St. Tropez Purity Vitamins Face Serum

I read the mixed reviews decided to give it a try as results aren't same for everyone. I missed out on this trial. Firstly, there were no application instructions on my bottle so I had to Google how to apply which was disappointing. I used serum with & without moisturiser but felt it applied best with moisturiser but not sure the result was better doing it this way.

Disappointed with the colour it just wasn't dark enough, gave me a slight glow which is not what I was hoping for. Infact, it made my face look dirty.

I applied 2 pumps to my face, neck & declotage in the morn then eve mainly to build up a bit of colour but I was disappointed with end result. It didn't last long either, cleansing & toning face, morn & eve it only.lasted couple of days. It did irritate my skin, it felt a bit itchy but that happens with all tanning Products I apply to my face. It didn't break me out which was great! I felt it was way overpriced for what it is. Serum is a nice consistency and mixed well with my moisturiser. Smells ok not offensive like some self tanners.

Eventhough I washed my hands I didn't worry too much about brown hands as it doesn't tan much anyway. I will find an alternative which is a shame as I really like the St Tropez Express Tanning Mousse

I like the premise of this product, the serum is nice and smooth and give my skin a glow - the directions are fine print and quite hard to read which was a bit annoying, when I'm putting something on my face I like to know what I'm doing! The serum is light on the skin, not heavy at all and had a pleasant fragrance. I found the tan from it to be subtle but I did find it grabbed on even slightly dry patches. Also the tan in the serum developed slightly darker than the body tan which was not ideal, mixing with moisturizer achieved a smoother more even result. I feel that practice makes perfect with this product and I will possibly grow to like it more as I continue to use it, these comments are based on my first and second experience.

I got this product from the beauty vault thinking it was a serum. I've had it for ages and last weekend I was running late early in the morning and pulled it out of a drawer and quickly rubbed some on before going to work. Early in the afternoon I looked in the mirror-gulp! I looked like I had slapped on foundation in the dark. Ooops.

So, the product comes in a cute spray bottle and the product sprays out in thick globs. It has a strong scent, a bit like apricot, that is ok. I learned from my first mistake to take my time and spread it evenly on my face and neck, and take it right around my hairline. It does give me a nice subtle glow and now that I've used it several times and have figured out how to use it, I like it a lot. My boss commented on my glowing skin when she saw me earlier this week so that was a great recommendation for the product. I have very pale skin so a light glow makes me look healthier. It sits easily under some BB cream or tinted moisturiser to lift the colour. It only really lasted 24 hours but that's ok too, as it's easy to reapply as long as you don't mind waiting a few hours for the colour to appear. It works as well if applied at night and I haven't noticed any staining on anything. I figured out its better for me not to add anything on top of it until the colour has come out. It is quite moisurising on its own anyway.

A cool product and fun to try.

I’ll be honest I don’t normally self tan a hell of a lot, but found the serum really nice and a little goes a long way. Made my skin feel quite hydrated too. It developed over the day where I was actually completed if I had been out in the sun lately because of my ‘glow’. I know it’s not suited to even skin type but mine is normally quite dry and sensitive at times but this product worked really for me and I would use it again if I’m looking for a bit of a sun kissed glow especially since im not a huge tanner

First impression, the packaging is appealing in colour, but very hard to read the small wording due to the colour mixes. I like the lock on the pump so that it doesn't get spilt if you are transporting it.

My skin routine is a bit sporadic. I'm good at the night stuff, but not so good in the morning, and that's where I felt this should fit in, so I put it on before my moisturiser. I was surprised by how light it was - watching it glug around in the little bottle I thought it looked like it might be a bit sticky, but it was light and absorbed really well. I can be pretty sensitive to strong smells, when I put it on I thought the "tropical" smell was going to get to me, but it wasn't too bad. It did sort of fade to a definite fake take type of smell. I was quite sparse with application the first time as I didn't want to look like a carrot, which has happened before using face tanner. But I was pleasantly surprised by the soft glow it gave me. I think you could build it, but if I went too much more I would have to change my foundation. The main bonus for me was that it didn't break me out, I was waiting for my skin to put up a protest, but it didn't. Definitely something I would like to keep on hand, but for the price point and 6 month suggested use by I'm not sure if I will use it enough. I'm glad I get to keep testing it over winter for a couple of events I have coming up.

I wasn’t really sure how this serum would go for me, I’m very pale and sometimes tan can look very fake but this gave me such a gorgeous healthy glow after only one use. It was nice to the touch, went on beautifully without being sticky or oily. The smell was pleasant (not like tan at all) and it made my skin feel lovely and soft. The colour is subtle, and I think this will be perfect for getting me through winter without looking like a sickly Victorian child, and to top up my natural glow in summer. The size is good and will last ages as a little goes a long way. The rrp was a little concerning at the start but when I thought of it as a skin product and not a tanning product I definitely would purchase for the price. No need for brushes or sponges with this either as it goes on perfectly with your hands. Just be sure to wash the residue off your hands after application!

Can highly recommend this product. I am always skeptical to try new face products. This is just amazing! Love the bronzing effect which gives your skin a “natural” glow look. I have a sensitive skin, but this is really gentle. It also smells amazing on top of it all.

As someone who has been using face tan waters for quite a while, I was very excited to trial a bronzing serum. The serum itself is wonderful and makes my skin feel very moisturised and refreshed. The smell is divine and light and tropical. My only wish is that the bronzing aspect was a little more noticeable as I didn’t really get the tan/glow I expected from the serum.

This serum comes in a clear plastic bottle with a pump. It smells lovely, quite a tropical scent that doesn't really have the usual self tanning smell. The serum feels nice going onto my face and I think it did make my face glow. I didn't notice a huge tanning effect - I think the tan is very light and needs to be built up if you want to do a strong tan. I like the light tan effect as it means you can build it up without worrying that you'll look like a tanning disaster! Overall a really nice serum, but if you want a strong tan, I'd go with another self-tan.
