Blackheads have been a constant battle with me over the years and as I get older my pores seem to be getting bigger and the battle rages on, so you can bet I jumped at the chance to trial this product
Firstly who doesn't love a good face scrub as part of their skin care routine, but finding one gentle enough while also being effective has been a challenge, but St Ives may have just done that.
I love the texture of this, it has very fine granules unlike the St Ives Apricot scrub, so I dare to say you could use this everyday if you tend to wear a lot of heavy makeup. I found because of the smaller particles it does a better job of tackling the dirt stuck in your pores, getting into those little groves around the Blackhead, instead of rubbing over it.
The scent is lovely and fresh, but it is powerful, so be aware if you dislike anything really scented close to your nose. It comes in a handy squeeze tube that stands up on its lid, so perfect for in the shower, and less waste with the product always pooling at its lid.
For around $10 I think this is a fantastic product to help fight the army of Blackheads.
I was excited to be given the opportunity to try this as after having my second daughter 4 months ago my skin has been awful!! Oily then dry, sensitive and red, black heads galore! Oh the joys of motherhood! I've used this every second day since receiving it and I quite like it so far. It has a very pleasant scent and nice thick, green texture. The scrub itself is very gentle on the skin and I found I had to grind it in a bit to get the desired "scrub" feeling I wanted as it isn't very gritty. In saying that, it is a lovely gentle scrub which is nice if you're like me and end up with bright red blotchy skin after exfoliating. After a week of use my skin does look clearer and the black heads on my chin in particular are a lot less noticeable, I still have blackheads, however this product has definitely helped reduce them and unclog my pores.
