my skin well. They can be quite liquid-y in consistency, and the pump-bottle mean that I seem to leave quite a lot of product behind in the bottle. The pricing is good and I end up going back to this in the warmer months when I don't need as much hydration.

I started using this brand of moisturiser when I was 18 and have done so until a couple of years ago. This moisturiser is great value for money and lasts a very long time. A great quick fix for dry skin, used mostly on my legs so cannot comment on other parts of the body. I have sensitive skin so using this straight after shaving my legs did not cause a reaction. After being more adventurous with my moisturisers I would say it is a product that moisturisers but doesn't really have the x factor.
Tips: Use for general areas like legs for quick moisturisers Affordable and goes a long way.
It's ok for a lotion and basically when I bought this I was like its gonna smell nice and it did a little but sometimes I got sick of the smell to be honest. It was a good moisturising lotion for the price and I wouldn't of used it but I bought it so I just used it all up and never got it again. But it's good for $10 and another lotion around the same would be nivea body lotion.
For me, it was the size of the bottle and the fact that it had a pump. 620mls is a huge bottle and it really did last an age. The price point is also attractive, so I couldnt pass it up, there was a lot going for it. I purchased the Vitamin E one as I can have quite dry skin on my legs. I used it after my shower as this is when moisturizer is best absorbed, and I found it ok. My legs stayed moisturised most of the day but I have had better results from other products. I wasnttaken with the ffragrance either.
Overall, this is quite a good moisturizer and it seemed to work ok, but it just wasnt a favourite of mine.
I have used this product in the past and it does a good job, it leaves a velvety finish and doesn't feel oily. It has the right consistency in texture where it's not too runny or too thick. I find that having the pump bottle is very handy and dispenses a good amount of product from one pump where i can easily cover my leg in one go without being left with too much or to little that i need another pump. The bottle size is very generous so it lasts longer and has a nice curved shape in the side making it easier to hold without sliding through your fingers. But I recently got put off using this product because a friend of mine read somewhere that it's not a good brand to use in the long run (consistent use over a long period of time). I don't know if this is true or not but better safe then sorry right? Which is a shame because I do really enjoy using this product.
This used to be a regular purchase in our household. Great value for money, and an overall great moisturizer. But since trying other lotions, (aveeno being the main one) we've stopped buying it. Now I'm very weary of what I put on my skin and I don't think I would use St Ives (as well as a few other brands) again. It's a great product but it's just not my preference anymore.
I bought the DAILY HYDRATING VITAMIN E from the supermarket as it was on special ($7.99 for such a big bottle seemed like a bargain to me!) and I have been looking for a new, rich moisturiser as my skin is very dry at the moment.
The consistency is THICK. As in, so thick it's hard to get out of the bottle let alone try using the pump. Once I managed to get some out, it seemed pretty good and I slathered it all over. However, less than half an hour later my skin felt tight, dry and itchy so I went back to the bathroom for a second coat! I have been using this for a couple of weeks, and although it claims to improve your skin over time, my skin is just as dry as it was before using this.
When the bottle is finished, I don't think I will be buying this again.
I Purchased the green label 1litre vitamin e type of this awhile ago always attracted to big bottles with a pump which are awesome and last forever so I love the size and convenience of the packaging.
The product itself I found left my skin a bit greasy not too bad but more than other products I've used.
I Wasn't a fan of the smell at all it just didn't do it for me at all defiantly will not repurchase for this reason and I also didn't finish the bottle.
My body skin type is quite dry and I didn't see any miraculous results that changed this. So just a ok product.
I have used the vitamin e moisturiser and while it was fast absorbing, I did not find that it moisturised my skin as much as other brands that I have tried. My skin needs a richer moisturiser as it is a bit more hydrated and dry so this didn't really meet my needs as much as it might others. It is a big bottle and value for money though.
I have had this moisturizer for so long and have only just used it up. Part of the reason I hadn't used it up fast enough was the pump.
The pump, is a genius idea, but the product is too thick. With each pump, I got less and less product on my hand, and I used about 4-5 pumps for my body. So that was annoying. And about 1/4 of the product was stuck in the bottom of the massive bottle, because the pump somehow pushed it away and made a well around itself, so the product wouldn't go up.
The smell, while not overpowering, got boring after a while. I'll admit it was nice at first but after using it everyday it got just... boring. Nothing was exciting enough for me to want to write home about it, and nothing will make me remember how amazing it was.
I will say though, it absorbed really quickly and that's always a plus. Otherwise, I don't see myself repurchasing this product, which is a shame. Maybe a different smell would be better? Or perhaps this stuff just isn't for me :-)
