St. Tropez Self Tan Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse

When I saw this in the Beauty vault I hoped I would be quick enough to snatch up one of these beauties. It was a big success and within a few days it was at my doorstep. (Thank you Beauty review).

The day before I planned to self tan I exfoliated my body from head to toe ,before shaving my legs and making everything as smooth as possible. On the day of self tanning I exfoliated again concentrating on the edges of my feet, knees, elbows and ankles. Once I dried myself I applied moisturizer to the palms of my hands (In between my fingers), knees, ankles, elbows and around edges of my feet to prevent the tanner from soaking into those areas.

Using a tanning mitt I would pump 2-3 sprays onto the mitt and rubbed it into my skin using a circular motion, I did this all over my body and with the product that was left over on the tanning mitt I applied that to my face. This took about 20 minutes.

The self tan mousse was light and airy, it absorbed into my skin nicely and I was surprised with how nice the self tan smelt, it was lightly scented to other tanners. It dried quickly and I was about to put some clothing on within minutes after applying.

I wanted the darkest shade possible so I left the self tan on for the full 3 hours. Once the 3 hours were finished I showered the tanner off and looked at the results, I was very happy with the result. Prior to tanning my body was the whitest it had ever been, within 3 hours I had a caramel golden tan, I looked like I had been sunbathing on a tropical island somewhere.

1 week has gone by and I still have a touch of tan, I was afraid with how the tanner would leave but each day it has been slowly fading with me not noticing. No patchiness what so ever.

I will be repurchasing this again, it was extremely easy to use, it applied beautifully and it was lightly scented.

I got this product from the Beauty Vault. I love St Tropez Tanning products as their shade tends to be more tan and less orange, especially on my pale skin, so I was hopeful this product would be the same. I wasn't disappointed.

The mousse consistency makes it really easy to apply, and apply without streaks, as it wipes on but doesn't set so fast that you don't have time to even up the application. You can afford to apply a little slower than other tinted tanning products I've used to get a streak free finish.

I used a tanning mitt with the product for a really even, non-streaky application. Found about 2-3 pumps is enough for half a leg, or a whole arm. Any residual I'd use on feet, heels etc. where they don't need much to get a little natural looking colour.

The mousse itself doesn't smell strong and over-powering like other products. You can definitely smell it but even with the 1-3 hours develop time, you don't really notice the scent too much! There was no noticeable transfer of the product onto clothing either, during the developing time. I did leave it a good 20 minutes before popping clothes on though.

I'm very pale, so left the product for the 3 hours for some decent colour, and then showered it off. What was left was a nice natural bronze tan. Not too yellow or orange, but you could tell I had a tan. The 3 hours was definitely plenty for me. It lasts several days - close to a week, and the fade is natural looking.

I'll definitely purchase again. It's a great match for my skin tone, and easily the most even application of tanning products I've used.

This product was easy to use. I loved that it showed colour on application;The colour on application and developed is Stunning!

Friday- Tan looked beautiful. Saturday- Day of an event, my tan had broken up on my skin. It looked scaly and started to separate. I was horrified because this has NEVER happened to me before. I was very disappointed in this product.

I really like this tanning mousse its quick and easy to use and it doesn't have a really strong scent to it like some do. I received it in the mail after picking it from the beauty vault, and I was a little surprised of how small the bottle was, its more like a tester you could probably use it on your whole body once, maybe twice? but I choose to just use it on my legs because that's where I need it the most so it lasted me a little while. I like that you can choose the darkness of your tan, the first time I used it I left it on for 2 hours before washing it off for a medium tan, but after that I found I liked the darker tan which is 3 hours. Its easy to apply with a tanning mitt and comes out a really nice golden colour which is nice and natural. The tan lasts about a week and just slowly fades away without going patchy. I think I would purchase again but I would want a bigger bottle just incase I'm halfway through using it on myself and it runs out.

I am very impressed with this product. It is very easy to use, the self tan looks a natural colour and importantly, there's very little smell. I put some on and just left it rather than washing it off. I applied it with my fingers and washed hands afterwards with no staining. I used it on my legs and found it easy to blend. While I didn't put on clothes straight away, I found the product dried quickly and I don't have marks on my clothes which is a definite plus! Best fake tan I have ever used and will be using during the summer.

I was looking through my makeup drawer to find tanning products to use on my legs now that Spring is here, and found this, which I think I got in a BB. The bottle is very small, 50ml which would be handy for travelling I guess. Plastic lid with a pump which dispenses the caramel coloured foam, and easy to apply and rub in. I left on for two hours before washing off, and was left with a nice caramel coloured tan on my legs. Started to fade after nearly a week. I like that you can choose the depth of colour by washing off after one, two or three hours.

As I struggle to tan I purchased this product hoping to get a natural looking tan so I could finally wear shorts and skirts within giving people arc-eyes from staring at my white as milk legs.

Pump works great and product applied easily. Spreads great and didn't leave streaks. I guess using a mitt would work easier as I had an orangy tint on my nails even though I washed my hands immediately after application.

Instead of washing It off I decided to leave it on overnight to see what end result I would get. Even so I didn't get a really dark tan but I guess on ablank white canvas you cant expect miracles.

Liked the product, looked more natural than most other fake tans. Will purchase again.

It took me ages to try this tanning mousse as I seemed to have so many, then in the blink of an eye it was gone.

I was really excited to use a St Tropez tanning mousse, because they do come across as more luxe (and certainly the price tag does). So was it worth it?

It did give me a really nice shade tan, probably one of the nicest shades and I could get nearly half a week out of it, which was pretty reasonable longevity. It also lives up to it's one hour promise, although I leave on overnight as a personal preference. But for the price, I probably wouldn't rush to get it again, when I can get a bottle with twice as much product for the same price and with certain products I wouldn't probably notice much of a scent or shade difference.

This product is perfect if you can't get to a tanning booth. Easy to apply, great colour, not streaky. Unfortunately quite pricey though.

This was a product I was very interested to try - as it is more expensive as the usual tans I buy. I wanted to see why. I washed it off after 2 and a half hours, the colour was amazing! It wasn't too dark - which could be rectified by leaving it on longer or adding and extra layer. But no one could notice that it was fake! It looked like a genuine tan that you would get in the sun. Usually when I fake tan - my friends and family comment on it and ask if I fake tanned. Not one person questioned if it was fake as it looked like the perfect shade for my skin. I usually reach for green toned tans - this one was much more natural looking & I love it!
