Thank you for the opportunity to review this product. This light and non-greasy face cream is a delight. The smell of rose fragrance is wonderful. This very resonably priced cream is a must have. I would definitely purchase this product and was delighted to have included a brochure for other products by The Herb Farm so I will be placing an order for other products

Tips: Use morning and night, just heavenly
Thank you for the Herb Farm Rose Face Cream which definitely makes your skin feel very soft. I know I would be the target market for a cream such as this, being a Nana, but it did seem to be a bit old fashioned and being a cream was a bit too heavy for me. I use a face brightening serum and Magic Blur cream under makeup and more often than not Garnier BB cream which makes the Rose Cream superfluous. I did try it as a night cream but it felt as if it would block pores. I will use it on my throat and neck and it is beautiful on the backs of my hands and even healing on a dry patch of skin.
Tips: For night, use very sparingly.
Luckily I only purchased the 30ml size of this product and not the full size as I had a terrible reaction to this product. I purchased it from Commonsense Organics for around $16 or $17 from what I can remember. The product comes in an old fashioned apothecary style jar - tinted brown glass to prevent light damage to the cream inside. The cream inside is a gorgeous milky pale pink colour which is brimming with the aroma of real roses. I have a problem with rose scented things - cold creams, old fashioned lotions, hand creams, you name it I love the nostalgic feminine scent of rose scented products so I had to give this a try. Unfortunately I am prone to being quite allergic to these natural types of products and unfortunately this one caused the same reaction as usual - Hives all over my face and neck the morning after I had applied the cream the evening before. Fortunately my friend loves this so it did not go to waste. Overall a gorgeous rich moisturising cream which is lightweight yet very emollient at the same time. I would suggest staying away from this if you have ultra sensitive skin (are often allergic to essential oils) or if you have oily skin. If you have normal/dry skin and you love old fashioned rose scented products and natural skincare then you may well love this cream.
Tips: A little goes a long way. May not be ideal for overly sensitive skin or oily skin.
Absolutely love this cream, I have been looking for a good face cream for a long time and I've found it :) makes my skin feel hydrated and isn't over greasy, smells great too. Will definitely be purchasing this again when this pot runs out
Tips: Only need a small amount as it goes along way
As someone who has dry/combination skin, this has been a really lovely product to try out. My main concerns when it comes to moisturiser is that it is rich enough to prevent dryness and flakiness, but light enough to sink in quickly and sit well/not interfere with any makeup I wear that day.
I find that this moisturiser ticks all the above boxes. It’s a fairly thick, white cream, but a little goes a long way (I use about a 20 cent size amount) and it blends out somewhat like a lotion. It does take a couple of minutes to absorb and sink in properly, but once it has done that it doesn’t leave any kind of tacky residue like some richer creams are prone to do. It doesn’t interfere with the appearance or wear time of my makeup, and in fact I feel like my t-zone hasn’t been getting shiny as quickly as it sometimes does.
As the name would suggest, it has a rose fragrance. I personally like it, as it reminds me very much of plain rosewater, which is something I love. Once I’ve rubbed it in I can sometimes detect a faint herbally scent also which isn’t as pleasant, but it’s not strong enough to bother me, and it fades very quickly.
I love the look of the packaging, from the brown glass jar to the font. It is a jar rather than a squeezy tube or pump bottle, which does have its cons, but I don’t mind it, and it does look very cute sitting on my dresser.
In terms of its claims, I do think that it makes my skin soft and protected. However, I haven’t noticed any improvement in skin-tone in the couple of weeks that I’ve had to trial it, so I can’t say for certain whether that claim is true (hence the slightly lowered rating).
For the price, this is a really luxurious moisturiser that I would be more than happy to repurchase. Definitely worth checking out if you have slightly dryer skin!
Tips: Apply a couple of minutes before putting on makeup, so that it has time to sink in and sit well underneath.
