It’s admittedly been years since I’ve tried fake tan, but I did enjoy this product. I have really pale sensitive skin, so fake tan always makes me a bit nervous.
The first time I used this product (I’ve been trying it on my legs only for now), I sprayed it way too close to my legs and definitely did not buff it in enough with my mitt. It was hard to tell that I’d done a rubbish job because this product is colourless. The result was not great (patchy) but this was definitely due to my shoddy use. Just keep in mind it pays to read and follow instructions!!
The second time I used this product was much more successful. I exfoliated the remnants of the last tan off and then tried again. I sprayed the tan in sweeping motions starting from the bottom of my legs first. I did half a leg at a time and used the St Tropez velvet mitt to buff the product in. To do both my legs took about five minutes. I went to bed and woke up with a lovely tan! This time, the tan was even and I was really happy with how natural it looked.
The tan itself is a nice colour on me and not orangey. It faded gradually and evenly. The tan does have some of that typical fake tan smell, but nothing offensive. I didn’t notice the tropical scent the tan is supposed to have, but I’m not big in fragrance so that’s fine by me.
Because this tan goes on colourless, I didn’t have to worry about staining anything. The tan also dries quickly (it’s consistently is literally like water). There is no sticky feeling or anything like that.
This product is vegan and continues mostly natural ingredients which is nice for anything you’re putting on your skin! As I’ve said, I have sensitive skin but this product didn’t cause any irritation for me.
Finally, I think it’s important to point out that St Tropez is cruelty free and the bottle is made from recycled plastic and is recyclable. If that is important to you (it is to me) and you’re interested in fake tan, I would definitely recommend this product (just make sure you get a mitt too!). I’ll be using this product again for sure.

Easy application with the mist spray bottle Natural-looking tan that gradually builds up over time Nourishing vitamins that make skin feel soft and healthy No streaks or patches Long-lasting color that lasts for days Great for self-tan newbies who want a foolproof option
Dislikes: Slight self-tanner scent, but not overpowering Mist can be a little messy if not used carefully May need to use more product for a deeper color, but can be cost-effective in the long run with gradual build-up
Overall, the St Tropez Purity Vitamins Body Mist is a great option for anyone who wants a natural-looking, gradual tan, especially through the winter months. It's more natural looking than the full on fake tan.
