I find that a tiny bit of this product definitely goes a long way! I pat toner into my skin with my palms rather than using a cotton round (I find this works best for my skin - and the cotton pad seems to soak up quite a lot of product). I purchased this product for a reasonable price which is even better! The scent is quite strong but that’s like every tea tree product - the scent does fade quickly though which is good.

Reviews
Tips: I recommend using this daily to get the best results.
I have been purchasing and repurchasing this product lately I find it meets all my toning needs. I love a toner with witch hazel cause witch hazel is an ingredient used for many things(occasionally I get haemorrhoids and a cotton pad with witch hazel does the trick) along with tea tree which I love. Wish they had a bigger version but for the price it's great. Smell can be overpowering
Tips: Use along with a miscellar water or similar to dilute if it's too strong
At first I really liked the toner, because it made my skin feel really clean and fresh. But after a couple of weeks I noticed that my skin was getting SUPER oily by the end of work, or by the time I got into bed after doing my nighttime face routine - after eliminating a couple of other products, I eliminated the Tea Tree Toner, and the oiliness has subsided a lot. Which is a shame, because I really liked the smell and feeling of this product. It might just be me? Because it did work really well during the first 1-2 weeks.
I don't usually use a toner as I have not had great results in the past. I found after using the Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Face Wash for Acne that it left my skin incredibly tight and when following it with this product, it instantly relieved the tightness.
The tea tree scent is quite strong and overpowering, which can be off putting.
If I was to continue with the Thursday Plantation acne system, I would absolutely include this as part of my routine.
About Me
Let me start off by sharing a bit about my skin. I have very oily and acne prone skin. I've had acne for more than 10 years and have been on every drug, cream and face wash you can imagine. Things tend to work for me for around a month and then the acne returns. I believe my acne is hormonal and before using this product it was moderate in severity.
Results
I've been using this toner for around 3 weeks. Unfortunately it hasn't cleared up my skin. At first I used it morning and night but now I just use it at night. I noticed that during the day my skin was very oily a lot earlier than normal. Once I stopped using this is the morning it went back to how it usually is.
Would I recommend it?
I would recommend this product for those wanting a natural toner. I would not recommend it to those fighting acne.
Nuts & Bolts
Consistency- This is a little bit thicker than water but not as thick as oil.
Application- It's easy to apply, just apply to skin using a cotton pad.
Coverage-I usually just squirt a little onto a cotton pad and that does the whole face and neck.
Longevity- Based on how much I've used so far I would estimate this product would last over 2 months.
Packaging- I don't like this packaging. It's in a bottle with a cap and it leaks! It would be a lot better put into a spray bottle.
Tips: I thought only printers and photocopiers needed toner...I don't think it's really necessary if you take your makeup off properly.
The Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Toner is very much your standard toner - I wouldn't say its the stand-out product in the Thursday Plantation range, but does the trick! I use this after cleansing with the Tea Tree Face Wash, and it gets off any extra dirt or makeup residue from my skin. Some toners tend to sting my skin, but this one doesn't. It's also doesn't dry my skin out like many acne products do, which is a plus! Packaging-wise, the opening/closing lid makes it difficult to control the pour onto a cotton pad, so I think it would be better with a screw-on lid or in a spray bottle. But for only $12.90 a bottle, it's definitely worth trying - you can't really go wrong.
Tips: Use this alongside other products from the Tea Tree Acne range for the best results. The combination of these products altogether is dynamite against acne!
I am really in love and impressed that they combines Tea Tree and Witch Hazel! I mean how much better can it be?!! Its Perfect!
The combination of the two, for me, made the toner extra effective. All the extra deep down dirty literally got wiped away with this toner.
It has a nice Tea Tree scent to it but no traces of the Witch Hazel which I kinda expected because it smells divine!
I got to complain about the bottle, the cap it has made me waste to much product when applying it on a cotton pad. Just to much product came out. I would recommend a spray pump. Then you can spray it on ya skin and pat it on of spray it on a pad.
I have had acne for the last 20 or so years, and I'm now in my forties and still struggling with it. I was very excited to be chosen for the acne trial to see if this could be the product range for me. Sadly after using it for 2 weeks, my skin had broken out so badly, the worst it has been in years, that I stopped using the products. It irritated my skin so much that I am still breaking out. However I will review how I found the products.
The toner is the second step in the system, and is easy to use, has a push type lid so that you can get as much or as little as you like. I found it too strong both in smell and in the drying effect it had on my skin. I don't usually use a toner in my skin care, and I don't find it necessary in a skin care regimen. Again it may be useful for teenagers but far to harsh for my mature skin.
I use this as step 2 out of the range, it is very refreshing, and easy to apply with a cotton pad. It smells pleasant, not as strong as the other tea tree products. I'm probably about 1/2 way through using this after using it twice a day for over a month now. It takes off any remainder of the cleanser, and just makes my skin feel really clean afterwards without making it feel dry. My skin has definitely noticeably improved since using this skin care range. It's a great affordable skincare range that I will definitely be repurchasing.
I've tried many toners to help clear up my clogged pores but many just dry up my skin without doing much. I have used 2 other toners and gave up on using them after 3 weeks.
After trying this toner, I'm happy to say that I've been using it for over a month and it's done miracles! I will definitely keep on using it for the time being.
I started off using it twice a day as I used my other toners (morning & night) but it dried up my skin. I didn't want to give up on it just yet as it seemed to be working! I put it down to only once a day (usually the morning but sometimes it's at night) and it stopped drying out my skin too much and it got rid of most of my clogged pores! One thing I noticed which amazed me is the fact that I saw the icky yucky things clogging my pores come out as I applied the toner! (I applied using a thin cloth as I didn't have any cotton pads left). I usually apply after washing my face thoroughly with a good cleanser and warm-hot water to open up my pores.
I recommend this to anyone with oily skin or clogged pores (I have combination skin and it didn't dry out my skin too much when I used once a day followed by a moisturizer 30 mins later). If you have really dry skin I would suggest to try on once and wait a couple of days to check for any irritation. Also follow up with a light moisturizer.
The only thing I dislike about this toner is the packaging, sometimes it pours too much and it goes to waste. It would by much better as a spray bottle. I have half the bottle poured into a spray bottle and I use that when I'm in a rush and still does a great job!
Also, One bottle lasts a long time if you use carefully so for the price, it's an AMAZING DEAL! I got the bottle for sale at $8 from an online retailer.
Tips: - Use once a day (seriously it's enough)
- If you have dry skin, do one test and wait a few days before continuing
- Follow up with moisturizer but wait a little while (20-40 mins) to allow the toner to do its thing
- Pour the product in a spray bottle to avoid wasting the product and make application easier
