St. Tropez Purity Vitamins Face Serum

First impression, the packaging is appealing in colour, but very hard to read the small wording due to the colour mixes. I like the lock on the pump so that it doesn't get spilt if you are transporting it.

My skin routine is a bit sporadic. I'm good at the night stuff, but not so good in the morning, and that's where I felt this should fit in, so I put it on before my moisturiser. I was surprised by how light it was - watching it glug around in the little bottle I thought it looked like it might be a bit sticky, but it was light and absorbed really well. I can be pretty sensitive to strong smells, when I put it on I thought the "tropical" smell was going to get to me, but it wasn't too bad. It did sort of fade to a definite fake take type of smell. I was quite sparse with application the first time as I didn't want to look like a carrot, which has happened before using face tanner. But I was pleasantly surprised by the soft glow it gave me. I think you could build it, but if I went too much more I would have to change my foundation. The main bonus for me was that it didn't break me out, I was waiting for my skin to put up a protest, but it didn't. Definitely something I would like to keep on hand, but for the price point and 6 month suggested use by I'm not sure if I will use it enough. I'm glad I get to keep testing it over winter for a couple of events I have coming up.

I don’t think I’ve ever tried a face tan before, but I enjoy this product!

For context I have sensitive and very pale skin on the drier side.

The first time I used it I used two pumps of product which I think is too much for me. I didn’t blend the serum down my neck which was silly, and I didn’t blend it into my hairline. The next day I woke up with a pretty decent tan (a good couple shades darker) but as you can imagine from my bad application, it didn’t look terribly blended.

The next time I applied this product, I used just one pump and I made sure to blend properly down my neck and into my hairline. The result was great - just a subtle glowy tan, totally natural looking. The tan faded evenly and nicely over a few days without reapplication.

The product is really lightweight. It’s maybe a touch sticky when you put it on, but that disappears quickly. There is a slight fake tan smell but again that disappears quickly.

If you applied one pump of this two or so times a week, I think you’d maintain a really healthy glowy tan.

Because you only need a pump at a time, one bottle would last for ages.

This product didn’t irritate my sensitive skin in any way which is definitely a plus!

All St Tropez products are cruelty free and this bottle is recyclable/made from recyclable plastic (another plus!).

I would use this product again. I plan on using it around once a week throughout winter to give myself a bit of a healthy glow.

Love this! I mixed this serum with a little bit of moisturiser for a light tint and a more natural look, and the colour was perfect for me.

The serum has provided such a nice glow coming into Autumn. It left my skin feeling nice and soft with a clear glowy complexion and I did not experience any break outs. The smell was a nice subtle tropical scent, great coming into Autumn. Definitely a great product to use both over summer and winter and the other seasons in between! I did love how hydrating it was, and my skin did not experience dryness at all either.

The bottle is going to last me a decent amount of time too!

This was amazing to use I loved the simple bottle pumped out nicely and nice soft as silk application the glow it gives your skin is just amazing made me fresh and ready to go I only had to apply a small amount so the bottle will last quite a while I will definitely be using this from now on as my skin ages this gives it the bounce colour and glow I've been chasing to get back for awhile now

St Tropez self tan purity vitamins serum for face. So… I was already tanned when I got home , to my products waiting , as I had been on an unexpected holiday for 10 days !!!( yes I was so excited and lucky !) but what was lovely was I started using the face serum a couple of days post holiday , & it’s kept me with a lovely subtle glow on my face and still looking like I’ve just come back from holiday! And it’s been over a week now . So we all Mostly love that feeling! One thing to mention , is I do have very sensitive skin , that’s seems to hassle me extra ways with menopause…yawn yawn ! BUT I didn’t have ANY reaction in any negative way , so that was awesome people with sensitive skins I would highly recommend this. Of course do a patch test first though- i also highly recommend this to people who would prefer to tan gradually , and build up the colour you love , than doing a full deeper colour overnight as a lot of tans do ,especially nice on your face. It has a really subtle smell and feel like I can smell a tiny bit of “holiday in the tropics “smell. And my hubby said the same when he kissed my face! I also Like that It dries really nicely on my skin, and was no problem I found , after fully drying my face , I could Layer another layer , or some evening moisturiser ( not too heavy a layer ) on later in the evening if you felt like it. I am always dry these days woth “mature skin “ again yawn yawn , but also from my travels too. I think it would be awesome to take on a holiday with you. I just didn’t get mine in time.

I got this product from the beauty vault thinking it was a serum. I've had it for ages and last weekend I was running late early in the morning and pulled it out of a drawer and quickly rubbed some on before going to work. Early in the afternoon I looked in the mirror-gulp! I looked like I had slapped on foundation in the dark. Ooops.

So, the product comes in a cute spray bottle and the product sprays out in thick globs. It has a strong scent, a bit like apricot, that is ok. I learned from my first mistake to take my time and spread it evenly on my face and neck, and take it right around my hairline. It does give me a nice subtle glow and now that I've used it several times and have figured out how to use it, I like it a lot. My boss commented on my glowing skin when she saw me earlier this week so that was a great recommendation for the product. I have very pale skin so a light glow makes me look healthier. It sits easily under some BB cream or tinted moisturiser to lift the colour. It only really lasted 24 hours but that's ok too, as it's easy to reapply as long as you don't mind waiting a few hours for the colour to appear. It works as well if applied at night and I haven't noticed any staining on anything. I figured out its better for me not to add anything on top of it until the colour has come out. It is quite moisurising on its own anyway.

A cool product and fun to try.

As a fair person who tends to go yellow from most tanning products, I was a bit skeptical to use the St. Tropez Purity Vitamins Face Serum, but I quickly learned that there was nothing to worry about!!! I would describe this as a smooth, gently fragranced serum that is a light and easily absorbed into the skin. I used 2 pumps for my entire face, it glides on seamlessly and leaves your skin feeling beautifully soft, after 6-8 hours a light, natural looking colour develop, no yellowing and no blotchiness.

I wasn’t really sure how this serum would go for me, I’m very pale and sometimes tan can look very fake but this gave me such a gorgeous healthy glow after only one use. It was nice to the touch, went on beautifully without being sticky or oily. The smell was pleasant (not like tan at all) and it made my skin feel lovely and soft. The colour is subtle, and I think this will be perfect for getting me through winter without looking like a sickly Victorian child, and to top up my natural glow in summer. The size is good and will last ages as a little goes a long way. The rrp was a little concerning at the start but when I thought of it as a skin product and not a tanning product I definitely would purchase for the price. No need for brushes or sponges with this either as it goes on perfectly with your hands. Just be sure to wash the residue off your hands after application!

Thank you Beauty Review for this trial. I really appreciate it. This is a product I have never used before so I was super interested in trying it. I was nervous and excited about using this serum because you have to be ultra careful when applying this, as it is your face and everyone will see if you are not too careful when applying. I used the mitt from the same brand to apply this serum to my face. I found it went on smoothly and evenly. I applied it in a certain way to ensure my whole face was covered. I applied some to the part of my neck that always has a light patch from when I have been driving into the sun. I was most impressed with the coverage. I felt I did a great job to get a nice even coverage. After applying, the colour develops over a 4 - 8 hour period. My skin felt soft and had a gorgeous healthy glow that has been missing due to our lack of a real summer this year. There were a couple of days that I actually went withiut a lot of make up. I was very impressed with the ingredients, 93% naturally derived ingredients and a lovely subtle scent. It is also vegan and cruelty free. The bottle is also recycled.
