Trilogy Age Proof Active Enzyme Cleansing Cream

This product states that it 'Refines for a smoother, brighter complexion'. Obviously that sounds fantastic so I was keen to try it out. The cleanser being a cream was quite light (not too thick, not too thin) and I liked how it didn't feel like it left a residue on my face, like some other cleansers and at the other end of the scale it didn't make my face feel like it had been over cleaned (you know when you skin feels slightly sensitive). I have only been using it for a week so I can't comment on long term effects but my skin has been feeling nice and balanced this week, not too oily and not too dry. As well as feeling slightly more clear and brighter. So verdict, basically this is a win, I will continue to use the product long term and am excited to see if it delivers on the promises to reduce wrinkles!

I enjoyed trialling this product as it felt like a little but of luxury- I've never used Trilogy products before due to the price tags but was so excited to get chosen for this trial!

I believe it delivers its claim to smooth and brighten your complexion, my skin didn't feel dry afterwards and it felt silkier, it didn't magically get rid of any of my skin problems but maybe with extended use the overall condition of my skin may improve. It's more of a silky cream consistency than a mousse, and has a faint fragrance, not overpowering or nasty at all, just subtle. It doesn't foam up at all just glides over your skin and a little amount covers a decent area. I love that its made in New Zealand too! Thumbs up from me, its a good size and quality product that will last a decent length of time and looks great in the shower or on the vanity, its easy to use and can compliment your current skincare regime.

I've recently started using this as my night time cleanser, I prefer foaming ones for in the shower. It is easy to apply over my face without having to wet my face before hand, I gently rub it into my skin, and it melts away the days makeup. I don't use it around my eyes however. It smells natural and pleasant. My skin is feeling really soft afterwards and not tight at all. I follow it up with the matching softening lotion and night cream by the same brand.

I got given a gift set full of the “Age Proof” minis and have only just started using this cleanser as I’ve run out of my normal cleanser. I usually avoid cream cleansers as my skin does get quite oily so I started using this one just at night. I needn’t have worried as this particular product doesn’t leave me looking like a greasy mess. It has a subtle scent, very subtle compared to some of their other products and has a rich creamy texture. I normally double cleanse to break my makeup down before using it but it does remove base makeup well too. I have tried using it to remove eye makeup but it did sting my eyes so I wouldn’t recommend it for the eyes. I was recently looking at the full sized bottle in Farmers and knowing how little I use I’d say it would last for ages. It definitely isn’t a cheap cleanser but Trilogy is often on sale in certain stores. I will definitely be purchasing this again as it leaves my skin clean but not stripped as many products tend to do.

In my work life I often advise parents not to put anything on their new baby's skin that they would not be prepared to eat. With this cleanser I can heed my own words. The presentation of the product is stylish. There is minimal, recyclable packaging which features those magic words, 'Made in New Zealand'. The rich, lightly fragranced cream works to a soft mousse-like texture when massaged onto moistened skin. It is then easily distributed on the skin and doesn't require several applications to thoroughly cleanse the contours of the face and neck. A little goes a long way. Trilogy Age Proof Active Enzyme Cleansing Cream then rinses away, taking every trace of makeup with it and leaving skin feeling fresh. My skin is inclined to be dry and sensitive, so when I cleanse I never use toner. After a week of use I have no problems with tight-feeling, reddened or flaky skin which I sometimes notice when trying a new facial product. I am very impressed with this cleanser and would recommend it for anyone looking for a gentle cleanser with exfoliant properties. While this is a pricey product, it is effective and I judge that it will last for a long while, you won't have to buy it every other week. I think I will have to investigate other Trilogy products on the strength of this one.

I have super sensitive skin & my skin flares up a fair bit when I chop & change my skin care routine, but I have to say apart for a little tightest around the eyes (yes I used it to remove my eye make up) the rest of my skin felt great & no reactions what so ever.

I was rapt that it also removed mascara, stoked at how much it felt like a Beauty Spa product, rich,creamy but not too heavy.

Love the packaging, super cost effective, as a little goes a super long way. Haven't been using it long enough to see if it delivers with the smoother, brighter claim, but will continue to use it & interested to see if it will.

Would recommend this product without hesitation.

To be honest I didn't have high expectations... its just a cleanser right?! I was very pleasantly surprised. This stuff has definitely lived up to the description on the box, I feel like it has refined and refreshed my skin -(as well as the basics of removing makeup etc). My skin feels smoother and healthier after using this...I've even started leaving it on awhile (afew minutes) while I brush my teeth and it feels really good afterwards. I will buy this in future and look at adding other products from the range to my regime.

I was impressed at the performance of this cleansing cream - my skin was beginning to feel quite clogged with the heavier products I use in winter and cleansing with the Trilogy Active Enzyme really helped to clear some of the congestion around my chin. I will probably use this product once or twice a week as an additional cleansing step when my skin needs it, rather than an every day cleanser. I suspect it could become a bit too drying for my skin if used too often. My skin feels very soft and smooth after I use it, and it doesn't make my face feel tight and over-clean like some other cleansers do.

I commenced using this product the day that it arrived. I followed the instructions on the package to ensure that I did do as suggested. I I found this product cleaned my skin and removed my make-up. In order to test it further after removing the product I wiped my face with toner on a cotton wool pad. To my delight the white pad remained white without a trace of makeup. My skin felt clean with the added bonus being that this product used water to wash it off. No residue remained, would definitely use again. Given the short time frame for its use it is too difficult to suggest that it made a significant difference as cell turnover is not that instantaneous.
