the feel of the scrub while using is very gentile especially for my sensitive skin and after using it my face feels absolutely refreshed and i notice that it clears my redness of my pimple scar. the scrub claims to clear blackheads however i only noticed the effects after 3 weeks of using the scrub.

St. Ives Green Tea Blackhead Clearing Scrub Review
Green tea packs a punch in this derma-tested, blackhead-tackling scrub. It’s got those good guys – antioxidants and it’s moderately exfoliating too, helping to target blackheads, unclog pores and calms redness, for a more even skin tone. It also contains olive leaf extract which the Egyptians saw as a symbol of heavenly power. And who’d argue with that?

Tips: I would recommend to not vigorously rub the scrub on your face because it does cause a lot of irritation but rather to genitally and softly rub on your face and after washing off, dab the towel around your face rather than rubbing to avoid irritation
I had a really good experience with this cleansing scrub! It looks like a very deep green paste, but it's so satisfying to rub it into your skin and feel the grittiness as if it was scrubbing everything away.
I had a huge pimple during the time I was trying it, and just one scrub made it instantly look less red that day, and then go the next day. I've never had anything work so well, so I'm really impressed. I only used a small bit about the size of a pea, and it was more than enough, so such a large tube is bound to last plenty of uses too.
My only bone to pick is that it has a very strong fragrance and it is very overpowering. Just placing it in a room makes the whole room smell of it. As a result, when scrubbing on your face, the smell does get overwhelming like a very strong perfume.
However, for such a good scrub for clearing and reducing red of blackheads and pimples, it is so worth it! If they made the fragrance more subtle, and maybe the cleanser more translucent so it's pretty, this would easily be 5 stars.
Tips: Just be careful to use it only 2-3 times a week as it suggests, as it can be really drying on the skin otherwise. Also use a cloth to help rinse as the granules are very fine and can get in your eyes.
The packaging on mine is a bit different but I'm sure it's the same. I like the texture of this scrub it's abrasive enough to remove dead skin but also fine enough that it doesn't feel like a gel with beads like some other products that dont evenly remove dry skin. It smells nice and my skin feels super smooth afterwards. You only need a small amount it goes far. Definitely a favourite this one. As far as removing blackheads it does a fair job but to be honest no product I have tried actually delivers 100% on this.
I was excited to be given the opportunity to try this as after having my second daughter 4 months ago my skin has been awful!! Oily then dry, sensitive and red, black heads galore! Oh the joys of motherhood! I've used this every second day since receiving it and I quite like it so far. It has a very pleasant scent and nice thick, green texture. The scrub itself is very gentle on the skin and I found I had to grind it in a bit to get the desired "scrub" feeling I wanted as it isn't very gritty. In saying that, it is a lovely gentle scrub which is nice if you're like me and end up with bright red blotchy skin after exfoliating. After a week of use my skin does look clearer and the black heads on my chin in particular are a lot less noticeable, I still have blackheads, however this product has definitely helped reduce them and unclog my pores.
Blackheads have been a constant battle with me over the years and as I get older my pores seem to be getting bigger and the battle rages on, so you can bet I jumped at the chance to trial this product
Firstly who doesn't love a good face scrub as part of their skin care routine, but finding one gentle enough while also being effective has been a challenge, but St Ives may have just done that.
I love the texture of this, it has very fine granules unlike the St Ives Apricot scrub, so I dare to say you could use this everyday if you tend to wear a lot of heavy makeup. I found because of the smaller particles it does a better job of tackling the dirt stuck in your pores, getting into those little groves around the Blackhead, instead of rubbing over it.
The scent is lovely and fresh, but it is powerful, so be aware if you dislike anything really scented close to your nose. It comes in a handy squeeze tube that stands up on its lid, so perfect for in the shower, and less waste with the product always pooling at its lid.
For around $10 I think this is a fantastic product to help fight the army of Blackheads.
Tips: This is not a miracle cure to Blackheads, it will take time to see results, but with regular use you will see a noticeable difference.
i really enjoyed this product, i've heard mixed reviews regarding the St. Ives range so wasn't sure what to expect honestly. I liked the packaging of it, it was sleek and easy to use, the product itself worked really well! it wasn't to rough on the skin, which is great personally as a lot of exfoliant products rub my skin red and raw, this one didn't, yet still managed to remove dirt and make my face feel clean and new - so am very impressed! washes off well, no strong scent, am very impressed and will continue to use and most likely repurchase!
Tips: A little goes a long way
St Ives is probably most famous for it's apricot face scrub, which is such a good product! This green tea version is a step down in terms of 'scrubbiness", it's much more gentle and less gritty. It is supposed to be blackhead clearing and I'm not sure if I've seen that yet (although my blackheads are very small anyway). This is definitely one that I'll keep buying as it leaves my skin feeling really soft and clear.
This is such a nice face scrub. It has a wonderful light green tea scent which I love, and is a very gentle scrub. I didn’t notice a huge difference in my blackheads, but I’d say it did help my skin texture overall.
Tips: Even though it’s gentle, scrubs shouldn’t be used every day!
This product first of all has a really nice scent, so you definitely won't be turned away by that! I think that it definitely exfoliates my face without causing it to go red like some other products can, but it didn't do much for my black heads or pores I felt.
It also left my skin feeling soft but dehydrated, and the morning after my skin definitely felt dry which I've never had a issue with before.
Overall, I will continue to use the rest of this product as my makeup does sit on my face a bit nicer now with the sense that it exfoliates and does clean your skin but I don't think I will repurchase the product once I finish this bottle just because of the dryness :) other than that it is a great product!
I've used the St Ives apricot scrub alot in the past so I was really keen to try this one when I saw it in the beauty vault. The packaging is a white squeezy tube with green writing, a picture of green tea leaves and the St Ives brand name at the top. The scrub is a green paste that smells really refreshing. The texture is quite smooth with just a little bit of grit so it's quite gentle on my face. I've been using it 2-3 times a week and I'm really liking it, it leaves my skin soft and refreshed everytime. I didn't notice it clearing my blackheads, although I don't really get alot of them anyway and it didn't calm any redness but I would definitely keep buying this one because of the smell and how it leaves my face feeling, it does really clean it well.
