I won a bottle of this in a giveaway but had to get through another brand first. Lavender oil is probably my most favourite and useful essential oil and I have used it consistently for at least twenty years. Usually comes in a small bottle (10 mls) Thursday Plantation's version comes in a generous sized 25 ml bottle. Clear in colour and with a thin, oily consistency, the sharp but sweet fragrance is both calming and uplifting. I use it added to baths, neat on cuts, grazes and insect bites, a few drops on your pillow cases either after ironing or in the corner before you go to bed helps to provide a deep, refreshing sleep...I have also used it added to shampoo and conditioner as an effective kutu preventative. It can also be blended with quite a lot of other essential oils for either massage, bathing or to create s personal perfume. I use it on myself, used it on my babies when they were growing up and now my daughter uses it on my moko's. A bottle this size will last at least a year easily.

Tips: Every home should have a bottle.
I have had a bottle of lavender oil in the medicine cupboard for as long as I can remember. I use it in my washing machine - I put a washing powder scoop of water into the fabric softener dispenser and a drop of lavender oil to make the clothes smell nice as fabric softener is so bad for your clothes. I put a drop in the water when I was the floors. I add a drop to a spray bottle of water and using a cloth wipe down furniture, light switches etc etc. I also use this spray bottle mixture when I am ironing to freshen the fabric up. I have used it in my oil burner on occasion. I have not used it for any beauty type thing though- only ever for household stuff. I'm definitely going to read all these reviews and see what other great ideas people have for lavender oil!
Tips: You only need the small bottle- you only use a small drop each time so it lasts for absolutely ages.
This is one of those products that I must have lying around the house. I use it when my daughter is having a restless sleep. I also use it in her bath to soothe and calm. If I am feeling stressed, I'll burn it in an oil burner (I prefer the real stuff to the air freshener kind). I also add some to my washing while it's in the machine. When I was pregnant, I used to use it to help me sleep as well.
Tips: Rub a small amount on your temples to relieve head aches
I nabbed some of this in the May vault and it's been put to the test in a multitude of ways and performed great.
I should say that I'm not the hugest fan of lavender products. I love the flowers...outside. Lavender inside normally conjures up "toilet" in my mind. So it is with great relief that I can say this product is not at all toilety.
Like many essential oils it's an incredible multi-tasker so it's perfect for tucking away and pulling out when needed. I've used it in soooo many ways.
It's a renowned sleep aid. A little on a tissue next to the bed helps me and my daughter sleep on rough nights.
A few drops in the bath is lovely and also helps me relax before bed.
Lavender is a natural insect repellant so when I wipe down my walls I add a little to the solution to keep flies and other bugs at bay (and make my house smell fresh).
I'll definitely be repurchasing this but find that the bottle is very generous and it will last me a long time. A little goes a long long way so definitely err on the side of less is more for a start especially in a bath as it can be a tad overpowering.
Tips: Have a google for some other uses. There are many and some surprising ones that you may be using something more expensive and chemical laden for.
I was able to get a bottle from the beauty vault. I haven't previously owned a bottle of lavender oil so I don't have comparison base but I was happy to read that it was Lavendula Angustifolia oil instead of the other varieties of lavender oil which too harsh to be used directly on the skin. I used this to for a number of things.
Pimples - I applied to a big pimple I had twice a day for a couple days but it didn't seem to work and my skin burned a bit so I guess my skin was a bit sensitive. It didn't help the pimple go away and just irritated it for longer.
To calm down an allergic reaction/ minor rash - I was excited to use my new Natio Body Scrub I scored from the vault. Unfortunately, the first time I used it in my night time shower I broke out in a bunch of red, itchy bumps all over my arms, chest, back and tummy. I mixed a few drops of lavender oil in the palm of my hand when I applied body oil following my shower. Within a few hours I my skin had calmed down the and the slight rash had faded.
Vacuuming - I applied a few drops on a tissue and vacuumed the house. Made the room smell a bit like lavender.
I have given the bottle to my mom to add a add to some water in a spray bottle to spritz my younger sisters hair with as lice prevention. I would definitely consider buying a bottle of this in future and having it handy for more stuff.
Tips: I don't recommend you apply this directly on pimples as it irritated and burned my pimples and didn't help them go away. Good to mix with your body oil if you have irritation or a rash as it helped calmed down an allergic reaction I had to a body scrub.
I've always steered away from Lavender Oil to help me sleep as I've found it to be too much - but I love this. I've taken to putting it on my pillow, and suddenly I'm sleeping like a baby. A pleasant lavender smell, not to sweet or spicy or overpowering, and good longevity. Really impressed. I got this from the beauty vault sale so unsure what the RRP is, but the bottle is a decent size and will last a while - keen to put it in my oil burner too
A good price point and very useful for baths, laundry, first aid. I pick it up very cheap whenever I am in Australia.
Tips: Takes the pain out of wasp stings after you have used baking soda.
I found this product excellent. I sometimes find the smell of lavender can be overbearing but I diluted with a small amount of olive oil. Not only did it assist in relaxing me but at one point when I felt a headache coming on I used a small amount and applied it to my temples. My headache was relieved. I bring it down to the Lavender oil excellent product does what it says it will and would recommend it to anyone needing a natural assisting sleeping aid.
It was a tiny bit disappointing to see this Lavender Oil wasn't really 100% pure Lavender oil as it also contains some Limonene and Linalool for whatever reason..maybe they act as a preservative or something similar to that. Anyway it was a lovely fresh smelling Lavender scent that didn't smell too 'stale' and the gorgeous smell lasted well when I put a few drops into carrier oil and also used on pillows with great sleeping success! I even put some in the toilet bowl when I cleaned it and the gorgeous scent lasted really well in the bathroom. The little bottle was easy to use with a built-in dispenser top.
Tips: Google has heaps of lavender oil ideas.. it really is an amazing multi-tasker oil!
Lovely little brown glass bottle with a white screw cap and a purple label with white writing and the green plantation logo in the corner.I love this product and use it in so may ways.A few drops on my pillow to help me sleep, added to water as a room spray, a few drops in the final rinse for my undies, insect bites , rub into your forehead to relieve a headache and the lavender scent is divine. This is one of the nicer lavender oils I have used and as I have purchased a lot as this is my favourite go to product that is saying a lot.
Tips: If you are feeling a bit depressed massage into your temples for a quick uplift.
