SugarBaby Tan of the Hour

OK, I am shook! I never thought this product could be better or compare to Bondi Sands or COMPARE to Loving Tan. This tan was so easy and quick to apply (with a mitt and the back-up deluxe mitt). The tan dried insanely fast, it didn't leave my skin feeling all sticky at all. I slept in the tan so it could develop overnight and I woke up with the most beautiful bronze tan - probably a bit darker than I was expecting but that just means it will last longer, and I can confirm it has! The scent is vanilla/coconut and wasn't overpowered by the classic fake tan scent at all. I am now on day 4 and the tan is holding up very well! I am super impressed and will definitely be buying this once I run out!

A very nice and very natural looking tan. Packaging is super cute and it smells amazing and doesn’t have that stinky fake tan odour just smells like a lovely moisturiser. I was slightly worried at first as the tan itself was a very dark colour but it goes on great and develops into a really beautiful natural tan/bronzed colour. It goes on really easily (cannot recommend a sugar baby tanning mitt enough) blends out great - would recommend working rather quickly but it’s very easy to use and blend. It’s a reasonably thick consistency tan so I feel like I used a decent amount I was worried it might be streaky but it developed great and really wasn’t streaky at all even on ankles and knees. I was originally slightly confused as the packaging said it would develop within the hour but then also says it’s not developed until 2 hours but don’t wash it off for 4 hours. But you are bronzed in the first hour and it just continues to get darker. Even though it says ultra dark I am a light to medium skin tone and I slept in this and it was a beautiful natural tan in the morning when I washed it off and wasn’t too dark or orange ish. It is uncomfortably sticky for the first 10-20 minutes so definitely follow the instructions and don’t get dressed for that time - I popped on a silk dressing gown and that was fine but wouldn’t hop into bed or put jeans on until it’s dried down. The back tanning strap is absolutely fantastic also. It is the quickest and most even tan I have done on my own back and it’s so easy. I really recommend this product.

I was super excited to try this as I am a huge fan of the Sugar Baby bronzer, but hate that it washes off.

This tanning lotion is pretty cool, the bottle looks great (and somehow eco friendly!?!) and the lotion is a dark brown almost gel like consistency. You can definitely see where you have applied, it goes on smoothly and evenly - a little goes a long way which I realised too late! - and dries quickly. It has a nice tropical scent but you can still smell it’s a fake tan until you shower or off.

It’s effective right away and goes really dark after a few hours. I put this on at night and wasn’t sure I had applied enough and woke up to a SUPER tanned bod! It’s definitely olive toned and picks up natural pigmentation on the skin, but it did settle a bit after a gentle exfoliation the next night. Even with the back applicator, it was quite tricky to get it even as the colour develops so dark. The longevity seems good too and lasts at least three days before going patchy.

This is definitely a welcome addition to my fake tan collection as I need all the help I can get. It looks a bit overly fake given it’s only just spring and I’m super tan, but for tropical holidays or in summer will look a bit more natural.

I loved this product!! LOVED the mit for your back I actually used it for my whole body and it did so much better than a hand MIT, left no streaks...The Tan itself was beautiful, Didn't come out orange and I didn't need a lot of product, Also it drys really fast and last longer than 4 washes, I would recommend this to anyone and everyone and this is my favourite would not buy any other Tan product again 😻

I generally only use fake tan in summer because I find it a hassle to apply, but this was SO easy! I used a tan applicator glove which I really think is necessary, but the product itself definitely glides on smoothly. I then used the Sugar Baby back applicator to buff around ankles and knees.

I love the scent of this. Vanilla and caramel deliciousness. After a while the sweet fragrance disappears and you get the distinct ‘fake tan’ smell coming through, but it’s certainly not as bad as other products I’ve used.

I was also impressed that it started developing within an hour, exactly as advertised. It means if you unexpectedly get a sunny day and want to show some skin you can apply this in the morning and be ready for the day.

I applied my sugarbaby tan of the hour with a tanning mitt I had already. I liked the consistency as it was thick and creamy so was really easy to apply and it just glided on.

The smell was faint actually less than alot of other tanning products I couldnt notice the smell after application at all unlike others.

Great coverage, great colour dried really quickly so was able to get dressed about 10minutes after. I left on for 3 hours until I showered, and when I did I didnt use any soap I just let the water run over me to get rid of the top layer of bronzer, pat dried then went about my day.

I highly recommend this product. I use fake tan all through summer and this is now my new favourite.

I was super excited to be chosen for this review team! I am an all year round user of fake tabs and am always on the lookout for the next best one.

I like the colour of the tube it looks beachy and a nice goldy colour, also with the pink of the Sugar Baby brand. It promised to give a natural looking tan without the orangey look that some self tans give, so has to be a winner! The smell is actually really nice, compared to most self tans it didn’t have that much of a smell which was pleasantly surprising. The consistency is nice, quite thick and creamy and doesn’t drip which is great. It is very dark (ultra dark tan), and I thought maybe it was too dark and would look terrible but it didn’t! I was able to dress within about ten minutes too which was an important factor for me as I often apply when I’m getting ready for work and it needs to be quick drying.

It blended really well and I couldn’t see and streaks at all- I am a lazy tanner though and generally don’t exfoliate my dry areas haha however it didn’t seem to make much of a difference. The back tanner I received with the tan is a whole another level, what a fantastic idea! I have heard of these but never used one and was so glad I did! It is wonderful and easy to use once you get the hang of it.

All in all I really like this self tan, consistency, smell, ease of use and the colour are all great, I’ll definitely be buying this in the future!

Hi everyone. I used sugar baby tan (ultra dark )on the weekend. I have naturally olive skin ,so my skin tends to picks up warm colours really easily -so I found that this sugar baby tan was really lovely for me . It went quite dark as it is the ultra dark colour, so if you are have more pale skin, maybe it would be best if you did a lighter colour, but then again ….if you want to really ultra dark tan and you exfoliate properly and dry off and make sure your pores are closed before you apply it, I think you would be fine. It had quite a gel like consistency and I found it really easy to apply and not streaky - and you didn’t have to rub it much before it settles on your skin. I applied it in a circular motion rather than up-and-down, but I’ve kind of done that, with all my tans I’ve tried and it works well. One thing , I left this on for six hours.- it said for a darker tan 4 hours and I was tempted to leave it overnight but I’m quite glad that I didn’t because I had a really lovely dark golden colour tan enough for me (quite dark but very even) . There was no awful smell , on the contrary not much smell at all , It took probably around a good 15 to 20 minutes to dry after applying , before you put your clothes on after tanning, but I just put on a big, loose dress and that worked well. My daughter walked in this morning and said mum you look really good! so I guess it worked nicely! It’s a lovely feeling when you look in the mirror and think well I look like I’ve been on a wee tropical holiday , when really I was at home in kiwi winter 🤣One other thing my skin is not dry today as after some other tan products, so I think the Shea butter must work !
