I Purchased the green label 1litre vitamin e type of this awhile ago always attracted to big bottles with a pump which are awesome and last forever so I love the size and convenience of the packaging.
The product itself I found left my skin a bit greasy not too bad but more than other products I've used.
I Wasn't a fan of the smell at all it just didn't do it for me at all defiantly will not repurchase for this reason and I also didn't finish the bottle.
My body skin type is quite dry and I didn't see any miraculous results that changed this. So just a ok product.
I have used the vitamin e moisturiser and while it was fast absorbing, I did not find that it moisturised my skin as much as other brands that I have tried. My skin needs a richer moisturiser as it is a bit more hydrated and dry so this didn't really meet my needs as much as it might others. It is a big bottle and value for money though.
This used to be a regular purchase in our household. Great value for money, and an overall great moisturizer. But since trying other lotions, (aveeno being the main one) we've stopped buying it. Now I'm very weary of what I put on my skin and I don't think I would use St Ives (as well as a few other brands) again. It's a great product but it's just not my preference anymore.
I bought the DAILY HYDRATING VITAMIN E from the supermarket as it was on special ($7.99 for such a big bottle seemed like a bargain to me!) and I have been looking for a new, rich moisturiser as my skin is very dry at the moment.
The consistency is THICK. As in, so thick it's hard to get out of the bottle let alone try using the pump. Once I managed to get some out, it seemed pretty good and I slathered it all over. However, less than half an hour later my skin felt tight, dry and itchy so I went back to the bathroom for a second coat! I have been using this for a couple of weeks, and although it claims to improve your skin over time, my skin is just as dry as it was before using this.
When the bottle is finished, I don't think I will be buying this again.
I have used this product in the past and it does a good job, it leaves a velvety finish and doesn't feel oily. It has the right consistency in texture where it's not too runny or too thick. I find that having the pump bottle is very handy and dispenses a good amount of product from one pump where i can easily cover my leg in one go without being left with too much or to little that i need another pump. The bottle size is very generous so it lasts longer and has a nice curved shape in the side making it easier to hold without sliding through your fingers. But I recently got put off using this product because a friend of mine read somewhere that it's not a good brand to use in the long run (consistent use over a long period of time). I don't know if this is true or not but better safe then sorry right? Which is a shame because I do really enjoy using this product.
This was the first body lotion I bought when I first arrived they had a big bottle for about $4 and since I didn't have much I went for it. It was pretty good. Smelt nice and didn't irritate my skin the only reason why I switched to Aveeno is because the EWG gave it a better rating. But if you're interested in a cheap body lotion with fewer nasty ingredients I would recommend this. My flatmate uses the Vitamin E one and he's into healthy stuff, though it's mostly food wise.
I always used to get the hydrating moisturiser, and it was really good for my skin! It was smooth and absorbed quite good. When I used it, I use to have eczema on my legs, and this product really helped to treat it.
There was only one problem though, and that was the smell. It smelled really processed and not very nice at all. Thankfully, the smell would go away after a few minutes. However, the smell did not make for a very nice application.
Overall, this is a stunning product, with it's only and biggest downfall being the smell.
Tips: You really can't go wrong with this to be honest!
This is pretty much your standard moisturizer, it does the job, but not much more. If you're looking for your standard cream, go for it, its great. Just don't expect miracles
My mum always has a bottle of St. Ives on her dresser and when I ask her why she always says, “Because it’s cheap.” And it is. I have really dry skin that will actually begin to flake and crack if I don’t keep it moisturised (maybe I should drink more water!). I never found any relief using St. Ives. Sure, they smell good, and there’s so much in a bottle that it’ll last you ages, but when your skin needs attention, I feel like you need to give it something else. Some people really love these moisturisers, and that’s fine. My mum genuinely enjoys applying hers day and night, it’s become her routine. I’ll stick to mine :p