The Herb Farm face cream is an awesome product, I have been using for about a year now and I love it. It is an affordable price. Its packaging is cute in a jar with a lid. I really like the smell of this face cream (it smells like roses) I don't find it to be too strong. The consistency of the cream is quite thick so you don't need to use a lot of the product. I find that this face cream works best on my face at night time after cleansing and toning, the next day when I wake up my skin feels so nice and soft and looks nice. I don't use this face cream during the day due to the thickness of it. Overall this is a great product and I would recommend it.
The Rose Face Cream does what it says it should, that is to soften and protect normal and sensitive skin types. A little goes a long way, so although the 50mL bottle costs $29.90, it should last a reasonable amount of time. This product would be best for someone with dry or sensitive skin, but probably not suitable for acne-prone skin as I found it slightly greasy/heavy. The hydration from the cream lasted well and left my skin (tends to be dry) feeling hydrated all day. Would I buy this product? Probably not, simply because it is a bit too expensive for the quantity.
Tips: Works well under tinted moisturiser and foundation.
I received this moistuiser as part of the NZ Brands Beauty Box 2. I admit, I had not heard of this brand before receiving one of their creams in the box.
It comes in a white and pink box, and says it is suitable for normal skin, including sensitive. The box does not specify if it is for day or night, so I decided to start using it as a night cream once my current night cream ran out. Some of its key ingredients are: rose, jojoba and sweet almond oil. The cream is in a little brown glass pot with a black lid. The cream itself is pastel pink with a mild, not unpleasant scent.
I have dry skin, and this seems to be quite a rich cream. It absorbs well into my dry skin, and I have not noticed any irritation so far. I find the cream to be nourishing, and I have woken up with hydrated skin.
Tips: This cream is very rich, so you only need to use a small amount.
I received this in the NZ Brands Best Ever Beauty Box 2. I do love natural skincare products. This face cream is a pastel pink and has that delicate rose absolute scent. Now what I do really like about this face cream is that it's really comforting and moisturizing for sensitive skin. I've had hayfever and the area around my nose was really red, irritated and peeling from constantly sneezing. This cream was really soothing and helped calm the skin down a bit as well as providing some moisture without it feeling really heavy and thick. This winter I have used this during the day under my spf moisturizer and at night as my night cream. I have been trying out some new chemical exfoliators and peels that caused some tingling and prickling so I like to apply this on over them as my last layer of skincare and this helps calm my skin down and fade the stinging sensations from using peels and acids. The ingredients of this moisturizer are water, sweet almond oil, glycerin, glyceryl stearate, sodium stearoyl lactylate, evening primrose oil, alkanna tinctoria root (Alkanet) in sweet almond oil, jojoba seed oil, cetearyl alcohol, organic shea butter, organic aloe leaf powder 200x, and rose absolute oil. The price for this natural face cream is pretty reasonable. Despite being slightly thicker it hasn't taken a really long time to absorb or made me break out. I think if I were using this during the summer I would find it a bit to thick and heavy for my taste, unless I was just applying it over any irritated skin from hayfever. But during winter it has hit the dry spots on my skin. In fact if don't apply any facial oil under this and just use toner it actually absorbs rather quickly. I think this is a good reasonably priced option for sensitive skin and I'm giving a pot to my sister since she has uber sensitive skin that reacts to everything.
Tips: This is a lovely cream to use after peels or nights you use chemical exfoliants or an skincare acid that would leave your skin sensitive. If you get hayfever and around your nose gets red, flakey and peels this actually really calming. I have even applied it around my eye area without any problems or irritation.
This face cream has a lovely gel like consistency due to it containing aloe vera as a main ingredient. The rose fragrance and the fact that it melts into the skin rather than sitting atop of if makes it a joy to use as a night cream. I was sent this product as a BR product review and since I've started using it I've noticed that my skin has become more supple and hydrated. Definitely would use again!
I would rate this product 5/5 if it was packaged with a pump rather than a jar.
